Marini understood. That behavior sure fitted someone who hung around Mufalfa.

However Mufalfa smiled awkwardly at his friend which made it look strange until suddenly the friend said, "I see you're doing better than I am Mufalfa. A nice home, a good mate, children, what a good life but I don't have that."

Meanwhile the others stopped since Mufalfa told them it would be safe to do so once they found him. Gakuru placed his sister down and Dakari brought the cubs over and put them down next to her.

Suddenly the lion growled and said, "Well I get what I want now you maggot Mufalfa! I hate you!" Suddenly he grabbed two cubs but in the mix-up it was one of Mzuri's cubs and Mufalfa's male cub. Mufalfa tried to calm him down, "Wait a minute now. No need to bring cubs in this. What do you want? Food?" The lion looked at Marini, "Her."

Mufalfa's cub gulped and Mzuri's cub began crying. Marini growled, "Let the cubs go."

Mufalfa said to Marini, "Shut up!" He then said to the lion, "Anything you want..." The lion laughed, "I'll take your cubs, your mate, and this land in front of you." He looked at Mufalfa's cub, "What do you think boy? You want me to be your dad hahaha." Mzuri pleaded, "Please let my cub go!"

The cub tried to struggle out of the lion's grip but he was too small.

Mufalfa looked at his son, "Son do what he says and you won't get hurt..." He then said, "Here take all of the food you want..." However the lion laughed, "Well Marini I'm waiting...or do I need to take these two cubs to Gakuru's father?"

Marini growled, "I'll go with you if you let them go."
