Amy nodded. "But if you hadn't delivered it, the people would have died," she said.

"That maybe, but I wasn't scheduled to help the people, in fact the humans and other sled dogs looked down at me like a street rat." Balto said as his ears lowered a bit as he calmed down a bit.

Amy approached him. "A street rat? Why?" she asked.

[TheLionQueen]

"Well you see Jenna, she's a purebred and so are the rest of the dogs in Nome, plus they all have owners, but I am half husky and have wolf, so they think I will bite the humans or eat the children when I'm as pure as any other dog, plus I had no owner or collar so I lived in a ship that was wrecked a few years before I came to Nome." Balto said.

Amy smiled. "Well, we're not that way here in Knothole. Interspecies relationships are almost routine here," she said with a smile.

"That's nice, this place is like a giant paradise." Balto said.

Amy nodded. "For example, Sonic's never had a girlfriend who was a hedgehog. His first three girlfriends were wolves, his fourth a bat and the last a leopard," she explained.

"Cool. Jenna was my first and last mate and girlfriend." Balto said nuzzling Jenna softly.

Amy went on. "I wish I had been there for the parade that Sonic took along with him to meet Sally. He took treasures, servants and an entire zoo's worth of exotic animals," she said. Sonic nodded. "Forgive her. She's hyperactive," he said.

"It's fine, my daughters were just like that when they were small." Balto replied to Sonic.
