Delano laughed a little. "Well, maybe this was useful," he said. What he really meant was that he hoped that it wasn't a complete waste of time.

The trainer called for everyone's attention, and they started the patrol. "Remember, watch your surroundings, and look for anything suspicious." Together, they set off on their first patrol.


Umeme looked at Kasi to make sure that he wasn't listening to them. "Do you think that he knows where they are?" She asked. "I wouldn't be surprised if he had something to do with them leaving after only a few days." She thought for a while. "Did he kick them out? They seemed to get along well enough."

Muroki said nothing else and just walked with the group. He doubted anything bad would happen considering that they were like 8 or 7 lions, but he still did as the trainer said and tried to pay attention.


Lina shook her head, "I doubt he kicked them out... Not only he doesn't have the authority to but I doubt they would have allowed him to." she looked at Kasi, who didn't seem to have heard anything, "Maybe we should investigate him and ask him where they are?"

Patrolling, was, in Delano's opinion, the easiest thing they done. As a group, all they did was walk along the quiet border. They didn't even run, which was a new thing for them. It even got him wondering why they didn't start with patrolling in the first place.


Umeme looked at Kasi. "I don't know of he would tell us," she said, "after all, he didn't mention anything about it when they disappeared, so he as to be definitely hiding something."

The border was quiet and nothing came into sight beside the rest of the group, so eventually, Muroki just walked forward, pretending to be looking around whenever the trainer looked like he was about to look around at him and the other trainees.


Lina knew that Umeme was most likely right. If Kasi hadn't mention anything in regard of his cousins, then he most likely wouldn't want to tell them what he probably knew. "Where could they have possibly gone to?" If his cousin have simply left and went on to whatever place, then Kasi wouldn't be hiding it from anyone, so it was probably something more than just that.

Delano could see that his brother was getting bored. He caught up and walked next to Muroki. "Well, at least this is easy," he said, "I can finally think again." He looked behind him. "Unless the trainer has other ideas planned for us."


Umeme shrugged. "Beats me." She looked at Kasi, still oblivious to them. Thinking back, she remembered something. "Remember, he left that morning with them, but when he came back, they weren't with him?" Umeme frowned. "Kasi definitely has something to do with them." She concluded. "But what?"

Muroki chuckled, "You mean, us in particular?"


Lina nodded, "Yeah, you're right, he knows something we don't."

Delano smiled. "Perhaps. He has been splitting us up from the others a lot more often lately," he again looked behind him, "but right now, I don't see anything he can do."


Umeme shrugged again. "What do you want to do? Do we just ask him? Or do you want to somehow force it out of him?"

Muroki looked around, "Me neither. When he looked around to see what we're doing I act like I've been paying attention to our surroundings."


Lina looked at her friend, "I think we'll have to force it out of him either way. I mean look, they were gone for just a few days and he acts like they never existed."

Delano laughed a bit. "You mean, you exaggerated the motion. It's not hard to see that nothing is going on." He stopped laughing. "But yeah, like I said before, I can't wait to finish with this thing."

Umeme looked at Kasi, thinking. "When do you want to try it?" She asked Lina. "When are we going to confront him?"

Muroki sighed, "Yeah, so can't I." it hasn't at all occurred to him that their family members would get worried once they've left.

Lina shrugged, "Anytime, actually. It doesn't look like he's going to suddenly change his mind and tell us if we gave him time."
