[Private RP ~ Baya and Songo ~]

[Baya]

Baya snorted as he looked at Chafuka. "I think I remember killing a lioness like you. Did you have any sisters? What of your mother? I probably killed them." Baya murmured with a cackle. His old tendencies of brutal word play were catching back up with him. He then looked to Tama for a moment.

"I rejected you back then because I wasn't interested. Now I can happily say I reject you because of my beautiful mate, and she is a deal greater of a fighter than you could ever be. I love her because of her spirit and strength. I always have, since our first fight." Baya murmured as he nuzzled Vitani. When they had first met, she despised him. She wanted him off her land, and away from her pride. Though Zira saw fit that Baya would be of use to her, and kept him around. Sure enough, him and Vitani had connected and here they were today.

"That's awfully sweet Baya, but you can't run from the fact that you've killed so many mothers and so many cubs up to the time you met her. How can you smile at your own son or daughter, when you've killed so many other cubs, hm? How can you nuzzle your mate, when you took them away from others?" Tama asked, her eyes having a maniacal shine to them.

"And if I didn't know any better...I'd say you chose her over me because she reminds you so much of yourself. An ugly, mindless br-" Tama didn't finish as Baya swiftly grabbed at her throat with his right claw.

"Finish it. Finish it!" Baya cackled, glaring into Tama's eyes. "Finish it, or I'll cut your tongue out you coward..." Baya hissed in a demented way. He'd never been angry in the desert, and he never killed in rage. But today was different. They not only assaulted his honor, but that of his mate.

[Songo]

But before Songo could say anything to Baya he had already grabbed Tama by the throat and Songo gave a growl at him. "Let her go!" she snapped. Her claws had unsheathed and she was giving Baya a warning. "We dont want to fight!" she growled.

Chafuka got so upset she knew she had to protect Tama, giving a sigh Chafuka leapt toward Baya's side. Her claws and teeth bared as she let out a growl herself, but her attack was stopped by Vitani.

Taking a victory leap at Chafuka she pinned the lioness to the ground by her throat, "Dont move.." she warned her blue eyes narrowing thinly at Chafuka. "I will do this for my cubs and my mate." she snapped. Giving a nod to Baya, Vitani looked to Songo. "Back down Songo..."

Songo nodded and took a few steps back submitting in hopes Baya would let Tama live, they wanted to cause some ruckus but not this much trouble. "Baya..let Tama go." she said sternly. "Do the same with Chafuka....."

Vitani gave a chuckle, "You see Tama? Look what you did, made us go back to our old ways. You listen and listen good. I will have an eye on you at all times, if you come near my cubs or sniff at them wrong. I will kill you or Baya will kill you. We wont hesitate to drain the life from your useless bodies!" she hissed pushing Chafuka away as she stepped back to Baya's side.

Chafuka gave a few coughs as she breathed in air once more and she padded past Songo and went over to the watering hole, she laid to her belly by the ledge.

[Baya]

Baya hesitated for a moment as he looked to Vitani and smirked. "And I REALLY hope it's me that catches you causing trouble." Baya hissed as he released Tama, having her gasping for breath and stepping back along Songo. Baya's eyes met with Vitani's admiringly as he stepped to the side. "Let's go somewhere more private. It seems even the grass lands are infested with vermin." Baya murmured as he began to walk.

Eventually he and Vitani came across a small oasis, and Baya smirked as he looked to Vitani. This was quite a reminiscent of when they were just a tad bit younger, the time he pulled Vitani into the water. He looked at Vitani and gave her an adoring nuzzle. "I know I don't say it enough...you are beautiful." Baya muttered.

[Songo]

Vitani gave a small chuckle as Tama gasped for air and she nodded at Baya's comment. As she followed alongside him she rubbed her body along his before slowing to a halt. Vitani gave an amused grin and licked Baya's cheek, "I know I probably say it to much, but I love you." she whispered in his ear. She gave him a long nuzzle right on his neck and snuggled her face in his mane.

Vitani stepped over to the water and leaned in getting herself a cool drink, she felt the water pass through her body. Lifting her muzzle she looked Baya's way, "So now its just me and you..." she whispered as she circled him playfully.

Songo stepped along side Tama as they joined Chafuka, "Those Outlanders will be of good use..." she muttered. Her green eyes looked to both lionesses, "Get some sleep...tomorrow we will get food and figure out how to work around Baya and Vitani." she said in a sigh. Songo curled up on the soft grass and closed her green eyes, sleep grabbing her quickly.

