Kopa smiled. "I heard him roaring and knew that something was not right. I had to stop him. Thankfully, no one was injured," he said. He thought about it. "I wonder how my father and grandfather would have dealt with this," he added.

Vitani shrugged at that last statement, not having even the slightest clue to what the answer might be. They'll probably never know either.

Finally, they reached Pride Rock. Kopa looked around. "Hmm, I wonder if I should assign some of the lionesses to stand guard. We could rotate who does the job," he said.

Vitani nodded, "Sounds good." for all she cared they could just go ahead and send a few lionesses to seek Kali and take him down, she just wanted him out of her life."[/b]

As they were speaking, Dotty exited the den. She had heard them talking. "Your majesties, I am willing to stand guard for you," she said.

Vitani smiled. "Why are you up in such a late hour?" she asked, curious. She didn't have any doubt that anyone would refuse the help them keep an eye out for Kali, since he was, in the end, intending to hurt the entire pride.

Dotty sighed. "I've had trouble sleeping tonight. I have no idea why. It's never happened to me before," she said. It was true. She had never had trouble sleeping.

Vitani also couldn't tell why was Dotty having trouble sleeping. "Well, we'll talk about what to do in the morning." she said as she went inside, feeling exhausted.

Dotty settled down in a spot outside the den to start guard duty. Kopa followed Vitani into the den, laying down near her.
