[Closed] Little Stranger (Taraji Chapter 1)

Rahina grined. Kopa could be a cub from time to time but she loved this side of him as well.
"Maybe we can find a high place where we can see the whole land. This would help us to decide where to go." Rahina purposed. The opportunity of having a rest at this point was one reason for her to suggest this. But on the other hand Rahina also was a bit afraid if her idea would not backfire and she would run out of stamina while climbing.

In the end she might have to tell Kopa that she was not feeling well but she did not want to make him worrying about her. Rahina knew that Kopa was overprotective about her. It was true that Rahina also was very protective of him but... one of this protection she wanted to give Kopa was to keep him from worrying about her.

Rahina rolled on the side and let the sun shine on her belly. She looked up to Kopa and tried to keep the conversation running. "What do you think? Or should we take the peace of this place with noone around to rest in the sun?" she winked with her eye as if she only meant it as a joke. To be honest this was the thing Rahina wanted to do the most. A good rest with her beloved Kopa on her side.

Kovu's embarrassment briefly abated as Nala described her reasons for being there, but returned in full force for a new reason as she went on. He hadn't even considered what would happen if Taraji woke up... He supposed that he had assumed that she would wake him if she needed anything.

"Gosh" he said, looking down at the little life that had wandered off without him. "It's a good thing that you were there to cover for me. I guess we never thought that Taraji would go off alone, she's usually so shy and quiet. Don't worry though Nala, we'll get this parenting thing right, I promise." He unconsciously began speaking as though he was vowing to fight off an invincible stream of rogues, may he prevail or die bravely in the attempt.

Now that he was up though, Kovu was itching to go see Vitani. She'd looked pretty bad the night before, and he considered it his brotherly duty to at the very least stay up to date in her situation. He'd just wait for Taraji to finish her snack, and then move the pair of them up to Pride Rock...

Taraji listened to the conversation of Kopa and Nala while she was drinking. Finally she was full and her muzzle left the belly of Nala. She licked her muzzle to get the last drops of the well tasting liquid and her sparkling eyes looked to Kovu.
"I only have gone because you did not want to wake up and I was hungry..." Taraji said a bit feebly. "... and now I need..." Taraji stopped and her crystal eyes oved to the ground and then to Nala and back to Kovu but directly to the ground. She seemed to be embarrassed to say what she needed to do.

Grinning from his mate’s suggestion about lounging around in the sun, Kopa couldn’t help but to give his precious lioness a very affectionate nuzzle as he whispered in her ear.

”Oh, that sounds very tempting Hina but you know what might happen if I stay too close to you for so long…and here we are…in the open…for everyone to see us.”

Chuckling from his own suggestive comment, Kopa gently licked over Rahina’s soft neck fur as he thought about what else she had mentioned. Figuring that the highest point to view these lands from would have to be at the top of the structure that everyone referred to as Pride Rock, would be their best bet. Meeting his beloved mate’s gaze, swooning over just how attractive she looked with the radiant sunlight beaming over her flawless frame, Kopa spoke softly to her as his fore paw lightly caressed her hindquarters.

”Hmm, the best high place that I can think of is at the top of that Pride Rock place my precious. Do you want to take a trip up there? I think we’re allowed up there, or at least I just assume we are.”

Now that Taraji was finished suckling from her, Nala casually rose to her paws as she heard the little cub’s remark, causing the cream colored queen to giggle once more as she looked over at Kovu with a kind expression, speaking in a happy tone to her son-in-law.

”Oh, it’s okay Kovu. Simba and I weren’t the perfect parents our first time either so don’t beat yourself up too badly over it. Seems like your daughter needs something now though.” Nala stated, giving a playful smirk to him, as she already knew what the crystal eyed cub needed to do. ”Go ahead Daddy and do your work now.”

Giving a wink to Kovu, figuring that he was clever enough to take the subtle hint that his daughter was giving him now, Nala leaned down to give Taraji a quick nuzzle before she moved towards the entrance of the den, addressing the both of them before she took her leave.

”Well, I better get back to the main den. I left Kiara there to watch over your sister Kovu but I wasn’t expecting to be gone this long. I better go relieve her of her duties while you go help Taraji to relieve her of hers. Do you want me to send Kiara back here to find you two, or will you be coming up to see your sister soon Hun?” Nala stated, looking at Kovu with a warm smile. ”I’d suggest not bringing Taraji into the main den though, with Tani being in the shape she’s in. It’s just not that pleasant of a sight for a little cub to see after all. That’s the main reason why I brought her back here to give her a meal. That, and to startle you out of sleep, which I think I accomplished both today.”

