The Tale of King Moto the Mighty (For TheWhistlerify)

The two twin cubs danced around their mother's paws excitedly, while her older daughter just smiled and walked with her. Early that day Queen Kali told them she'd tell them the tale of how her mate, King Moto, became King.
"So, are you ready kids? It's a long story...". They all settle down and Kali began telling the tale of King Moto....

After King Busara the Wise is killed by an evil rouge male Damoja, and his two henchmen Kumo and Lumo, Prince Moto and some of his lioness friends are forced out of the Kingdom. While banished, they begin training to take the Riverside Pride's kingdom back, and to avenge King Busara's death.

It starts off on a calm summer's morning, King Busara is taking his son for a walk around the territory, and bumps into his death...

Moto smiled warmly at his father, who he respected to the highest of respect. He was about to go on patrol of the territory with him, something he liked doing as they could talk about Kingly duties,
"I'm ready when you are, I've told mother that we're going".

(( OOC: Yeah she can remain there so that one of Moto's friends experiences how cruel Damoja and his helpers are in whatever way you wish to show it. I figured that Lumo who stays after Damoja is defeated can fall in love with Marini or something so to answer that part in his profile which says that he's looking for a mate. ))

Busara smiled at his son's expression of eagerness and responsibility. To be honest he himself forgot to tell his mate that they'll be gone for the morning because of how eager his son was when they planned this "Good, then we can go now." With a gesture of his head and a smile, he began leading his son through the lands. As they walked he told him again of the circle of life and how the king performs his duties. While he already told Moto that information a lot of times already, his son was never tired of hearing it and so Busara never got tired of telling it.

Moto walked alongside his father, hanging on his every word, he took being the next King seriously, and he had the best King ever for a teacher. They soon came to the local waterhole. The lion scanned the area for danger before making him and his father known to the other animals by a low growl. They seemed to bow they're heads slightly before continuing to drink or eat. He seemed to know exactly what to do, he wanted to please his father.

"C'mon you two, get moving. We're nearly at the Pride's territory", Damoja growled at Lumo and Kumo. The older, muscular lion continued to walk, his muscular legs and paws in syncnoization. Lumo sighed and followed quickly. Damoja turned on him, "Was that a sigh!". Lumo shook his head nervously, and waited for the paw to cuff his ears, but it did not come. Damoja was too focused on getting his new Pride.

Busara took the opportunity of them by the waterhole to tell him about a drought that took place during his own cub-hood, while Moto's grandfather was the king. He told Moto of how his grandfather settled the reduction of water between the animals while taking everything into consideration; such as the amount of animals in the area, whether they had any young off-springs or pregnant females and etc.

Kumo did not do any move which might hint he was feeling any hint of protectiveness towards Lumo. His brother should learn to watch his mouth around Damoja, and if being beaten up by him was the way for him to learn then so be it. While Damoja was probably one of the more cruel and abusive lions out there, to Kumo he seemed like the best leader. Ever since Damoja forced him and Lumo to work for him, Kumo had been absolutely loyal to him.

[OOC: They come in after Busara is killed, and when Damoja goes to claim his Pride]

Moto listened carefully, in case this occured during his reign as King. He smiled,
"Your father sounded just as wise as you". He sat down for a moment, he noticed the wind was going in the direction that if anyone came behind them, they wouldn't notice, but who would?

Damoja had made it, it was the Riverside Pride's territory. He grinned evilly and smelt the air for a moment before turning to his two henchmen,
"Boys, listen up. The King of this Pride is not far away, he has another lion with him. Take down that lion but do not kill him. I will kill the king". Lumo nodded and held back a frown,
"Yes sir....".

Busara nodded, "Everything I know I've studied from him. I'm more than happy to pass everything he knew and did to you." he was so busy in their talk that he was also not paying too much attention to anything else.

Kumo nodded, "Yes sir, right away sir." he was curious about why they were to not kill the other lion, but he knew he would be better off if he did not ask. Beside, in his point of view, anything that Damoja decides on is what should be, without questioning. Damoja knew what he was doing.

Moto nodded back, unaware of the three forms slowly coming behind them...

With a loud roar, Damoja leapt from the ground and tackled Busara from the back. He knew it would be hard to get him in a good position for the kill, but it would be done. Moto's eyes widened, and then tried to get Damoja off his father, but then noticed Lumo approaching him. Lumo held back for a moment, and let Kumo make the first move.

Kumo, considering how much his brother hated working for Damoja, was already used to making the first moves whenever Damoja had them do something. He went ahead and pounced at Moto, intending to keep him occupied long enough for Damoja to kill the king. Busara meanwhile was taken completely by surprised. He tried to get Damoja off his back and at the same time tried to roll around to lie on his back so that he could have an easier time using his legs.

Lumo soon helped his brother, but not by a lot. He hated doing this, but felt he had to. Damoja had managed to get the king on his side, and not able to stand up. He held the King down. Surprisingly, Lumo was the one who took down Moto in the end, by giving him a swipe to the front legs, Kumo could then hold him down.

Damoja caught his breath and then smirked,
"King Busara the Wise, I'm about to kill you.....". Moto nearly shed a tear, but he managed to stay strong,
"Let my father go!". Damoja ignored Moto,
"You know pride law, when I kill you, I become King. But I'm not allowed to kill any heirs, so I'll just banish your son. Any last words to him?". He knew he had to do this properly, before he could become his true, evil self.

Kumo took the opportunity presented to him by his brother and pushed Moto off his feet. While with Damoja Kumo also inherited a lot of his cruelty, so for his own amusement he held Moto in a way he could not turn his head away from Damoja or Busara. Busara for whatever reason smiled, "My son already knows what he needs to know." while he kept teaching his son the same things over and over because of how much Moto liked it, but he knew that Moto was already well taught. "You however... There's room for work." he didn't care just how painful was his death about to be, as long as Moto would be safe he could die happy. Well, somewhat.
