Suddenly however the lion looked at Marini, "Perhaps I will enjoy myself and relax." He then said to her, "Come on."

Marini listened immediately and stood up. She could already tell that it will be hard to make it look like she really loved him and that it will take a lot of time.

The lion said, "Well I'm going to relax." He laughed and pushed her down and started to get distracted.

Marini showed absolutely no sign of resistance. She let him do whatever he wanted to her and even showed him affection. However once she saw the chance to bite at his throat she did just that, closing her jaws as hard as she could.

The lion immediately backed away and grolwed as he made one last ditch effort to kill her cub.

The lion's backing away only worked for Marini's benefit since he had to injure himself even more in order to get out of her grip. She noticed he was heading for her cub and ran after him. The cub's eyes went wide as he saw the lion pounce at him. He managed to get back to his senses however and moved aside before running towards his mother. Marini eventually caught up with the lion and pinned him down, "Scums like you don't even deserve to be born." she growled and bit his neck again.

Mufalfa was suddenly standing over them with a startled look on his face after she killed the lion and said in a jokingly nervous fashion, "Uh I hope I won't make you that mad where you want to do that to me." He then looked at his son and noticed disappointment in his eyes, "Son you have to believe me I tried to get here as quick as I could."

Marini looked at Mufalfa with a grin, "I doubt that will happen..." she went over to him and nuzzled him, hoping he got the message. The cub said, "Uh... Mom you didn't really love this lion did you?" Marini looked at him and said, "Of course not."

Mufalfa looked at his son, "I know what this lion told you son and in some ways he was right. I wasn't strong enough to protect you."

The cub asked, "Uh... Will mom become pregnant now?" Marini shook her head, "No. While a lioness' cubs are young she can't have more."
