Simba observed the scenery from above, watching Kivuli advance after Kovu who was slowly making his way back towards Pride Rock. Everything seemed to be a blur the next minute as both lions were entangled in a fierce battle. Thoroughly keeping a close eye on Kivuli, Simba wasn't entirely sure if he should go down there and help, seeing how Kovu was getting the upper paw on their struggle against one another. Eventually, Kivuli managed to sustain a deep wound over one of Kovu's fore paws. Gasping in horror, Simba immediately propelled himself in the direction where Kivuli and Kovu were ripping each others throats. By the time he got there, the king noticed that Kovu was limping towards him and mentioning a few words about Kivuli planning on to do something. Hearing this, Simba was about to speak up until Kovu fell over onto his side unconscious. Troubled by those words, the king once more glanced over to Kivuli and curiously asked him.
"Kivuli, what did Kovu mean by you planning on doing something? If there's anything you're hiding that I'm not aware of, you better tell me now. Are you planning something?" Simba's voice trailed in a constrain matter. He allowed Kivuli a chance to redeem himself and Simba wasn't hoping that this lion had something planned up his paw. Either way, he'll know for sure if Kivuli is honest or not. Deep down, the king still had a lot of trust in Kivuli.
In the Outlands, Sirom, Sykara, Huyani and Manyota were still near the boundaries that separated the Outlands and Pridelands. Sirom was still positioned by the den's entrance of Manyota's and waited patiently for a few minutes, only to hear a soft, disconsolate voice coming deep within the dark cave. Sirom's fuzzy brown ears perked up as his innocent eyes caught a glimpse of Manyota making her way out of the den. The young lion slowly backed himself away, allowing some space between him and the downhearted lioness. In a moments time, Sirom was caught off guard by a sudden embrace from Manyota, feeling her furry body pressing up against his own. He wasn't sure what to say or do at this point as he returned the friendly hug. Feeling a sense that she was getting better, Sirom's innocent brown eyes caught a small motion from Sykara, who wasn't too far from where they were. He almost forgot that they were suppose to be leaving for the Pride Lands soon. Getting more serious, the young lion nodded in response to Sykara's proposition and looked back to Manyota before speaking up.
"I'm glad you're feeling a little better, Manyota, but we can't wait here any longer. All of us need to go off to the Pride Lands soon before it get's way too dark. This may seem like a sudden rush and I know you're going through a lot. I just feel that we better get moving soon." He said softly in a caring tone, slowly turning around and advancing over to where Sykara and Huyani were situated. Sirom was starting to feel more connected to his fellow companions, having a strong bond with them to some degree. He soon came to a small stop near Sykara and smiled.
"Okay, we're getting ready now Sykara. I have a good idea how we can do this when we reach the Pride Lands. I want you to stay close to me, seeing how you're more experienced in hunting and you're more capable of sneaking around than most of us." Sirom's caring voice came out once more as he looked over to Huyani and pasted a friendly smile in her direction.
"I know we barley met, Huyani and I was wondering if you can be our lookout scout. Pretty much what I mean by this, before we head on in into the Pride Lands, you're going to position yourself on high ground and count how many Pridelanders you see. After that, you will report to us on your founding. Does that seem okay with everyone?" Sirom finished and glanced over to everyone, getting ready to head off to the Pride Lands and hoping for the best. He didn't explain a task for Manyota, seeing how she needed time to compose herself.
