^ that's a great quote! It's very true.
I've seen benign spirits, and even a few helpful ones.
And I've also seen really angry ones that would just love to harm someone.
If you dont mind I can explain exactly why the speed of light is in fact the maximum speed possible for any object to travel. So may I explain?
May I explain why it might not be?

Because, as far as I know, nobody here even has half of the mathematical knowledge to understand anything about tachyon theory.

I say no:

Ghosts are semi-transparent. This means that something emits light, and something else needs to be in the air to reflect the light, and thus producing an image.

In the natural world, there is no light source capable of emitting light at a high intensity to be visible in the air. It always needs a medium. - Rainbows need that thick, moist air, so that the light is visible because of water droplets suspended in the air.

Humans created an alternative - the LASER. - Yes, it is in fact an acronym.

Very powerful lasers are visible in the air because the impurities (dust and stuff) are enough to reflect a small portion of the laser, producing the visible beam. Research is being done to use many lasers to create a true 3D image that is projected into the air, but often they still need to be aided with things like fog to produce their image.

But one thing is in common with straight beam lasers and the new development projectors: They all need a very bright source. This source cannot move through walls, and if you look at it in the wrong angel, you will go blind. I don't recall ghosts making people go blind. Nor did they have projectors at their feet.

So no, I don't see any ghosts created by lasers. If some human wanted to create a ghost, the best we can do one is a flickering image of roughly 8 FPS, most likely colored green. Ghosts don't flicker at a low frame-rate, and they are white.

Don't exist.

I don't think ghosts have to look white or green or anything.
I think they just looks like us, but.. somehow you know or notice that it's not just a human, but a ghost instead.
However, in fact I think it doesn't make ANY sense that ghosts looks like humans.
I mean:
Imagine you believe in ghosts.
That would make us all have a soul/ghosts in our bodies.
But .. why would your ghosts looks like your body?

Yeah, I don't think so either.
They don't always just look like an actual human ya know... but when you do see a full bodied apparition you sure can be damn lucky.
Ghosts don't have to look like your body. They can manifest by changing the temperature, in orbs, simple mists, shadow figures and others of the kind.
Now, with all the devices we have created we can simply detect an unusual change in the electromagnetic field, backed up by some sort of EVP, or other evidence.
Your body is basically a chamber for your energy and spirit/ soul so... why wouldn't it look like you used to? You control that energy, no?

Most ghosts and spirits aren't even visible, anyway. Ghosts are just energy that was left behind when someone dies- they're sometimes visible, sure, but I think a lot of the "visual" elements of ghosts is what we perceive that they look like because of how the energy feels. Sort of like a hallucination- a stimulus that your brain subconsciously invented in order to give a "physical" appearance to the presence(s) that it has detected.

Tachyons are massless or negative-mass particles meaning that they are not bound to a maximumspeed such as photons are. Aslo a tachyon would travel through 4 dimensions instead of 3, the 4th being spacetime. Still Tachyons have never been proven to exist. Even though the existence of tachyons would not contradict the laws of physics, that doesn’t mean there is such a thing. If tachyons were to exist it would mean that the smaller the energy they have the faster they will travel, meaning that it's minimum speed will be c aka speed of light. that would suggest tachyons are capable of traveling back into time. Highly unlikely and never proven!
