It is not even just the webmaster who knows though that is the scary part, and given that anonymous have their own sites away from 4chan its no surprise they get caught eventually, but why call themselves anonymous if they know there is no such thing as 100% anonymity? =/

Drawn-out conversations/opinions about Anonymous aside, the OP did also ask why these folks and many more are currently on Wall Street. Without going too much into detail, the protest itself is called Occupy Wall Street. It is not made up of merely Anonymous members, though many Anons have obviously joined the cause. It is a gathering to protest corporate greed, mainly, and all that comes from it. It's in response to the most recent economic troubles both the USA and the world has been experiencing, though the former is the main focus. It's noted for bringing together people of all walks of life and factions, so certainly don't think for a second that this is one group heading this up, unless you're referring to the OWS faction as a whole. The goal is namely accountability, though many different people and groups have their own purposes.

Just wanted to make sure no one had the idea of this protest as some silly Anon protest about nothing, at least without knowing specifically why the protest was called at first. It was originally set into motion by a Canadian organization known as Adbusters.

Anonymous is an extremely powerful organisation, nobody is a member of anonymous and everybody is a member of anonymous. You can not destroy this organisation because there is no leader nor are there any members. they are millions of random people. they attack websites with a simple MSDOS-attack which no internet server has protection against, everyone attacked stands helpless.

I really support these people, the USA is a complete mess. they are investing money in wars and they are helping other countries when they can't even take care of their own people! people do live in poverty in the usa and these are just regular people who lost their job, there are no strickt rules you must apply to fire someone. you can just do it. there aren't even any insurences provided by the government ''nonono, let's throw the money in the bottemless pit called: war in Afghanistan. no way we are helping our own country'' AKA the american government.