Rahina purred as Kopa licked her and closed her eyes for a moment. "Your suggestion with pride rock sounds good. Maybe I could meat with the queen Nala and thank her for her kind greeting the other day." she opened her eyes and looked to Kopa. "Even if lying here with you in the sun also would be nice. But we can do that any other day so lets go."
Rahina raised to her paws and turned towards pride rock. She just hoped that she would not be drained before pride rock.

Taraji smiled shy to Kovu and rushed out of the den searching for a private place to follow her urge. She was relieved as the pressure fade away and she was finished. With a happy face she returned towards the den.

Between Taraji's shifty demeanor and Nala's knowing hints Kovu had no trouble infering exactly what little Taraji needed to do. Before he could respond though, she shot off just outside the den and took care of her needs. Kovu chuckled in bemusement, then turned back to Nala to ask a favor.

"Yes I absolutely want to come see Vitani, how is she doing? If you don't mind watching Taraji here for a moment I'll ask Kiara to come take care of her as soon as I get up to Pride Rock. Or I could come with you to Rride Rock and I'll let Taraji meet her mom again up there."

Seeing his precious mate ready to go now, Kopa gave himself a quick stretch before he darted off towards the direction of the looming structure ahead of them, calling after his precious mate.

”Okay Hina. Keep up this time my precious.”

Sprinting at a fast pace, Kopa watched the scenery fly by as the pair of felines retraced their steps back towards Pride Rock with Kopa in the lead once again. Occasionally shifting his gaze back towards his mate, feeling rather concerned by the way her speed seemed very slow from what he was used to seeing from her, Kopa once again, slowed his strides to allow his precious lioness to catch up before they arrived at the majestic landmark.

Pausing for a moment to survey the surrounding area, Kopa looked over at Rahina with a worried gaze as he spoke gently to her.

”Are you sure you’re feeling okay Hina? We don’t have to go up here if you aren’t feeling good. I’ve just noticed that you don’t seem to be your normal, energetic self today. Maybe you should take it easy instead. I didn’t mean to force you to come on this little run with me. I just thought we could use the exercise is all.”

Moving in close to Rahina, Kopa lovingly nuzzled her chest, which seemed to be rising and falling at quite a fast rate, seeing how his dark furred love was panting so hard.

Pausing in mid stride, turning her back to where Taraji had bounded off towards, to give the cub as much privacy as she could, Nala’s ears perked up as she heard Kovu’s request. Making her way back towards the entranceway, the cream colored queen nodded as she took a seat in the grass before speaking.

”Of course Hun. I’ll look after Taraji for you. Take all the time you need and just send Kiara here when you get the chance. I should really find out where that lazy king of ours has gone off to. Haven’t seen him since this morning.”

Spotting Taraji, who had finished answering the call of nature now, Nala spoke in a motherly tone to the crystal eyed cub.

”Your daddy here is going to go get Mommy Kiara for you Taraji, so I’m going to stay with you until she comes back, okay?”

Giving Kovu the nod as to let him know that he could go ahead and leave if he wanted to, Nala turned her focus to Taraji now as she gave the little cub a quick glance over, noting the small amounts of dirt that had compiled in her reddish fur, most likely from her little adventure in The Grasslands earlier.

”How about a nice bath Taraji? Would you like that Sweetie?” Nala asked in a caring voice as she laid herself down in the grass, seeing no need for them to be cooped up in the den when it was such a nice day out.

After daxis finished Eatung His meal He ran instantly towards laini and saw she ate too Little. The Red maned cub was à bit worried He opened His tiny muzzle And spoke.
"mommy Why are your eating too little"
He went Next to her muzzle and licked a Bit Blood from the meat away.

"Thanks Nala" Kovu said with a grateful smile. "Back in a flash."

Without further ado Kovu ran off towards Pride Rock. He hurried, not wanting to indispose Nala any longer than necessary. When he reached the entrance to the main den he took a moment to compose himself, not wanting to burst in on what could be a somber scene. He then poked his head inside, and some of the tension inside faded as he saw his beloved mate standing guard over Vitani's limp form. Knowing that Kiara had been taking care of his sister set his mind partially at ease.

"Hey sweetie" Kovu said in a hushed voice. "Nala's down at our den with Taraji, I promised her you'd be there soon to take our little one off her hands, but first: I came up to see Vitani, how is she?"

Taraji looked after Kovu with a sad face as she lay down next to Nala. She put her head in the neck and looked up to the queen. "I also want to go to Kiara." she said shy. But she rolled on her back to receive the bath from Nala.

Laini smiled and nuzzled Daxis. "I don't need so much food because I am not growing anymore. Are you full or should I go and get some more?" Her blue eyes looked into the eyes of the cub.
