Marini had no idea why Mufalfa thought that the cub should stay inside, but she was kind of wanting to get back to were they both were a moment ago so she said to the cub, "Yeah, you've been wasting too much energy recently." she glanced at Mufalfa briefly before picking her cub in her mouth and carrying him back into the den where she placed him down next to Gakuru. She said to him, "He's... Not sleeping enough lately... Could you make sure he stays here?" Gakuru nodded. Marini thanked him and left, heading back over to Mufalfa. She smiled at him rather nervously and said, "Uh... Sorry about that..."

Mufalfa said, "Uh no problem he's a good kid you know?" After he started to lick her again he then said, "What are you going to tell your son if he finds out about...this?" Suddenly while Mzuri was sleeping her father's voice said, "I'm going to take those cubs and eat them!" Mzuri yelled out, "NO!" She heard Dakari wake up and said, "I'm sorry Dakari I dreamed about my father..."

Marini smiled, "He'll be alright eventually." she returned the gesture by nuzzling his half-grown mane. Dakari held Mzuri close, nuzzling her, "He's dead Mzuri, don't worry." Gakuru was soon next to them, wondering about the reason for his sister's behavior. "Is everything alright?" he asked.

After a little while Mufalfa went over to her son and said, "Listen here squirt. You're going to call me dad from now on and your mother will forget your idiot father got it?" Mzuri sighed, "No our father keeps messing with me." Suddenly their father said to Gakuru, "No mate yet my son? See I told you that you were ugly."

The cub frowned, knowing exactly what was his own opinion about this. "You are not my father." he said with a growl. Gakuru ignored his father's voice and said to Mzuri. "He's just a voice. If you do not listen to it, then it is not even a voice."

Mufalfa laughed, 'Oh but I am and now we can be all one, big happy family without your real father hahaha."

The cub again growled, "Get lost." he actually extended his tiny claws and swiped at Mufalfa's leg, as if it might actually help him.

Mufalfa laughed as it just felt like little thorns at his feet. "Pathetic." However suddenly he again felt a lump in his stomach and said, "Is it so bad that I like your mother?"

The cub was a little surprised at that question. "You like her? It seems like you want to make my life miserable." he frowned, "Look just because you remind her of my father does not mean you can just toy around with her feelings and my and my sister's life."
