Suddenly lion growls were heard in the distance.

Gakuru looked in the direction of the growls but couldn't see a thing. 'It can't be that they caught up so far... We left when they were a few days away, it would make sense if they were still as far considering we barely stopped.'

Gakuru's father spoke in his head, "Keep thinking that my son. We're going to enjoy eating your sister's cubs."

Gakuru bared his teeth and said, "We have to keep moving."

Gakuru's father mocked, "You'll kill her if you make her stand. Why don't you accept the inevitable and give your good old father a hug...while he slices you across the back hahaha."

Gakuru continued looking into the distance, talking to Mzuri as he did, "How long do you think that... this will take?"

Gakuru sighed in annoyance and continued looking into the distance. Time passed and he couldn't see anything in either way, and they were in the middle of nowhere so they would see them from afar.
