Gakuru noticed that his name was not mentioned but he didn't say anything about it. "You can't have anything you wish for... Why don't you take Dakari on a little talk?"

Mufalfa said, "Here goes nothing..." He walked up to Dakari and said, "Are you crying?"

Dakari raised an eyebrow at Mufalfa, "No... Not as far as I'm aware."

Mufalfa said, "Well that's a good thing because if my insults hurt that much you would indeed be pathetic. Leave Mzuri and the cubs alone from your presence and come with me for a moment."

Dakari looked a little confused but he got up and followed Mufalfa.

Mufalfa then said, "No matter what you think I've always thought of you as a son...I feel closer to you than my own son...why do you think I'm the hardest on you...besides Gakuru that is who just rubs me the wrong way..."

Dakari's ears flattened against his head and he said, "I'm sorry from before... It's just that it's hard to not see anything you say as an insult... I know you really did mean to congratulate me and Mzuri."

Mufalfa said, "No I'm sorry I know what it's like not having real parents. You feel bitter towards others. I'm sorry I wasn't a real parent to you..."
