That wouldn't have been Mufasa's final voice. It was probably just a draft. Still unnecessary, I think. It does sound terrible, and I don't know if I'd want to hear James Earl Jones sing xD

I'm soooo glad they kept this out of the movie. It's just way too cheerful and childish for Mufasa IMO. I like the final version of the scene much more because of its seriousness.

The song is actually kind of catchy, although I do agree that its rather unfitting for Mufasa. It's just too out of his "wise and serious" boundaries, since that's who he is. They did good in leaving it out.

Well, we must remember this was before James was probably cast, and I would have liked it. I've never heard Darth Vadar singing before!

I just thought it was horrible and completly out of character for Mufasa. So glad they didn't put it in the film.
