Plot ~

It's about a young lion named Dakoda, who is part of a strict pride. This strict pride trains it's cubs to kill and to protect, for it is at war with the other prides. Dakoda is one of the most cruel, evil young lions part of this pride and is still in training. A young rouge lioness named Amy (Amy had left her pride and was now searching for another or a mate to start there own) roams into the pride's territory.

Dakoda finds her and according to training, is meant to kill her. However, something about her stops him so instead, he just threatenes her. Amy, who had not drank in a while, requests that she could drink first. Surprisingly, he agrees and takes her to the waterhole.

They talk for a while, and Amy finds out about the war and his training. She talks about the freedom of a rouge. Dakoda considers for a while...and asks her if she'd meet him on the border tomorrow. She agrees.

However, someone was watching them, another young male named Comador, who was even worse than Dakoda on all terms. He evilly blackmails Dakoda. He threatens him but Dakoda ignores him and still meets Amy the next day. The two continue to do this and become friends, Amy starts to have feelings for Dakoda. Dakoda has feelings for her too but they are both too embarrassed to say so.

Amy one day, is fed up with Dakoda and his training, she confronts him and tells him that what he is doing to other pride's is wrong. He argues with her and tells her he never wants to see her again. He regrets it as soon as she leaves.

Comador however, tells the leader of the pride that Dakoda has been meeting up with Amy and the leader punishes Dakoda greatly (the leader being his father as well). Giving him a scar over his eye. Dakoda leaves the pride, trying to search for Amy. Will he find her? What happens when Comador searches for Amy aswell...but to kill her on request of the pride leader?

Dakoda was out, as usual, patrolling along the border of his pride's territory. All of his spare time was spent on either that or on training, and Dakoda took all of it more than just seriously. As the pride's future leader, he always did his best during his training, even if it meant pushing himself over the limits. Being trained to kill his entire life and born to a pride with a history of many wars and still in the middle of a war, he didn't even know about the life that existed out there - A life of peace, of love, of no worries. Just living, in other words.

Love was not a term Dakoda was very familiar with. He never received it from his parents and basically was unaware of it's existence. As for a mate, his father told him that lions mate in order to breed, nothing more, and that he would be the one to choose the future queen, not Dakoda himself. Dakoda, being unaware of love pr all the other aspect that a normal life consisted, never had any problems or objections.

Right now, it seemed to Dakoda like this was going to be just another regular day, until a noise reached his ears, making him look in the direction of a few bushes. Walking over, he looked between them and noticed a lioness. He growled after a moment, not recognizing her and realizing that she was not a part of their pride. His training had one clear order about outsiders - kill in order to protect the pride.

He was about to pounce at the lioness in order to attack her, but instead found himself still crouching behind the bushes, the growl in his throat growing weaker and eventually dying. He was confused. After all, he was trained for this his entire life and had done it many times before, either scaring the rogue or killing him / her if they actually fought back. But there he was, unable to get himself to attack a lioness who could possibly pose a threat in the future. Growling again as a result of frustration with himself, Dakoda emerged from within the bushes and walked straight up to the lioness. "You should go away." he said, still growling. "You don't belong here."

Amy had left her pride about 2 months ago, she in fact was a Princess of the Lakeside Pride, thankfully, that pride was nothing to do with the massive war going on here. She decided there must be plenty more adventures that life has to offer and left, her parents didn't mind though, it was her life and she should decide what to do with it.

Anyway, she had ventured into another pride's territory, she did this often, just to drink or maybe ask to join for a while. The young lioness walked towards a few bushes. Suddenly, she saw a male lion, telling her to go away. This lion was not only growling, he was bigger and definitely stronger.

Amy backed off a little and glared at him,
"I mean no harm...my name is Amy, I'm from the Lakeside Pride which is far away from here". She flicked her tail in nervousness and continued,
"I only wish to drink, and to be on my way...if that's ok with you...".