Chafuka looked over at Tama, "Are you okay? I know...you loved Baya.." she muttered sheepishly. "But just think you get to kill the cubs in the end....revenge is just as sweet." she said looking to her friend.

[Baya]

Baya smirked as he and his mate nuzzled. "The night is young..." Baya purred as he nipped Vitani' ear. "Do you know what would make my day? A good fight." Baya said as he licked her cheek. They haven't really fought for kicks in such a long time. Baya figured since they were alone, it could be on the list of their activities. [Like there's a LIST xD]

Tama shook her head. "No. I've always hated him...He rejected me like I was nothing, while other males battled it out to have me. Though only Baya every purged my interest...I wouldn't call it love. Maybe I just want good strong cubs..." Tama murmured quietly. "After all, that's every mother's dream. To see her cubs successful and strong..." Tama said quietly, now speaking more to herself. Her words began to trail off as she fell asleep.

~ Next Morning ~

Ukame opened her green eyes slowly as the sounds of morning came and some light was shed near the entrance of the den. She moved from her spot beside Tanto and beneath Tupa. She tip toed her way outside, noticing that her parents weren't inside the den. Where were they? What were they up to? She let out a small sigh as she sat down near the edge of pride rock.

[Songo]

Sarabi awoke before her parents and slowly she stepped out of the den, her hazel eyes spotted Ukame. "Its so peaceful in the morning..." she said giving Ukame a small nuzzle.

Sarabi noticed Ukame had been restless lately, "Why don't just me and you go practice our pouncing in the gorge?" she said with a smile. "Get away from everyone and I'll teach you a few tricks of my own."

Kiara stepped out of the den and chuckled, "Yes, you two can go practice out there. I know they have alot of hares you can chase after. But be careful...Alright?" Kiara warned leaning in and giving Sarabi a nuzzle. Before motioning for them to go on their way, "Hurry...before your parents get back." she added winking.

Sarabi nodded to her mother and grabbed Ukame by the scruff, quickly she hopped down Pride rock. She ran a little bit and set Ukame down to walk the rest of the way with her. "You know Ukame...becoming a Queen isn't all its cracked up to be." she muttered just wanting to get that off her chest.

Tanto woke up and grumbled, he rubbed the sleep from his eyes. Looking around he noticed Tuli and Tupa and no Ukame, growling he pushed Tuli's head. "Tuli..Ukame's gone again..." he growled.

Tanto pulled on Tuli's ear with his teeth until he saw him stir from his sleep, "You sleep like a rock! Wake up!" he ordered. His blue eyes noticed Kaira outside of the den and he padded out there quickly, "Have you seen...?"


"I sent Ukame out with Sarabi...they are fine." Kiara said looking down at Tanto. "My..my...everyday you look more and more like your father." she said with a soft smile.

Tanto nodded his head and slowly moved into the den to get Tuli, his blue eyes glanced around. Where was his mom and dad? "Tupa..." he whispered to his bigger adopted sister.

Vitani rustled around in her sleep and the familiar sound of animals filled her ears. She quickly popped open her blue eyes and looked around. "Baya...wake up..the cubs. We didn't make it back to the den.." she said softly in a bit of a worry. Baya had his arm snuggled around her and she leaned into him nuzzling his neck softly, she gave his face a few licks. "Mlove...we need to get back to Pride rock." she said in a sweet whisper.


-By the watering hole-

Songo slowly stirred from her sleep and padded over to the watering hole, her green eyes watched the animals all around. After taking a long drink she lifted her paw and splashed at Tama and Chafuka, "Wake up...Wake up!" she said loudly. "Tama you and I will head to Pride rock...and Chafuka..." Songo began to say but she stopped.

"I will what..?" Chafuka muttered as she slowly opened her eyes to the sunlight. She gave her paw a few licks an began grooming herself.

Songo noticed Sarabi carrying Ukame by the scruff to the gorge, an idea passed into her mind. Her green eyes narrowed and a smile crossed her muzzle, "Chafuka...you will head out to the gorge and make friends with the Princess. They are heading that way now...Tama...you will know what to do." Songo added. "I will poke around Pride rock and make some new friends.." she said with a soft purr.

