Anonymous/ Wall Street Protests/ Vendetta masks. WHAT??

I'm completely confused about this group/ program. Exactly what is this FED? Is this some Robin Hood modern times movement? Here's some videos I found out of curiosity while watching some Aaron's vlogs and it turned up in related videos. Your thoughts on this are appreciated:

"Remember... Remember... the 5th of November." lol, it's just an internet group, that spawned from 4chan. They have protests a lot, some refer to them as terrorists, but they're just people who post online without any kind of identity, besides anonymous. They wear those masks as sort of a homage to V for Vendetta.

They're just paying homage to the movie? Wow... it wasn't even that much of a blockbuster.

I guess that's your opinion, I see the movie on TV very frequently, and I personally think it's a fantastic movie, and a very good comic as well.

Anonymous? They are the internet. Or rather, anyone who is on the internet and claims that they are a member of Anonymous. There is no central structure, so except for a few very special occasions, any single Anonymous even lasting more than a few days is no longer even part of Anonymous, but an offshoot.

Because Anonymous is the internet, their attention span is quite in fact only a few minutes long for most subjects. Same with the masks. Anonymous already said that the Guy Fawkes masks (as they are called) are not a symbol of anonymous.

A few uneducated people will tell you it's not a symbol, but from firsthand experiance it's their largest used of any kind of mask in order to signify their pressence, well that and Plague Doctor.

The mask keeps them anonymous I guess more than symbolism, we had a few of these guys in Brighton once and they knew nothing about V for Vendetta.

Also I hate them, and I know that seems like a strong word, but trust me all you need to know about the actual activists of the group itself is that they are sheep. They follow what the rest of the group are doing without any thought what so ever about what they are doing.
Telling third world countries to stand up for their rights? It aint the same! They WILL be shot or beaten for that and Anon still thought it was fine to tell those "People to fight the power!" LoL fail!

And do not even get me started on the Sony thing. From experience I do not really mind them, nerd will be nerds but come on at least put some thought into what you are doing, damn it!

But that's no all anon. As DG said, the internet IS anon, everyone is anonymous until they decide to give information. (well, except for the webmaster/staff of a website. )

I am fully aware of that. I did not even imply it was, but those are the kinds of people who seem to make a song and dance about it, with their youtube videos that no one really cares about and stuff like that.
I may be "Anonymous" right now (though I actually am quite lax when it comes to giving out SOME details online) but I am about to go and tell third world countries to go and fight their government about it, unless I am out there protesting myself which I would not as I quite like being alive to be honest lol.

It only takes a few people to give a bad name to a whole collective, and that is what has happened to them. And their excuses of fighting for the public is a load of trash in most scenarios.
So yeah, it is the people who claim to be an actual part of anonymous and then blindly follow the protests without understanding the subject at hand that I have a problem with. Otherwise like I said, nerds are going to be nerds.

EDIT - There is also no such thing as true anonymity on the internet, hence why these so called "Hacktivists" have recently found themselves being arrested and all sorts of lawsuits. Oh yeah sure, they are all one big group until they start getting in trouble, all of a sudden they are on their own and want nothing to do with it lol

lol, I already mentioned there's not much true anonymity on the internet, as the webmaster can almost always know who you are. lol Though is m00t really going to look through all of the millions of people most likely, who view 4chan everyday? lol
