She smiled softly and gazed right back into his. "Am I the only lioness you're going to charm like this now?" She asked, wiggling her eyebrows as he had to her when they'd first me.

Hakara nodded. "Of course, Vitani. Why would I even think of seeing another lioness?" he said.

[Applejack]

She shrugged. "Just call it the fear of a lioness who'se never had anyone love her before," she said softly. "Sorry, Hakara. I trust you with my life. Its just.. I dont know, a deep, inner fear I guess. I'm sure that you've proved yourself beyond it already. I know you have." She shook her head. "I've ruined the moment, havn't I?"

Hakara placed a paw on hers. "Take it from me. I will never leave you or hurt you," he stated.

Nodding, Vitani looked up at Hakara. She eased herself down to a sitting position and slid her head under his, nuzzling his throat softly, purring. "I will never desert or hurt you either, Hakara. After all, you are my heart."

Hakara smiled. "And now, love of my life, allow me to tell you something else, something that may help you when you feel down. Remember these words: breathe deep, seek peace," he said.

Vitani smiled as well, looking into Hakara's eyes, and sighed softly. She closed her eyes for a moment and too a deep breath, and then opened her eyes, staring into his golden eyes. "I may speak my mind, no matter what, when I am with you, right, my love?"

Hakara nodded. "Of course you may," he replied.

She smiled and nuzzled him once again before leaning up a little closer. "I've been at peace, you know," she said softly. "I'm just a difficult lioness. You are my peace, dear Hakara."

Hakara smiled. "Excellent, my love, most excellent. You are well on your way to being completely healed of your past," he stated.
