I would guess all the Pridelands (predators and prey) would come together as one family, and watch Rafiki perform a ritual on how the Pride Lands came to be. It's kind of like how Christian artists would put on a theatrical performance of Jesus's birth, which began Christianity, so Rafiki's ritual would be showing the origins of the kingdom similiar to a Christian play depicting the origins of Jesus Christ.

At the end of the day, the animals would give thanks to the Great Kings of the Past for blessing the Pride Lands with prosperity and favor, and ask for it again in the new year.

I don't think the TLK characters would celebrate Christmas--while there are certainly vague Christian-esque overtones to parts of the franchise, nothing specifically Christian is ever identified. I doubt they would celebrate Jesus's birthday.

Now Winter Solstice, as a natural occurence, they most certainly would've been aware of. I can see them celebrating that, although it's also good to remember that in the Southern Hemisphere the seasons are reversed. My guess is it would be very hot, lol.

I like your idea. It seems more logical since the characters would celebrate a pagan holiday, and don't celebrate any religious holiday in the wild of any sort.
