Delano shook his head. "No. Maybe in a few days. I want to first know that it's safe enough for me to leave. Of course, if it will seem like I won't have to leave, then I won't, but as things stand now, I have to." He then got up, feeling tired. "Goodnight," he said, and walked over to Lina, lying down next to her.

As he fell asleep, Delano tried not to think about what would happen in a few short days.

Muroki looked at his brother, "Goodnight." he smiled after a few moments as she noticed Umeme heading towards him. Nuzzling her gently, they went ahead and lay down at their usual spot in the den. "Anything new?" he asked in a low voice so to not disturb anyone, wondering whether there was anything Lina told Umeme that Delano haven't told him. He figured that Lina probably explained how they'll be leaving messages for each other. Muroki liked the idea of being able to somewhat communicate with his brother.

Umeme lay down next to Muroki and closed her eyes. "No, not really," she whispered back. "Lina just doesn't want Delano to leave. She didn't sound really angry though, just sad. I kinda hate seeing her like this." She sighed and rested her head against Muroki's mane. "I think Delano should stay, like you. It'll be better for us."

Muroki let out a sigh as well and held Umeme close. "I know, I think so too. I tried talking him into changing his mind and I'm sure that Lina did too, but he's too determined to change his mind." he didn't want to think what will happen if Delano never came back, immediately forcing the negative thought out of his mind. At least Lina wasn't angry at Delano, he didn't want to see the two getting into an argument and then breaking up or growing distant from each other. So despite the fact that Delano was leaving, Muroki knew that it can be worse.

Umeme felt Muroki sigh and knew that he wouldn't do anything. "Your just going to let him go?" She asked quietly. "Well, he is your brother, and you know him better. I hope that in the end, it will end up alright." It wasn't her place to try and get Delano to stay, even if she thought that it might be better. If both Lina and Muroki agreed to it, they must have had their reasons. Especially Lina.

"Night, Muroki," she whispered, smiling before falling asleep.

Muroki held back another sigh. He really wished that Delano would change his mind and decide to stay, but he knew his brother well. When there was no changing his mind there was no changing his mind. He hoped that Delano knew what he was doing and that nothing bad will happen to him. "Goodnight Umeme." he whispered, smiling and licking her cheek, "Love you." he lay his head down next to hers and also went to sleep.

The next morning, when Delano woke up, he saw that Kasi was already up, and sitting by the entrance of the den. Moving over to his cousin, Delano sat down. "Good morning, Kasi," he greeted, "feeling better?"

Kasi nodded a little. "Looks like mom will be fine, but Tango's still gone, but I can't really change it. So I guess that yeah, I'm somewhat better." He watched Delano, and finally asked. "Is it true that your leaving? I was there yesterday when you talked with Lina about it, but I want to know for sure."

Delano sighed. "I don't think I have a choice, Kasi. We already tried letting it go past us, but that didn't work so well. I feel like I must do something, so yes, I'm going to leave." He knew that he had to choose when to leave. "If nothing happens that will require me to stay here for longer, I will leave in two days," he finally said. "Waiting any longer would make leaving too difficult."

Muroki, who also woke up in the meantime, walked over to the two in time to hear the last of what Delano said. "Not that I want you to leave," he said, sitting down next to him. "But two days can seem like a lot of time for you, or for Lina. She's probably sharing the opinion that the longer you stay the more difficult it will be to have you leave, so maybe you shouldn't stay that long. Beside, the sooner you leave the sooner you'll come back." he smiled and nudged his brother's shoulder, "Which you will, don't make me come looking for you." he said in a sort of a joking manner.

Delano let out a small laugh, understanding what Muroki meant. "Hey, don't worry. When I said that I'll come back, I meant it. Still do." But then he stopped smiling, taking in his brother's words about leaving earlier. "But when will be a good time to leave then?" He asked.

Kasi of everyone had an answer. "Delano, right now, everyone know that you are about to leave, and really, the mood isn't that great. And with you staying, it just prolongs it. So really, I think it will be best if you left today."

Delano was slightly taken back. "To-today? But what about Lina? We..."

"Yes, I know that you want to spend time together," Kasi cut his cousin off, "But tell me that that time was the best you had together. Then I might change my mind."

Delano looked at the ground, ashamed. Kasi was right. While he did enjoy the time spent with Lina, the impending moment of hen he would leave prevented them from fully enjoying themselves. But he still looked at Muroki, hoping that his brother might say something else.

Muroki was still for a few moments before nodding at what Kasi said. "Not what I was going to say exactly but it's also true." He doubted Lina was happy about what Delano was about to go off and do, but obviously the longer he stayed the harder the moment he was going leave at will be. "The longer the time you hang around the harder it will be for Lina and for all of us to see you go." he was quiet for a moment before adding, "And probably the same way around if you ask me." he had little doubt that if Delano thought about it for a moment, he would realize that the longer he stayed the harder it will be for him to get up and leave.
