Balto sighed and returned the nuzzle. "If only that were true, Zen-Aku. I'm getting old. I don't have the strength I used to have. Remember, strength somewhat fades as we get older," he said.

"So, Steele's getting old too Grandpa." He smiled. "Yeah Uncle Balto, Steele's a little older than you anyway." Tundra added.

Suddenly, another voice rang out behind them. "And you have our help too," it said. The group turned to see Nikki, Kaltag and Star standing there.

Balto went over to them. "What are you doing here?" he asked. He hadn't seen the trio since they helped him deliver the medicine to Nome.

Kaltag looked at Balto. "Listen carefully, Balto. Steele is plotting to frame you for the death of the pup that bit him. We overheard him saying this when we passed his living space," he said.

Thor and Aleu were shocked. They looked at their son. "Perhaps it's time we left and rejoined the pack back in the woods until the issue is dealt with," Aleu said.

Jenna looked at them. "As much as I don't like using violent methods of dealing with Steele, we have no other choice. Also, what are we going to do with Ice?" she asked.
