1 1/2, 1 1/2? What is this, what is this up here? what! i am gonna go kill a magician and wear him as an outfit to go traveling to hawaii. You made me do that because of its confusing title. WTH? Pride rock is in dire trouble. Drama starts within the pack. nala is found cheating on simba with a hyena. Pumbaa's extremem eating disorder gets worse. One cheesecake could be too much. Timon gets a jet pack and shoots off into space, landing on a planet where a Muslim archer is making salsa. WHAT!

Did anyone else notice that in the beginning of TLK 1.5 (just before Timon pauses the original TLK opening with his remote control) that there was a different person singing the Swahili chant during the sunrise? Was this just a lazy attempt by Disney at saving their money? :/

I think it's done as a parody. Disney already owns all the Lion King property, so it will be even more expensive for them to hire another singer, instead of simply using the original recordings.

Great point. :o I don't know why I had the idea that Disney would have to give credit to and pay the original Circle of Life singers if they reused the original song in a new movie. I guess that was just a dumb, made up thought of mine.

Let me start woth this, the lion king and the lion king 2 were absolute masterpieces which made the people who watch it very related with the characters. It teaches life lessons and shows us the basic things you cannot avoid in life as well as happy as sad.
But this film destroys it all, it is as if they were trying to make a comedy out of it. I could simply not feel sympathy for the characters, and I could in the previous movies.

I really dislike 1 1/2. This movie wastes my time, except for all the Simba parts, which are the only parts in the whole movie that I like. I only love TLK and SP.

^pretty much the same, here.

We press play, don't press pause.
Progress, march on.
With the veil over our eyes,
we turn our back on the cause.
'Till the day that my uncles can be united by law,
when kids are walking 'round the hallway plagued by pain in their heart.
A world so hateful some would rather die than be who they are.
And a certificate on paper isn't gonna solve it all,
but it's a good place to start.

Personally I liked TLK 1&1/2. I liked it because it was amusing. Yes, I didn't get into it as much as the previous two films, but I still enjoyed it when I wanted to laugh, because to me it wasn't supposed to be a serious movie, but meant to be a comedy. It's a movie that I can only watch a few times before it gets old, but for the few times is very entertaining. I wouldn't say I love this movie, because it didn't really have much of a plot or interesting characters/music to fall in love with, so I'll just say that I liked it strictly for the way it made me laugh so hard the first couple of times I saw it.

Yeah, I pretty much watch this movie only for the parts with Simba in the jungle with Timon and Pumbaa.

It wasn't bad by any means, although I prefer the first two. It wasn't really intended to be another sequel, and for what it was, I don't think it was that bad. The parts with Simba were absolutely hilarious.
