The walk back seemed to take much longer than when they were leaving, but eventually, they reached a point where Delano saw that they were finally getting close. "Muroki, look!" He said, grinning and pointing with a paw. "We're almost back!"

With the revelation that they were close, he had forgotten all his doubts, and they were instead replaced with an intense eagerness to quickly finish that last bit of walking and get it over with. And get started with their lives again.

Muroki smiled as Delano informed him that they were close, having not noticed himself because he was busy with his own thoughts. "Finally." he said, letting out a sigh. He doubted the trainer was expecting them to succeed, that is if he was expecting them to ever come back. "And the trainer said we couldn't do it." he chuckled, "We might even be the first ones to return."

Delano smiled. "Yeah, finishing first would be nice." He answered. After nearly being forced out of the training, he found it fitting that they would finish strong. Even better if they would be one of the first, if not the first. He quickened his pace, but slowed won again when he determined it to be useless. As much as he wanted to finish, there was no point in rushing.

"You know, it was surprisingly easy, this last task," He said. "For the most part, there weren't any problems."

Muroki smiled at his brother, "That's because we stuck together. You were right, they probably didn't consider the possibility of one lion teaming up with another." if he hadn't teamed up with Delano, who knew where would they both be right now? Probably still wondering around those hills and no where near finding the rocks. "I bet the trainer would be more than surprised to see us."

"I like the sound of that," Delano replied. "Bet he'll want to know how we did it." He frowned as an idea formed in his head. "I hope he won't consider it as cheating... I don't see how he can, but I won't be as naive to think that he'll try something like that."

Delano fell silent as he thought about it, walking along next to Muroki. "Might even be better if we say that we worked individually," he said, "He will most likely figure out that we didn't, but he won't have any proof." He sighed. "Or we can just tell him outright that we worked together. It's not like we won't leave right away anyways."

Muroki shook his head, "I doubt he'll consider it cheating. We brought two rocks like he said, and he never told us how to do it. Beside, it's not like that if we ended up on duty for those guys that they'll get upset if two lions worked together to catch some bad guy instead of working on their own, but the other way around. If the two or more will work together they will bring back better results."

Delano shrugged. "Yeah, well, he might try." Soon enough, the two brothers were once again inside the familiar lands and across the border. Delano grinned again at the prospect of finishing the training. "Alright, let's get over to the trainer, and end this thing." He told Muroki.

They hurried over to the training grounds, but they were empty. Delano wasn't too surprised. "Maybe he's in the cave system." He suggested. If the trainer wasn't here, than he had to be at the caves.

Delano turned to their direction, and spotted Muroki looking off into the distance, where Kasi and the lionesses would be. He prodded his brother. "We'll be done soon enough. Then we'll be able to go there." He said. "Come on, Muroki."

Muroki nodded, "Yeah, he probably isn't expecting anyone to be back any time soon." he said, following his brother as they both headed towards the cave system. Despite how urging it would be, Muroki would try to stay polite and not be too sassy about how the trainer was wrong about them needing to drop out. "I wonder if he'll do anything with those rocks..."

Delano didn't know exactly what the rocks were used for. "Well, there's only one way to find out," he replied, "come on, let's go." Together, they walked down to the caves and went inside.

Once inside, Delano stopped. During the training, the trainer either the trainer was with them, or he would disappear somewhere. And because the trainer wasn't with them, Delano realized that he had no clue where to find him. "Hmm... Where can we find the trainer?" Delano asked Muroki, knowing that it was rather pointless.

Muroki sighed as he could not see the trainer anywhere. "I don't know." it seemed like their best option would be to wait at the starting hill until he showed up, but that was no good since the two brothers wanted to get done with the training already. But on the other paw, there was literally no way for them to figure out where the trainer was. "Looks like we'll have to wait on the hill until he decides to check if anyone came back."