Dakoda listened to the lioness as she spoke. He heard of the Lakeside Pride a few times from his father. They were not a part of the war because they were more peace loving than his pride and, according to Dakoda's father, lived far away enough to not get on Dakoda's father's nerves. He had heard the 'I'm thirsty' or 'I'm hungry' part a few times, but even for those he was told to send away or attack if another refusal or request was made. However, he nodded at the lioness and said, "Alright, fine." he turned in the direction of the closest waterhole and gestured for her to follow him. "But after that you must be on your way, because if anybody else sees you you'll be a goner for sure."

Comador had just finished his daily training, he was older than the future leader of the pride, and often felt jealous. He walked away from the dead body of the elderly lioness from a different pride he had to kill. It didn't faze his mind, killing other lions, it was just part of being the best trained lion in the pride. The fact he was quite a sexist lion as well fueled his passion to kill.

"The only thing females are useful for are making more males", Comador thought to himself as he sat under a tree. His mother and father were pleased with their son but never gave him praise or affection for his own good. He groomed himself for a moment, most young females in the pride thought him quite handsome, and he took advantage of them alot.

He got up and began walking to the nearest waterhole, however, he heard talking. Comador crouched down, approaching the talking. When he saw who it was, his lips curled into a smirk. It was Dakoda, talking to a pretty female lioness he had never seen before. The lioness should be dead right now, but Comador had better things on his mind. If he could blackmail Dakoda, he could be seen as the strongest lion in the pride. He formed a plan in his head and began walking silently to the waterhole.

Amy smiled gratefully at this somewhat different lion. The fact he said she'd be a goner if another lion of this pride were to see her, made her think this was one of those prides her father once mention. A pride who's thirst for war was strong. She began to walk alongside this lion, she looked at him for a moment. He was very good looking, and he looked the same age as herself.
"If you don't mind me asking, who are you? And what pride is this?".

((The Pride's name is the Vita Pride, meaning Battle Pride))

Dakoda kept walking along, obviously not aware of the fact that Comador was now watching both of them. Comador, who was slightly older and more arrogant, caught the attention of most of the females of the pride and he had obviously taken things far with some of them. More than a few members of the pride could tell so just by looking at Comador or at a female he's been with.

Dakoda himself however, was in now way allowed to just give in to his temporary desires which came to him from time to time. Probably the smartest thing he was ever told by his father was that a leader could have only one mate, because he couldn't risk having more than one of them bear cubs. If a king had cubs from more than one mother then the discussion of which of his cubs would inherit him could tear the pride apart and cause a war within the pride, which was something no pride could risk.

He also couldn't just go ahead and mate with a single lioness , which is something he would have already done as a result of being a grown male. His father insisted that it was a tradition for the current king to choose the mate for his son. Dakoda, being the prince who always wanted to please his father, never complained of course.

Dakoda wasn't in much of a mood to chit-chat, but he answered the outside lioness anyways. "This is the Vita pride." he stated simply, "I'm the future leader." he knew that if anybody noticed them he would have no choice but to kill the lioness, something which he didn't want to do for whatever reason, but being unaware of Comador who was stalking them he doubted that was going to happen.

Amy eyes widened at the name of the pride, she backed away slightly. Her memory flashed back to a talk she had with her father when she was young...

"And you see Amy love...not all pride's are as peace giving and loving as us...", King Markimus's said softly to his daughter. Amy looked up to her father,
"But...Dad...why are other pride's like that? Why would they want to kill other lions for no reason?". Markimus sighed,
"I don't know sweety, but if you really want to leave when your older...watch out for the Vita Pride, I have heard bad things...awful things about some of there young lions...they even train them to kill, let alone let them kill...".

Amy came back to the real world and glanced at the lion. She shuffled slightly away from him, as soon as she had a drink, she definitely would leave. Hopefully the lion wouldn't notice her new nervousness now.

Dakoda, despite Amy's wishes, had his eyes fixed on her the entire time just in case she would suddenly decide to do something stupid. "I am not surprised. Many like you fear us, only that unlike you they come here despite the fact that they know it's our territory." he could tell that Amy wouldn't have come there if she had the slightest clue that the Vita Pride was living there. "You should leave as soon as possible."

Amy head went lopsided for moment, as she studied this lion. He looked like he meant business but there was something about him that had stopped him killing her on the spot. So she decided to persevere with him,
"So, may I know your name? And don't worry, I will leave, I've heard lots about this pride...".
