I think Nuka definitely had the worst life. All the others that you mentioned had major obstacles in their life, but at least they're happy now. We can't say the same for Nuka. All he wanted was for Zira to pay attention to him. He lived his short life trying to please her, then died from it. Sad, just sad.

I would say Sarabi in TLK1 and Nuka/Vitani TLK2. I say Vitani because like Nuka, I don't think she would of received enough attention from her mother, and probably undergone a hard childhood as well, but Nuka wins.

Nuka's had, by far, the worst life IMO. It's not something that just lasts in his cubhood, either - it goes on throughout his life, ultimately until his death. He's had a difficult life and, however much of a humorous character he's made to be, he's always simply wanting to get love from his mother. He's not evil, or bad, he just wants to make his mother proud. I can relate to that - after all, don't most of us want to make our parents proud? And unfortunately, some of us do not achieve that, as it is in Nuka's case. Nuka suffers hardships and gathers no compassion from his mother until his death. By that time, it's obviously far too late for her to change things around. Nuka hasn't really done anything wrong whatsoever, he just, as I've expressed, wants love and attention. It's not fun to be consistently ignored and never recognized for your achievements. To always be viewed as a failure by the people you love the most.

Sarabi lost both her mate and her son in one day and endured Scar's reign with dignity, as others have said. Still, I don't view her life as the worst - after all, she gets her son back and lives peacefully in the Pridelands. From what I can tell, she's suffered like pretty much everyone in life, and has endured and ended up because of her own strength. Very admirable, that.

Simba's reasons are obvious, and I suppose a tad like Sarabi's. Still, I think he did suffer a lot, and it's definitely not fair to just kind of dismiss what he went through at his early age.

I also agree that Scar had a pretty tough life, presumably, probably much like Nuka's. But this information comes mostly from comics, resources and other things, so who really knows?

Oops, I forgot to add: Nala is, to me, VERY strong and though probably affected unpleasantly (naturally) from the events that went on, Nala is much like Sarabi in that she readily endures every second of it. I love that. I also think that saying that Nala didn't have a father figure was what made her life the worst is positively ridiculous (not to insult anyone!). Plenty of people grow up without fathers (it's different in Simba's case because he thinks he murdered him, I suppose) and are absolutely fine. Nala likely never knew her father, so what was there to really miss or long for? She grew up surrounded by great lionesses and Mufasa and the like, had friends and (presumably) a fantastic mom. I think that she really is happy for it.

Definitely Nuka. For second worst, I'd say either Simba or Scar.

While Simba definitely had it the worst from his late childhood to early adulthood, in the end everything worked out for him. He might have had the worst life, but he had the best life too. I can't even imagine how good it would feel to walk up pride rock in the end, having defeated Scar and his hyenas. I get the chills just thinking about it.

In the end, Nuka and Scar had it the worst. They died without accomplishing anything.

In my opinion I think Nuka had the worst life. While yes I agree that it must have been horrible for Simba to lose his father at such a young age. At least he found some friends and grew up in a safe and fun jungle with no responsabilties or worries. All Nuka wanted was some attention from his mother and I can relate to him. Me being the eldest and always feeling that I come in second to my younger sibling. I know what it must have been like for Nuka. It's really upsetting and the only time he really got any attention was when he was dying?! I always feel so sorry for him.
