Umeme shook her head. "Not at all," and sat down next to Muroki, who gratefully lay down next to her. "Tired?" She asked. He nodded. Umeme frowned a little. "Did the hunt go that roughly? Maybe we should do it instead of you guys. Maybe while you run, Lina and I can hunt if wee need to," she suggested, "That way you won't have to strain yourself just for the sake of spending a bit more time with me." She smiled though. "But I appreciate it."

Muroki couldn't help but chuckle, "You're talking as if the four of us started a pride of our own." he smiled, "Well, now that you've mentioned it, during the hunt I kind of got thrown on my back..." now that he was thinking about it, one of the reasons he wanted to lay down was because his back was starting to ache again. "It's nothing though..." he said, holding Umeme close and nuzzling her.

Umeme also chuckled at Muroki's statements. "And how many times did you talk to our neighbors?" She asked, "If you even know where they are?" She nodded smugly at him. "We are in effect our own pride."

But Umeme still allowed Muroki to lean into her. "Well, as long as you're fine, I'm alright with that," she told him softly.

Muroki smiled at the idea of just the four of them starting a small pride of their own, since it reminded a little of the way life was when he and Delano were still with their parents. He gently nuzzled her again and then placed his head on top of hers. "I doubt Kasi or his mother ever informed you, but back when our parents were alive it was just the four of us... Our parents, Delano and me."

Umeme looked at Muroki in surprise. "Really? Your family, all alone?" But then she smiled. "But that means that you are already used to living as we do." She let out a small laugh. "That's great!" She rubbed her head against his. "So where exactly did you live?" She asked, curious. "As in, why weren't you in a pride?"

Muroki smiled, enjoying the affection from Umeme. "Well, we were born there and just stayed there I guess." personally, even though he always wondered what it would be like to live in an actual pride, he never had a problem with the way they used to live. "It's almost a day's walk from here. Kasi's parents used to come visit us every once in a while." he said nothing else for a few moments before adding, "We had our own small den and a small waterhole next to it, both in the middle of the savannah. Delano and I spent most of our time just wondering around the large land, sometimes with and sometimes without our parents."

Umeme listened to Muroki, eager to learn more about him. "So you liked living all by yourselves?" She asked. "You didn't mind living outside of a pride?" But then she though of how the lions lived in this area. "But, were there any other lions that might help you? Or was it really just your family, and... no one else?" She was having some trouble grasping the concept of living truly alone.

Muroki thought for a moment, "Beside our aunt and uncle, we never saw anybody else." except for those few lions he and Delano saw when they were on the hill that day, but Muroki doubted he should mention them. "Beside, we weren't all alone... We had each other." he smiled, nuzzling her gently. "Well, I don't have my parents anymore, but I still have Delano." he paused for a moment, "And you."

Umeme felt herself turn red again. "Oh, well, no problem," she said softly, "but yes, you do have me. Just as I have you." She pressed her head deeper into his mane. Looking around, she enjoyed the view and how the leaves above them scattered the light and made the sky dance.

"I'm really glad that you found your way here," she finally said, "because it feels like you gave my life a whole new meaning."

Muroki again smiled, holding Umeme close, "Well, when we found our parents dead the first option that came to mind was to come here because of Kasi and his parents being our only family left and everything. At first it looked like I had nothing else to live for, but then I've met you." he nuzzled her once more, "Thank you."
