Delano felt the gazelle stop thrashing beneath him. He cautiously let go of it, but id didn't run. When he was certain that Muroki had managed to kill the gazelle, Delano allowed himself to grin from the successful hunt. "We did it!" He looked down, not really able to believe that they had succeeded in their first hunt in a while. "We got the gazelle!" He breathed out in disbelief.

He reached down and picked up the gazelle with his teeth. "Right, we now need to move this somewhere," he said through the animal, his voice muffled. "Just tell me where to put this."

Muroki smiled, "This could be related to the fact that this is the first time we worked together on a hunt." he felt bad for not realizing how good he and Delano were together. Too bad they hadn't realized it before beginning the training. "Hmm... We need to put it somewhere where no one will touch it." after all, they hunted so to not waste time in the morning, and if anybody took it it would be as if they've done nothing. "How about one of those small dens around here? We can put it there and stay there until the evening, eat as much as we need and then head back to the complex for rest. I doubt anyone will enter the cave at night since the pride stays at the usual main den and all of the trainees will have to sleep in the complex. When we we wake up we'll pass there and eat before starting the final course."

Delano nodded and bean to drag their kill away. But eventually, dragging it became too hard, and Delano stopped for a moment. "Can you help out?" He asked when he set the kill down to rest his jaws. Granted, he didn't ask Muroki for help initially in dragging the kill away, but now he wished that he had. This made him think of what Muroki had said about how things are easier for the two of them combined.

"You know, I don't think that this was made for two lions working together," Delano commented, "Because the trainer always tried to pry us apart. So I have to wonder how hard this last task will really be for the two of us." He reached down and picked up the kill again. "Can you pick up the other end?" He asked. If they both carried the kill instead of just one of them, it won't drag on the ground.

Muroki nodded, "Yeah, of course." he went over to the carcass while thinking about what Delano said just a few moments ago. "Well, obviously it will be easier if we work together." he took the other side of the kill in his mouth but then dropped it, "Correct me if I'm mistaken, but wont it be easier if we both placed it on our backs instead?" as he placed his side of the kill on his black he again thought about what they were going to do in the upcoming three days. It was be impossible for him to describe how relieved he was that he and Delano were going to work together.

Even with the gazelle forcing his mouth shut, Delano laughed. "You're right." He set down the gazelle and then reached out and propped it on his back. Next to him, Muroki did the same with his end. Together, they were able to carry the kill over to the empty dens and put it in one of them. Delano grinned once they placed the kill away. "Yeah, this was much easier than with just one of us."

If anything, carrying the gazelle proved what the difference between the two of them versus just one of them working alone was: together, they were more than just the two of them combined. "Tomorrow's going to be great!" Delano said. Maybe a bit early, but he felt extremely confident about being able to pass the challenge. With Muroki, the two of them will be able to stomp over anything the trainer can send their way.

Muroki couldn't help but chuckle at his brother's enthusiasm, even though he had no idea what to expect tomorrow. "I wouldn't say great now, but obviously better than what would have originally happened if each of us went on his own." it's not that Muroki wasn't feeling confident, he was very confident about having Delano with him, but he believed that they shouldn't get too confident about themselves. "We should bring back two rocks now that I think about it, so the trainer wont be able to use it as an excuse to not allow one of us to pass."

Delano stopped in his tracks. "Yeah, we will need to bring back two rocks," he agreed. "But with the two of us, we will be able to search faster once we get to the appropriate hill." He smiled. "Relax, we're going to beat this thing, and then we'll finally be able to go back!" But despite his eagerness to go and do something, he forced himself to sit down.

"Guess we should conserve our strength though," he added. "Will ruin the entire thing if we get tired today for no apparent reason." Comparing to his excitement just moments before, Delano was now much more calm and passive. For a long time he simply sat in the den, thinking.

"What do you think Kasi will be like once we come back?" He asked. "Or what about Lina and Umeme?" This time he made sure to remember their names. "When we'll return, it'll be quite a shock again, won't it?"

Nodding, Muroki also sat down, deciding that they should most likely be sitting if they wanted to conserve energy. He chuckled when his brother asked for his opinion about what Kasi's reaction would be like. "I think seeing us in one piece will be the greatest shock in his life." He became slightly nervous at the mention of Umeme, but hoped it wasn't too noticeable. "Uh... They'll probably wonder where we've been to. I mean, if they cared that much..." he was saying that for no purpose in particular, because he couldn't tell what exactly the two lionesses were doing now that he and Delano were gone.

Delano hadn't thought of the last question. "What should we tell them?" He asked. "I mean, what should we tell them about where we were?" He didn't know if the lionesses would approve of where they had gone off to or not. And would it help to say that they decided against the original plan anyways? He feared that they would not approve of their decision to try and go on a revenge spree. Kasi didn't exactly approve, but what about the lionesses? How would they take it?

For some reason, Delano then felt really nervous. Almost to the point of dreading having to return to Kasi. "Yeah, they'll be glad to see us again," he said, trying to convince himself.

Muroki thought, "If we do they'll react like Kasi; call us crazy. But we should also mention that we decided to back off from what we originally planned." after a few moments of silence, he noticed that Delano appeared to be very nervous, "Is something wrong?" a moment ago they were talking about the course, a thing which Muroki could understand someone if they became nervous about. But now they were talking about going back, something which they will both rather do than stay where they were any longer, and Muroki couldn't figure out the reason for his brother to look so nervous all of a sudden.