Chafuka stood to her paws and looked at Tama, "Well..alright..." she muttered bounding off in the direction of the gorge with Tama on her paws. As they made it to the gorge Sarabi and Ukame were moving slow and Chafuka looked up at the grazing Wildebeest. "So Tama...I think if we can get these cubs to like us...we can set loose the wildebeest on them." Chafuka said quietly.

Taking a few steps she laid her body down on a warm rock and looked at Tama, "Look busy and let me do the talking..." she ordered with a growl.

[Baya]

Ukame smiled up at her older cousin. "That would be great! It'll be so much fun!" Ukame exclaimed as she pounced at her older cousin's right paw. Her eyes sparkled with enthusiasm, her grin nice and wide.

When Ukame and Sarabi made their way down, and Sarabi made her comment Ukame looked a bit confused. "But, you are gonna have all this. I mean...I don't see a point in saying you are the ruler of anything, but like...hm...You are the queen, so I guess you can't escape it." Ukame muttered.

Baya smirked as he woke up and nuzzled his mate lovingly as well. "They'll be fine Vitani. They got their family all around them." Baya assured in a tired tone as he stretched. "Though it would be best if we got back, hm? I'm sure they are all wondering where we've been or what we've been doing. Some things, we got to keep to ourselves though." Baya said as he gave her cheek a long affectionate lick. He began to make his way back to pride rock, looking every now and again to make sure Vitani was following along.

Tama frowned slightly as she looked to Chafuka. "Pfft, pretty dry even for you Chafuka. Where's the fun? I kind of want to kill them myself...watch their little faces twist up in pain and confusion. That's what they get for being Baya's cubs, and not mine as well." Tama spat bitterly. She didn't know how she felt about Baya, but she knew that he was the first male she was interested in and he reacted so violently that it broke her spirits and drove her mad with insecurity. Now she wanted his cubs, and pretty much only his cubs. If it meant he had to kill his other cubs and even his mate, she would do it.

[Songo]

Giving a small giggle as Baya got up and began the walk back to their home, Vitani followed obediently. She padded behind him and quickly caught up to his side, sliding her body along his. She gave him a wink, "Some things are better kept to ourselves.." she teased.

"But we must keep a good eye on our cubs, I don't trust those lionesses." she muttered as her electric blue eyes flickered at Baya. She leaned her face in and licked his cheek, "Plus tomorrow you can take Ukame out, she would love some alone time with her daddy. Or maybe we could all go...When was the last time we went anywhere?" she said with a small smirk.

As Priderock got in their view Vitani smiled at Baya, "Race ya.." she whispered before bounding off in the direction towards the dens. It might've been only a few hours but she missed Tanto and Ukame. Those were the only two that she loved more then Baya, not even Kovu was that high on her list. Seeing Kiara she bowed her head, "Morning Kiara, where are my little ones?" she asked looking around.


Kiara nodded to Vitani, "Oh Vitani, Ukame went out with Sarabi for a little bit. They shouldn't be two long, they're just spending some quality time together. However, Tanto is in the den with Tupa and Tuli." she said softly trying to avoid Vitani' glare.


"Alright, Thank you Kiara. TANTO..TUPA..!" Vitani called into the den. Her long tail flickered behind her body in annoyance as she side glanced at Baya making his way from the ledges, "Ukame and Sarabi are out in the Pride lands...spending the day together." she said softly meeting Baya's look.


Kiara gave a chuckle, "Listen you two, Ukame is in good paws. Sarabi knows not to take or let Ukame go anywhere she's not suppose to. Plus I figured you two could use a nice calm day, go enjoy the day." she said with a small scowl on her face.


Tanto padded out of the den and nuzzled his mother's legs and smiled to his dad, "Where were you guys?" he asked his blue eyes looking up curiously.

Vitani gave Tanto's head a few licks and nuzzled him close scooping him up with her paw, "Hushh dear...we are here now." she said with a smile.

Sarabi shrugged, "Its no fun having my parents breathing down my back all the time. Watch the Princess..Shes the Princess...Dont play rough with the Princess!" she mimicked sticking her tongue out getting a giggle from Ukame. As they approached the gorge they tip toed past the grazing Wildebeest, "One day Ukame, I want to take down one of those." she whispered grabbing the cub by her scruff leaping down into ledges into the gorge.

It was only at that split second did she realize she wasn't alone, Sarabi was going to turn back but stopped. Instead she took a second to watch Tama and Chafuka and see what they were doing.


