[Closed] Trials in the Pridelands

"Indeed." Zira said. She got to her feet and began to pace. "We will attack soon, when our backup is ready. Monstro is training them at this very moment. While you were gone, remember, we went to find the rogue pride that attacked my sister. The pride will come with us and assist in winning the battle, matching and even beating Simba's force."

Regina looked at her. "Your highness, we might also want to check if the pride has any allies in other prides that might pose a problem. If they do, they could destroy us," she said.

"Oh... yes." Zira growled. "Well, we need an element of surprise. If we're quick enough, they won't have time to call allies. I'll talk to Monstro to smooth out the details."
"So, for surprise," Kovu interjected, "We need a special day. They'll be occupied, and then we can attack!"

Regina laid down and got comfortable. "Yes, a special day, a day that they won't be expecting us. Are we going to kill every last one of them?" she said.

"Not Kiara. Everyone but Kiara. Right?"
"Yes, Kovu, everyone but the princess." Zira grinned mischievously. "This will be glorious!"

Regina was taken aback for a second. "You're even going to kill your own firstborn daughter?" she said to Zira.

Zira frowned. "That is a hard one. If we don't kill her, she'll rebel and probably get killed anyway. I think we may have to. But... the children we could change. Kill everyone but Kiara and the cubs," she amended.

Regina nodded, finally coming back to her senses. "Vitani is too indoctrinated in the Pridelander way of life. She'll be better off dead. As for Kiara, we need to convince her that joining us is in her best interest," she said.

"That'll be up to Kovu. Can you handle it, dear?"
"Of course, Mother. It doesn't take much to convince a Pridelander," he said, grinning.

Regina nodded. "The only trouble will be getting him back in there. I'm certain that Simba will be seeking out a new suitor for the princess soon," she said.
