[Closed] Little Stranger (Taraji Chapter 1)

Feeling Rahina’s warm body against his own, Kopa started to relax little by little. Being next to his mate and having her soft fur against his own, it was always enough to chase away the worries of the day for him. Resting his head behind his mate’s, licking sensually behind her ear as his ears perked up to hear her speak of something, only to change her mind moments later. Assuming that his beloved lioness had something on her mind, but knowing that she wasn’t always the most open with her feelings, Kopa murmured quietly into her ear as his fore legs gently cradled his one and only love in life.

”Something wrong Hina? You know you can talk to me about anything my precious. If you’re worried about us staying here, we don’t have to. We can leave anytime you want to. If you’re worried about us being accepted into this pride, I don’t think you have to worry about that either Hina. Everyone we’ve met seems pretty friendly and open to new faces so I think it’s just a matter of time before we find our place here, assuming you want to stay of course my precious.”

Having no clue of his mate’s true worries, Kopa stayed quiet, allowing his mate to speak her mind if she wished, but not expecting her to open up completely, as was her typical nature. The best thing he could do in this situation was just be patient and to continue to let her know that he was, and always would be there for her. In Kopa’s mind, actions always spoke louder than words and while he waited for a reply from his beloved lioness, Kopa’s paws gently massaged Rahina in her favorite spots as his tongue gently licked over his mate’s sensitive neck fur.

Rahina hurried up to answer Kopa. Maybe a bit to fast. "Nothing is wrong. Staying here should be the best at the moment...." Rahina left the reason open. Her soft voice faded away into a loud purr. She snuggled her head against Kopa's and her back against his belly. She was happy about being near him at this very moment. Soon she would tell him, or not? Soon...

Smiling warmly at his mate as he figured that this was the only thing on her mind, Kopa nodded as he rested calmly next to her, holding her close as he closed his eyes, speaking in a hushed tone to her.

”Of course my precious. If that’s what you want, than that’s what we shall do.”

Feeling sleep coming over him now and seeing that night had completely blanketed over The Pride Lands outside, Kopa figured that it was time for them to turn in anyways. Giving his precious mate one last gentle nuzzle and lick over her adorable cheek, Kopa settled in for the night, whispering softly to his beloved mate before he fell fast asleep.

”Let’s get some rest Hina. Maybe we can go exploring tomorrow, to get to know these lands a bit better. Good night my precious. I love you so much and may you have the sweetest dreams ever.”

Purring contently, Kopa allowed himself to drift off to sleep, keeping his precious lioness wrapped safely in his caring arms as he slept the night away.

"Good night darling!" Rahina stayed awake for some because she was thinking about all the new developments. She had to tell Kopa soon or else he would eventually find out himself...

Rahina finally closed her eyes. Due she noticed that Kopa was sound asleep she perked her ears up and doze off in a light sleep. She took the guard duty for this day. Whatever would come near the den would not come unnoticed by Rahina. She still was not used to the life in a pride and also she did not trust all of them completely.

Kivuli had gotten a good sleep. He was up before dawn, stetching his body out. He wondered out the cave to the waterhole for a drink. The last of the moonlight was shimmering off the water as he drank. After quenching his thirt Kivuli was about to head back when two young lions caught his eye inside a cave. Being curious he walked over to look inside. It wa Kopa, who Kivuli had met the night before, and by the looks of things his mate as well. Not wanting to disturb the couple, Kivuli began to wander bak to his den

The three lions traveled through the night. They occasionally passed the time in conversations that Vitani and Kovu considered idle, but that Shani was carefully steering to interesting points about life in the pridelands. He tried to commit everything to memory, and did his best to put the tidbits together to form a complete picture. His injury had long ago stopped bleeding, leaving behind just a thin line of bloodstained fur to show that it had ever happened. Unfortunately Vitani's bruised paw was not faring so well. Though she never slowed down or complained Kovu could feel that she was steadily leaning more heavily on his supporting shoulder.

It was a great relief to the brother and sister when they reached the pridelands just as a pink glow began to tease the horizon. Few creatures were stirring so early in the morning, and the group reached Pride Rock without incident. There Kovu paused, wondering whether or not to wake Simba so early. Vitani prodded him on, saying that surely Simba would rather be awakened than sleep late and discover that he had an injury and a strange lion on his hands. Reluctantly Kovu had to agree, and together they lead Shani up Pride Rock and to the mouth of the den just as the sun broke, flooding the pridelands again with a golden light.

"Simba?" Kovu called softly into the depths of the den, then decided to move in - asking Shani to wait outside - and wake the king personally rather than jolt the rest of the pride out of their sleep. Finding Simba, Kovu finally helped Vitani to the ground, where she lay, thoroughly worn out from the journey. Kovu then proceeded to gently nudge Simba, so he could begin telling the king about his eventful trip beyond the borders of the pridelands.

Having had a full belly and most of his worries subsided for the time being, Simba had slept rather peacefully within the warmth of the main den, his mate laying close to him as he dreamt of times passed. If it was up to Simba himself, he would have remained asleep long after the sunrise had passed however, things seemed as though they would take a different turn as he was politely roused by a familiar voice and a gentle nudge, coaxing him awake. Blinking as sleeps grip started to loosen upon him, Simba’s eyes locked upon that of Kovu, who seemed to be standing above him. Looking a bit worried already, knowing that most of his pride members knew better than to wake him early unless something important was afoot, Simba spoke in a tired tone as he did his best to wake himself up.

”Kovu? Is there something wrong?”

Turning his head, Simba caught sight of Vitani now, who was laying not too far off from where he himself was. Noting her poor looking condition and the way her paws were, Simba forced himself awake as he waited for a reply from his son-in-law, not wanting to jump to any conclusions with what might have happened to Vitani.

Being on guard Rahina raised her head as Kivuli closed in to the den. She observed the stranger with an keen eye but as he left the den directly she did not talk to him. She put her head on Kopa's paws that were entangled around her and snuggled against him once more.

Daxis purred softly while he was asleep and leicked Lainis foreleg. He had a very well sleep. The red maned cub rolled around a few times and finally he layed on his back. Daxis dreamed and moved his legs as if he would run in long grass.

Laini's light sleep was disturbed a lot due to the sleeping behaviour of Daxis but she just licked over his head and put her head on him again to continue sleeping. At the end he pedled in the air and Laini just looked at him smiling and waited for him to stop.
