Vitani said, "Maybe, but I'll be with the hunting party, not on my own." she was still trying to figure out who was this threat Rafiki mentioned.

Kopa looked at her. "Still, we don't know what it is we're about to face. We must be ready for anything, even if it means that we have to fight," he said, wishing that the Pridelands would remain in peace.

Dotty growled at Kali once again. "I'm not joking, Kali. If you value your life, you will leave this instant! If you don't, I will inform the queen and she will tell the king," she said.

Vitani let out a depressed sigh. She thought that all the fighting has ended a long time ago once the Outlanders joined the Pridelanders. But unless Rafiki really lost his mind, she was probably wrong.

Kopa looked at her compassionately. "Don't worry, 'Tani. I'll do my best to protect you. No harm shall come to you," he stated.

Vitani smiled, looking into her mate's deep and caring eyes. "I know you will." she wasn't worried as long as she had Kopa by her side to be honest. Whenever she was around him she felt as if they could accomplish anything they'd ever want together.

Kopa nodded and gave her a nuzzle. "We will be careful, but we won't worry. To do so is to show the enemy our weakness," he said.

Frustrated, Dotty broke away from the talk and returned to Pride Rock. She found Vitani. "Vitani, I encountered a new male in the Pridelands. He is your father, the lover Zira took after Scar died," she said.

Vitani smiled, returning her mate's nuzzle with a purr. Just then, Dotty arrived, and the news in her mouth brought a look of horror onto Vitani's face. "My father?" she could remember him more than well, and not because he was her father. A cruel lion like him was not easy to forget.

Dotty nodded. "I think we should put everyone on alert, since he's already here in the Pridelands. For example, we should make a rule that no one leaves Pride Rock without a companion," she said.

It took Vitani a while to speak again because of the bad memories of her father that were flooding her mind. "Yeah, we can do that..." she looked at Kopa, hoping he had any idea on how to deal with this.
