[Closed] Trials in the Pridelands

Then Regina got an idea. "How about I take the cubs and raise them myself? I can raise them to be loyal to you, Zira," she said.

Zira thought. "Well, I am getting rather old," she said. "Yes, that will work. Regina, you and Kiara will assist in raising the cubs." She turned to find Monstro.

Regina smiled wickedly. "When we enter the Pridelands, no joyful voice will be heard, no Pridelander will look to the sky with hope and the entire day will be cursed!" she exclaimed.

Zira chuckled. "Well-said, Regina," she said, and left the cave.

Meanwhile, Simba had explained himself and was now just laying there telling stories of his and Vitani's cubhood to his nieces as he waited for Nala to return. He looked into the wide eyes of the three female cubs. "So yes, your mom and Aunt Nala were always pouncing on me when we played," he said, wondering what they would think of that.

Nala's paw gently ran of Folle's belly as she tried to calm the lioness but she knew the pain of birth. Seeing a part of her cub Nala smiled, "Push Folle...Push! Your almost done!" she whispered with excitement giving a small wink to Vitani.

Mheetu walked to the edge of the den and his green eyes watched the sunset filled with concern, Zira.. was on the prowl once more. He turned his head to glance at the girls as they listened to Simba's every word, he smiled. Protecting Vitani and his family was his main concern, he stepped back into the den and curled around his daughters. His body heat transferring to them as the chilly wind found its way into the royal den. "Ya know kids, your mom use to tackle me down too." he added with a deep chuckle.

Saffy looked up at Simba with her big green eyes and she grinned widely, "Thats cuz girls are better..!" she giggled. Her ears twitched as her father spoke and she looked up at him, he was such a big lion in her eyes. He was her hero, "Mom pinned you! Sheesh daddy!" she muttered snuggling into his belly fur. Her eyes grew heavy and she let out a small yawn, "I don't want to sleep until the cub gets here.." she protested fighting the on coming slumber.

Ruby gave a small laugh at the girls and she rested her head on Kopa's shoulder, "It seems you're about to be a uncle.." she whispered softly. Ruby's amber eyes looked over at Simba before she spoke, "Are you going to pick Kiara's suitor?" she wondered.

Monstro was sitting high on a rock stump his own mustard yellow eyes peering at the blazing sunset. He was in deep thought as he gazed at Pride rock, a low growl slipped from his muzzle disapprovingly. He knew retrieving Pride rock was going to be harder then he thought, but with the rest of his group fully together. He planned on doing alot of damage, his tail twitched behind him silently as he thought. His left ear fell back at the soft kick of a rock and his head snapped around to gaze at Zira, he motioned for her to come closer. "Do you trust Kovu?" Monstro asked raising an eyebrow towards his mate.

Simba looked over at Ruby. "Well, not exactly. I'm going to send Zazu to visit the neighboring prides and see if they have an unmarried prince. However, Kiara gets to make the final choice. When she was a cub, I promised her that she would have the final decision," he said.

The cub squeaked as its face was exposed to the elements of the area. Wind, smell, touch. It was a exillerating experience, but the cub had yet to be fully born yet.

Meanwhile, Simba had sent out Zazu to find a new suitor for Kiara from among the surrounding prides. He then turned to Mheetu. "I'll need to tell Nala about this. Hopefully, she'll approve," he said.
