If Kiara doesn't want to be queen, who will be Simba's heir?

Actually Nala is of royal blood. Mufasa being the only male in the pride is able to mate with all the females. I do believe that Mufasa is Nala's father as well, making her Simba's half-sister and making her an obvious choice to be betrothed to him.

Even if you don't believe the theory of Mufasa being Nala's father, there is still the other theory that Sarafina and Sarabi were sisters. We know for a fact that Sarabi's parents were royalty, and if Sarafina was her sister it makes her royal by default as well.

Nala is not of royal blood, and isn't Mufasa's daughter. Mufasa never acknowledged Nala as her daughter not one time in the movie. Also, if she was Mufasa's daughter, Scar would've killed her to usurp the throne because Nala would be Mufasa's blood heir to the throne same as Simba. But, the movie never mentions this, thus Nala is not Mufasa's daughter nor is Simba's half-sister.

Quit oozing your fan theories as facts. When during the movie, did it state Sarabi's parents were of royalty? Sarabi is only mufasa's queen consort, because she was obviously bethrothed to Mufasa.

There can still be a theory that Nala has royal blood. Let's go with the point you made about Scar not killing her. The only reason Scar would not kill a cub is if it's his own. So let's say Scar is Nala's father. Scar has royal blood, being Mufasa's brother, thusly if he was Nala's father she would be a princess as well.

I hate to burst your bubble Sillydog, but Nala doesn't have any royal blood in her. The Los Angeles Times reported back in 1994 that Nala was the "future queen"

This means she only becomes Queen once Simba married her. Cape Cod Online reported the exact same thing eleven years later when it wrote an article on the Broadway show.

Lol that's ok, my bubble hasn't been burst. They're only theories anyway. I'm just trying to think about it in realistic terms is all. I know a lot of people get kind of iffy when a person mentions "incest" in TLK, but if you think about it that's how it happens in lion prides in real life. IRL lions don't care if they're blood related, they mate with who they want

I've always assumed that The Lion King operated differently from real life lion prides.

It seems real world felines are consumed by lust: If they want to mate or eat, they will do it. No ifs, ands, or buts about it. Get in the way of their instincts and you get hurt. They almost seem to lack free will, because they are slaves to their hormones.

In the Lion King, love is more evident that lust: Mufasa saves Simba because he loves him, Simba returns to Pride Rock becomes he cares about his family, Nala tries to get Simba to return because she "feels the love tonight", etc. The world that Disney created is more human that animal. In that sense, Mufasa wouldn't just up and breed with any lioness spur of the moment, he would stay true to Sarabi.

I suppose that's a good point. It still doesn't answer the origins of Nala though. If Mufasa isn't her father, and neither is Scar, was she just spawned spontaneously? I doubt they would just let a rouge lion come and mate with Serafina, even if Mufasa was the nicest king ever.

Maybe he died. It wouldn't be the first time a parent died in a Disney movie.
I suspect that he is at Area 51, along with Belle's mother, Andy's dad, Jasmine's mom, Mulan's grandfather, and Kuzco's parents

I have no problem with fan theories; the LK universe is littered with unanswered questions that fans can have fun speculating. But, my comment was directed at Sillydog's statement that "Sarabi's parents are royalty", which he is claimed as a fact. However, Sarabi's parents nor their social status is never mentioned in the films at all, so therefore he is saying his theory is a confirmed fact.

I just wouldn't let him get away with that false statement without being challenged. That is all.