Chafuka waited for Tama to turn from her gaze and putting on a sly grin she quietly snuck up behind her friend and tackled her onto the dirt ground. Tama gave out a grunt of pain and Chafuka chuckled, "You aren't a fast learner.." Chafuka snapped back.

Lifting her white paws Chafuka batted at Tama's muzzle and then she turned around to spot Sarabi and Ukame staring at her from a rock. Giving a bow of her head Chafuka smiled, "Hello Princess...and you must be Baya's daughter.." she said softly with a smile. Her pale blue eyes side glanced at Tama, she motioned for her to say hello.

"What brought you all the way down here? You're far from Pride rock..." Chafuka said reclining to her hinds.


Sarabi smiled, "I'm the Princess, these are all my lands." she snapped back. Her She put her paw around Ukame's body a moment but she watched Chafuka back off. "What are you doing down here?" she asked cocking her head to the side watching Tama dust off her body.

"Practicing our pouncing...it helps my hunting.." Chafuka said in a syrupy tone.

"Oh really..? You were good! Think you could teach us some?" Sarabi said softly debating weather or not to get closer, she looked down at Ukame.

[Baya]

Baya nodded in agreement to what Vitani was saying. With those passive-aggressive lionesses lying about, there was no telling what to expect in terms of safety. Baya's first thoughts once again went to his mate and cubs, with the royal family falling in second. When Baya got into the den, he listened to Tanto's question and Vitani's reply.

"Some things are kept to grown ups Tanto. You'll figure out why when you are older." Baya said as he went over to Tupa.

"Hey there. What were YOU up to?" Tupa jeered, giving him a wink.

"Some things are kept to grown ups Tupa..." Baya began and Tupa snorted.

"Very funny." Tupa murmured as she looked to Tuli who was awake and grooming himself. "Hey. Tuli. Go spy on the princess...make sure nothing goes wrong." Tupa whispered as she signaled him to the den door way with her eyes.

"Good minds think alike. I was going to suggest the same thing. Those lionesses are not to be trusted...and when they slip up I want them caught." Baya murmured quietly. "Tuli, if you manage to catch them in some sort of act, and they are banished...I'll make sure you are made a royal guard." Baya said with a curt nod. Tuli grinned at the idea and nodded as he trotted out of the den.

"You raised that boy right Tupa. You should be proud..." Baya murmured.

"I am...he's like his father, but...but I feel like he's met his potential alot better because he had a loving mother." Tupa murmured, looking slightly saddened. Baya nodded.

"Like I said, you did a good job. That boy is going to win alot of his battles to come. I know it..." Baya muttered quietly.

Ukame looked to Sarabi as she spoke, trotting down a few rocks. "Well, they gotta protect you Sarabi. You are the princess. Though, my dad kinda does the same thing with me if you haven't noticed...Ukame, don't go past the first tree! Ukame, be more like your brother! Ukame, you never listen! Pfft...." Ukame said, trying to mimic her father's much deeper tone but to no avail.

When they encountered the other lioness Ukame got really worried. This lioness was one of the ones that her father had told her to stay away from earlier. Though, she didn't seem like much of a threat. In fact, she was all for the idea of having training.

"Oh, look Chafuka, that is one of the adorable little cubs of Baya." Tama cooed from where she at. "We should go ahead and train them. After all...it is the least we could do for our earlier misunderstanding with Baya..." Tama purred.

[Songo]

Tanto watched Tuli run down the ledges of Pride rock and he looked up at his father, "Dad, Cant I go too?" Tanto pleaded with a small grin.

Vitani gave Tanto another lick on his head and she smirked, "Absolutely not Tanto, the gorge is a dusty place. Who knows what Sarabi and Ukame are doing over there. Probably, just talking about girl stuff.." she said wrinkling up her nose and poking at Tanto's belly with her paw.


"But maybe today your father and I can take you for a stroll by the western border." she mused giving Baya a small wink. Vitani knew Tanto would like that idea, he'd been begging to see the outlands from afar.


Kiara chuckled softly, "Well look who is approaching at 12'o clock." she whispered softly. "We have a visitor.."




Songo quickly pulled herself up to the small ledge below the large on that the rest of the Pride sat on. She knew she wasn't worthy of that ledge so she kept her distance, her green eyes spying Baya and his mate. "Queen, I would like to offer my services and those of my companions Tama and Chafuka. We are exceptional hunters and we'd like to devote ourselves to your hunting party. she said loudly. The lioness kept her calm composure and reclined to her hinds on the ledge, her green eyes locked with Kiaras, giving no acknowledgement to Vitani or Baya.


