[Open] Enemy From Within

((Ok I can hardly keep my eyes opened so this will be my last post for the night))

Jasmine nuzzled her mate "we have two sons, who would have ever thought" she told her mate as she again looked down at the small cubs

Kopa wriggled into his mothers chest fur and again settled down to sleep, Nuka on the other hand lay purring to himself as he slept a little further from his mother

Kiara made her way out of the den to give Kovu and Jasmine some privacy with their new sons, she lay next to Haij outside of the den and nuzzled him, she lay close to him without saying a word and fell into a deep sleep

Haij looked at Kiara, perking a brow and nuzzling her. With a soft whisper into her ear, he said one thing that he thinks he might regret. "I love you," he said very quietly.

[Applejack]

(Very emotionally distressed Vitani enters now.)

Vitani, after quite a few hours, pulled herself to her paws and walked out of the den. She glimpsed Jasmine, the cubs, and Kovu. Two males, one independant, one mothers' boy. She sighed and stepped forward. Her muzzle was stained dark with tears, obvious that she'd been crying for quite a while. Slowly, she padded up to them and sat down, her head bowed. Her voice was soft and broken as she spoke. "K..Kovu, Jasmine... congratulations," she said. "What.. what are their names?"

Haij was sleeping beside Kiara, purring softly in his sleep. He smiled slightly in his sleep and liked it that she was next to her.

Kovu looked at Vitani. "Their names are Kopa and Nuka," he said. He then looked at his sons. "Do you want to meet your Aunt Vitani?" he asked in a playful tone.

[Applejack]

Vitani's eyes flew wide. "N..Nuka... and Kopa?" She took a step back, shaking. "I thought I'd never hear that name again... not after mother... after how I felt for him... after... and Nuka..." She advanced on Kovu, her ears flat. "What have you done?!" She exclaimed. "Why?!"

Kovu took a step back. "Vitani, I didn't do anything. It was Jasmine who thought of the names," he stated.

[Applejack]

"After all mother did to the two of them, you couldn't let their names rest?! Kopa is dead because of mother! I.." She looked away, tears flowing freely from her eyes again. "I loved him!" She exclaimed. "I loved Kopa, and mother killed him! I loved Nuka! He was my brother, our brother! She let him die!" She stepped forward, then back, as though she was confused about what to do or say. "How can I look at them and not see their dead faces?!"

Kovu was shocked. "Vitani, we were just trying to honor them. We didn't think it would cause problems!" he stated.

[Applejack]

"Well, did you think abuot how some of us might feel?!" She turned around, her face dark. "Nuka and Kopa, great kings. They have my blessing," she spat. Quickly she dashed off without looking back, tears streaming quickly from her eyes. She tore off of pride rock and kept going until she reached a small hill that overlooked the gorge. Sobbing, she let herself fall to her stomach, shaking heavily. "How could he do this to me?!"
