Name Meaning: Heir [As in to the throne]

Personality: Sly, seductive and a smooth talker. He has all the makings of a contemplative serpent, in a lion form. Everything from the way he curls his words and his body language could persuade a zebra he was a swallow. He holds his composure quite well, and rarely shows his anger, or sadness. He tends to linger around lesser beings due to his insecurity of being inferior to everyone and being shunned by his father [sound familiar, huh?]. He doesn't see diplomacy as a method of resolving problems, ironically.
Appearance: Gray fur with a nice and well kept black mane. His under billy and chin are a pale white, and it grows into a goatee. He has a slender build all together, and shares many of his facial structure with Taka [Scar]. Some would say he was handsome, but most females preferred muscle over brawn and class any day.
History: He was born shortly after Taka [Scar] reached two and mated with one of the pride's females without Mufasa realizing. At the time, Scar was planning on killing Mufasa and figured he would need his own heir. When Simba was conceived he let go of that idea. Therefore, there was no need for Mrithi. When Mrithi was born he was treated with love and adornment, and when Scar no longer needed him he denied being Mrithi's father. Mrithi was crushed by this, not knowing what he had done to make his father disown him. He spent the remainder of his time in the pridelands trying to impress his father. Eventually, he overheard his father talking about eliminating Mufasa and Simba at the tender age of 1 and attempted to kill the young cub Simba near the rushing rapids that tore into the side of the pridelands. Zazu was luckily spying on Simba and Mrithi, and managed to tell Mufasa in time before Simba fell into the river. Mufasa in turn, banished Mrithi, at which time he turned to Scar and called him father for the first time in front of Mufasa. Scar simply replied he had no son, and that Mrithi was simply trying to find a way out of being banished. After being banished Mrithi began to evolve into the sly and evil lion that he eventually became. He returns to the elephant graveyard shortly after Lion King II, beginning to plan the downfall of the royal family.
