The missing song in the theater verison.

Meh, I MUCH prefer the original scene. The Morning Report made it look so ridiculous, IMO... I like the song, but it only fits in the broadway musical, not in the movie... I would of prefer it if they had added songs like Endless Night or Shadowland instead. They would actually ADD something to the storyline instead of ruin a scene.

I think the original poster was talking about the fact that they cut Morning Report from the TLKoB *Broadway* show a couple of years ago. Just before the little girl that played Young Nala got sick I think it was, actually.

So yes, "Morning Report" is no long in TLK on Broadway.

I'm just not sure what there is to discuss about it :P

The production's had some rough times, it's a great show & I hope this doesn't all add up to the beginning of the end.

I did like The Morning Report, but I was not said to see it remover from the 2011 re-release, as the original scene does indeed work better.

Personally, I found Morning Report to be somewhat annoying and much prefer the original version of the scene. To me, adding it tipped the balance too far in the direction of light-hearted musical numbers in an otherwise serious movie since we already had IJCWTBK and Hakuna Matata.

I am so glad they didn't put this song on this new release.
I never liked it really, and the boy who voiced Simba for that scene didn't sound at all like Jonathan or Jason.

As mentioned before, they took a perfectly good scene, and added something that (in my opinion) really wasn't necessary to add.

Whenever I would watch the 2003 DVD I would always watch the original track, without the song.

With this 2011 edition, I won't have to worry about that anymore ^^

They removed "Morning Report" in THE BROADWAY PRODUCTION about 2 years ago.

*broken record*

I don't think they're talking about the movie, folks. They're talking about the fact that they axed it from the Broadway show.

I'm hoping it doesn't mean the show is in it's twilight.

Being that this thread is in the Lion King Movie section, I would think that the question posed is about the movie.

I love the morning report. Why was it not in the recent theater version?
