Kovu continued to speak. "Jasmine, I love you with all my heart. You were the one who showed me love for the first time. I mean, when I was growing up, Mother never even gave me a lick. She would just yell at me whenever I would get hurt," he said.

Jasmine knew that Kovu's past was hard, and that Zira was a cold and heartless lioness who should never been aloud to raise cubs, all she knew is that she would never be like that towards her cubs, she nuzzled her mate "I know life has been hard for you, we will just have to make sure our future is a good one and we raise our cubs with love" she told her mate with an affectionate look in her eyes

Kovu smiled. "Yes. By the way, now that you're pregnant, I don't want you hunting or anything dangerous like that for awhile," he stated.

Vitani heaved herself to her paws with a sigh. "Better go hunt, I guess," she grunted, and padded out of the den she'd been resting in. Her tail flicking to and fro slowly, she leapt from Pride Rock and took of at a sprint, heading towards the grasslands. She was following a promising scent of Antelope. "One good thing about these Pride Lands," she said softly. "Theres always plenty of food around!" She grinnd as she spotted a small herd of antelope and dropped to the ground near instantly in her hunters crouch. If I'm lucky, I should be able to tag atleast two antelope, she thought to herself. With a grin on her face, she crept closer to the antelope, waiting for the right moment to strike.

Jasmine frowned, hunting was the only thing that gave her time to blow off steam "well we can't expect Vitani to do it all on her own, I know Kiara is a bit of a cluts but she will have to join the hunting party" she told her mate

Kovu looked at her sternly. "It's for your own good, Jasmine. I don't want you or the cubs to get hurt," he said. Meanwhile, out in the Pridelands, a newcomer was lurking. He was a young male lion named Haraka, and he was looking for a new place to settle down in. "Perhaps I'll find one here," he said, unaware of the lioness he was about to disturb.

Vitani grinned. Perfect. The winds had shifted, and she was clear to engage. Suddenly, her head cocked back. An unfamiliar scent crossed her nostrils. She took a deep breath. Enemy lion, she registered. She turned her head briefly, and, unable to scent the lion, growled in frustration. The antelope too smelled it, and their heads shot up. Suddenly the herd dashed away quicker than she herself could run. She hissed in anger and turned around towards the direction the scent was coming from. "Show yourself!" She exclaimed. "You who would ruin my hunt, you damned intruder, show yourself!"

Hakara emerged from the grass and laid his eyes on the golden-furred, blue-eyed lioness, "Hello there," he said, winking flirtatiously as he spoke.
