As they walked, Delano wanted to defend himself. "Hey, you wanted to join in anyways!" he muttered angrily at Nahaai. "And you know you don't know how to hunt! So at least the others will act accordingly, like you know, not expect you to do anything! And besides..." But he stopped talking when Simba stopped and announced their presence to the rest of the hunting group.

Listening to how the other lions reacted to their lack of hunting abilities, Delano was seriously starting to think of ways that they would be able to avoid in joining in with the hunt. But those thoughts got sidetracked when Simba tried to prevent Nala from joining.

Nala frowned when Simba told her to stop. "I am perfectly fine to hunt, Simba," she replied, "and I've lead enough times before to know what I'm doing." She smirked at him, showing that she wasn't going to let even Simba stop her from leading this hunt.

Mufasa didn't really understand, but he nodded anyways. "Yes, Rafiki, I think I understand." What he really got was that he should still be on alert about these two lions, but not to banish them out right right away. This still didn't fully settle his anxiousness.

But maybe Simba might help. Mufasa got up and bid Rafiki a good day as he made his way back to Priderock, hoping to find Simba and talk to him before the evening.

Nahaai wanted until Simba was back to talking to Nala. "Well fine maybe I didn't think this through, but it doesn't matter..." Delano and Nahaai both eyed Simba who was still with Nala. Nahaai then continued. "...now we have to hunt and there's no way to get out of it."

Simba admired persistence in a mate, but he was concerned for both her safety and the safety of their soon to be born cub. She was more than able to make her own decisions however, so he let her go. "Go easy on them now, those animals don't stand a chance against you." Nala swelled up with embarrassed when he spoke to her like that in front of the other lionesses and he knew it. He was purposely trying to get her angry, just so she would catch more prey. He truly was a sly kitty.

"Go on you two." Simba said to the guests. He then saw them trailing the lionesses as he made his way back to Pride Rock.

Mufasa began his walk back to Pride Rock and felt his chest swell up in pain. He collapsed to the ground a collapse thud. He hadn't walk too far, so Rafiki was able to notice him. "Oh dear." Unfortunately Rafiki would take sometime in signaling help.

An hour later, he finally made it to the nearest watering hole where Zazu was drinking. "Zazu come quickly." He panted between nearly every word he spoke. "What on Earth are you talking about?" he inquired. "Mufasa is hurt." Something told him that the new guests were to blame. "Where?". Rafiki pointed in the direction of the still fallen lion.

After overcoming her embarrassment by glaring at Simba, Nala brightened up and smiled brightly. "Alright then, I think we're ready," she said, looking around at the various pride members who would be joining in on the hunt. "Let's do this!"

As one, the entire group began to walk towards the open savanna, where the prey was. As they walked, Nala slowed down a little to get next to the two new lions. "Don't worry much. Just do what the others will tell you to do, but other than that, just try to avoid scaring the animals or alerting them... watch if you want, but if this is really you first time hunting, I don't think it will be a good idea for you to actually try... hunting." She nodded her head, agreeing with her thoughts. "Yes, so stay out of our way."

Delano frowned. "Oh, alright." Nala was right, it was better for them to just watch, and that was what he was planning to do anyways, but he didn't really appreciate being ordered around. Back at the zoo, he was never ordered around, because there was no one to give out the orders. But with Nala telling him what to do, no matter how much well she meant, he still couldn't help but feel offended.

"You're getting offended, I can tell" Nahaai could sense whenever Delano was uncomfortable. If living with the other feline in an enclosed space for all his life had taught him anything, its that knew when Delano was out of his comfort zone. "You aren't used to someone bossing you around, aren't you?" Delano was about to respond to Nahaai's comments when Nala got both of their attentions. A gazelle had been spotted up ahead and the lionesses were about to take it down.

Zazu hurried as fast as his wings could carry him. He knew he would never be able to live with himself if something happened to the Lion King. "I hope I'm not too late"

Nala spotted a promising gazelle and quickly hissed at Delano and Nahaai to shut up. They did, but then she also had to motion for them to lower themselves as not to be seen. Amateurs indeed, they didn't know a thing about stealth. Making sure that the two lions did not move anywhere, she slowly crept forwards, eagerly tensing up for the chase.

Delano frowned as he was ordered yet again not only to be quiet, but also to crouch down. In protest, he mouthed 'anything else?' but still did as he was told, thinking that it would still be best to follow orders, no matter how much he didn't want to.

From where they were, Delano and Nahaai got a good enough view of the hunt, and were able to observe the various lionesses movie into position. At first, Delano thought that the tension before the hunt was so great, that it was audible. But then he realized that the low rumble he was hearing was not in his mind. It was in fact a noise that, he and Nahaai were very used to, but to the Pridelanders and the gazelle, as the rumbling grew louder, they became very unnerved.

Nala could almost taste the meat of the gazelle, but before she gave the order for the hunt to commence, a loud rumbling overtook them, and the gazelle took off, afraid. Angry at the loss of a good hunt, Nala looked around, wandering what could have possibly have caused the noise, which was now fading. It never occurred for her to look up.

Her eyes fell on Delano and Nahaai, the only ones around her who did not look effected by the noise. "You!"[/b[ She exclaimed, [b]"What did you do?"

Neither Nahaai and Delano could figure out what the lionesses were making a big deal of. "What do you mean?" Nahaai asked. He was starting to wonder whether lionesses would turn on them. He remember that Mufasa was able to take both of them down without a second thought, just imagine what all these lionesses could do. He gulped and took a step back in fear.

Simba was only inches from his sacred den in Pride Rock when he noticed that nobody was at home. His father was on business, his mother was at the watering hole with Sarafina, and all the lionesses were hunting with the newbies. Then, all of a sudden, he heard the noise as well. "Huh?" he looked around trying to find the source of it.

Zazu continued flying at top speed in the direction Rafiki had pointed. Suddenly he spotted the body of the great king layed strung out in the hot Savannah field. "Oh dear" he wondered whether to summon help or attempt to aid him himself. Having already flown out this far, the majordomo decided to try something himself. Descending a rate unheard of before that time, Zazu landed directly in front of the motionless animal. "Sire!" He asked in a nervous manner. Suddenly, Mufasa began to stir. "Are you alright? What happened?" Zazu inquired, but only after he let out a great sigh of relief.

Delano saw a large shadow quickly move across the land, and move away as the noise died down. He looked up just in time to catch a small gimps of the airplane flying over head. He smiled slightly. Finally he got to see one with his own eyes. So the other animals back at the zoo weren't lying. Humans do fly.

Nala narrowed her eyes at Delano. "What are you smiling about? Our hunt is ruined!"

Delano tore his eyes from the sky and back down at Nala. "Oh, it's what caused the noise," he said, "kind of hard to explain. But it's big and it files."

Mufasa groaned in pain. he didn't know what had happened. "I don't know Zazu," he told his trusted majordomo, "all I know is that I was heading back to Priderock when I felt a tremendous pain and I collapsed. Shouldn't be much, though." He slowly got up to his feet and began to walk back to Priderock.