Kiara smiled, "Well we could always use more help, that sounds like a wonderful idea." she said with a grin. "Well, Vitani what do you think about havig some extra help?" Kiara asked quietly.

--------Meanwhile------

Chafuka let a grin spread cross her muzzle lips, "Yes Tama, I agree whole heart-idly. Well dears listen close, the best way to learn is for you to watch a skilled hunter in action. Me!" she said with a giggle. Lifting her creamy paw Chafuka pointed to a boulder towards the center of the gorge, "Just wait over there and I'll be right across the way from you two. That way I can pull the wildebeest down infront of you." she added giving Tama a nod. She watched her friend quickly scour up the rocky walls towards the grazing beasts above.


"That sounds so cool! Come on Ukame!" she said excitedly grabing the cub by her neck fur and lifting her up on the nearby boulder. she sat her cousin down beside her softly, "Lets watch this lioness in action, see they aren't so bad." she chimed in with a grin.


It was silent as Chafuka waited across the small dirt path, she expected to see a few wildebeests by now and she wanted to know what Tama was doing. For a moment Chafuka wondered if Tama had remembered the plan, wasn't Chafuka suppose to give out a warning roar? She couldnt remember and the lioness quickly ran to the rockly ledge, giving a loud roar. It echoed through the gorge and still there was no sign of Tama. Chafuka looked back to Sarabi and Ukame and slowly began to walk towards them, she shrugged her shoulders from far away. "I dont see her anywhere!" she yelled to Sarabi.


It only took a few seconds for the silence to be shattered and the loud thundering of hooves to be heard. Thick dusty smoke carried down into the gorge and a few small rocks fell from the walls. Sarabi had hopped off the boulder to meet Chafuka half way, but she stopped dead in her tracks. "Chafuka! Run!" she screamed her amber eyes wide with fear. Sarabi quickly turned back towards Ukame on the boulder and went to grab her cousin.

Chafuka panicked as she heard the stampede grow closer and closer to her heels, she leapt up onto a rocky wall. Her paws managed to grab a small ledge, it was loosening under her weight as she held tighter. Her crystal blue eyes glanced below at the herd running below her and she tried to climb higher failing. She heard the cries from Sarabi and Ukame, for a moment her heart ached.


Sarabi grabbed her cousin and started to climb the ledges quickly, only to loose her footing and slide back down the rocky walls with freight. Losing her grip on Ukame, Sarabi started to slide lower down the to kicking wildebeests. Warm tears trickled from her eyes as the sounds grew louder below them. Sarabi managed to toss Ukame on a ledge before she slid further down towards the stampede and Sarabi's scream echoed through the gorge.

Vitani stood to her paws and stepped to the ledge to look down at Songo, "Tell me where is the other two you came with?" she asked curiously.


Songo looked at Vitani with a straight face, "I sent them to bring a Wildebeest back from that rocky area, I figured you'd be impressed with their hunting skills." she added.


Tanto's blue eyes looked at the smoke rising from the gorge, "Mom..Dad..whats that?" he asked pointing out the cloud of dust rising into view.


Vitani's face flashed with worry, "Baya, a stampede! Ukame's down there!" she cried out loud leaping down the rocks towards the ground. It only took a few seconds but Vitani hit the ground running with Kiara at her side, Songo trailing only a few feet behind.

Kiara panicked, "Oh my god, Sarabi." she shrieked chasing after Vitani.

Chafuka heard the screams of Sarabi and she quickly leapt from the ledge down towards the stampede. The lioness ran alongside the beasts before making her move into the stampede. Her paws carried her as fast as she could, dust and noise filling the air around her. She looked around and felt her paw get nicked by a wildebeest causing her to slide across the rocky ground. Left breathless Chafuka spotted Sarabi knocked unconscious on the ground, quickly she put Sarabi onto her back. "I know I may regret this later.." she muttered to herself.

Trying to regain composure Chafuka stood slowly, pain jolted through newly acquired wound on her belly. Flinching, she leapt up the rocks slowly to Ukame and grabbed the cub by her scruff. "Its going to be okay." she muttered with fur in her mouth. At that moment Chafuka didn't understand why the younger cubs had to pay and she slowly began her hike up the wall. Her body ached with every step she took and Chafuka collapsed down on a low ledge. They were free from the stampede but that wasn't her big problem now;blood loss was.
