Dakoda, slightly confused at the lioness' sudden curiosity, figured that it wouldn't be of any harm if he just told her his name. "Dakoda." might as well have someone to spread his name and let everybody know not to mess with his pride. Surprising even himself, he went ahead and asked, "What's your name?"

Amy smiled,
"Dakoda is a nice name, reminds me of my little brother's name, his name is Koda". She continued walking with him, coming closer now seeing as he was willing to tell her his name.
"I'm Amy, former Princess turned rouge".

Dakoda looked at Amy at the corner of his eye the entire time. A few lionesses from the pride have already said to him that he had a nice name, but the way Amy said it looked like it was not just another attempt to flirt with a prince. Ignoring that one thought, he raised an eyebrow as he realized that she was a princess who left her pride. Why would a princess leave her pride, he had no idea. "What? Did you hit your head or something? You should be back with your pride and helping to protect it. And what prince or princess would just leave their pride to become a rogue?"

Amy chuckled,
"It's called living a life, what good is a life if your going to sit on your Royal Bum all day long commanding people and stuff, I'd rather go out and experience things. Anyway, my brother is going to be a better ruler than me". She chuckled again, replaying her words in her mind. She stretched out slightly and looked at Dakoda again, wondering what his reply would be to her comment.

Dakoda raised an eyebrow again as Amy made her reply. All of those terms of 'living a life' or anything related to that were very odd to him. "What? What could you possibly achieve by going out on your own beside risking getting killed and coming back with a chance to see that your pride was killed while you were away?" In his mind, with the way he was raised and trained, it was as if the entire world was a one big field of battle, he hadn't heard of fun or love or anything else close to that even as a cub.

Amy sighed and stopped for a moment, she then locked eyes with him,
"What do you expect to achieve by killing anyone who doesn't belong in your pride or you have a disagreement with? How will you expect to meet your mate doing that?".

Dakoda was still confused at what Amy was trying to tell him. "My father is the one who will choose my mate for me." obviously he and Amy were from two completely different worlds. "What do I expect by killing them? That way they can't hurt anyone, whether that someone is me or anyone from my pride. You either kill or you get killed around here. You can't trust anyone." Yet there he was with an outside lioness who he was supposed to kill upon sight.

Amy looked at Dakoda, mouth open in shock.
"You're....you're not allowed to choose your own mate?". She shook her head,
"Aren't you allowed to lead your own life? Do what you want to do? What if some of those you have been ordered to kill from other prides are innocent?".

Everything Amy was saying was completely the opposite of what Dakoda was taught during his entire life. "Well, the future king can't. Anybody else can just take whoever they want." as sexist as that sounded, it was true about his pride. "Do what I want to do with my life? There's nothing to do, the entire world's a war. I have a commitment to our pride." his mouth went shut when Amy suggested that some of those he had killed were actually innocent. "My father said that you either kill them, or they kill you." but there he was with Amy, and she was really nice despite her being a rogue. "Could you... Explain?" he noticed her giving him a rather confused look. "What do you mean by doing what I want with my life?"
