I'll wonder if this Ryan O'Donohue is the son of Troy O'Donohue who's the ex-husband of the late Suzanne Pleshette, hence Ryan's participation in the movie, being nothing but an obvious choice to the character department, having mother and son both voice characters, to give them a most authentic link as possible for the sake of legitimatly calling Kovu Zira's son via this way?? *yay for secret conspiracies !* I mean come on!! Did nobody ever linked the two O'Donohue's before?? If not Troy 'n Suzanne's son, Ryan may still be a (very) (distant) relative to them..? :o

I was wrong.. This O'Donohue was NOT a son of Troy O'Donohue, but born to: Anita Lynne Rultenberg and Sean Patrick O'Donohue in the state of Hawaii back in 1984. Like I said: Troy O'Donohue was an ex-husband to miss Pleshette, hence my wonder if Ryan was a son of the latter two mentioned... Perhaps they're a distant family-member to Troy O'Donohue, who knows? In the end all names started at one family group..:)

Thanks for clearing this up, dear :) I never thought about this matter before, but thanks for doing the research (it spares me the work of doing so ;)) They might be distant family members, since they were both voice actors in TLK, maybe Suzanne got her far nephew in it :D

:confident: Heres what I have been able to find on Ryan O'Donohue...

(Ryan was born in Pomona, California to Anita Lynne Rultenberg and Sean Patrick O'Donohue. He has acted in Community Theatre until he was 9 years old. He got interested in professional acting after his 9th birthday. He wanted his father to buy him a new Sega Genesis Video Game. His Father told him he could not afford to buy him video games more than a few per year. He told him to get a job. Ryan's response was, What can I do? He was told he could do paper routes or cut lawns as his father had done when he was his age. Ryan responded with: You need a car to deliver newspapers and illegal aliens do all the lawn cutting around Southern California. His father said that he could try acting, because we lived around Los Angeles, but that it was a long shot and don't expect anything to happen for a long time. Also if you are going to persue this the only help his father was to offer was to pay for pictures and drive Ryan to auditions. All telephone calls and appointments were going to have to be made by Ryan in order to prove his interest. Ryan took care of contacting agents and photographers and within one month of getting his Agent, Ryan and his Dad were filming Ryan's first prime time series in Hawaii called "The Byrds of Paradise". After returning from Hawaii, the show was cancelled after the first season. Ryan got a part in the movie "Tales of the Crypt: Demon Night". He then got a voiceover part with Disney for Simba the lion for all video games and story books. Ryan starred in the CBS series "The Boys are Back" with Suzanne Pleshette and Hal Linden.)

So far all I can find is that he has done voice actting or actting in these films...

Batman Beyond (1999, Animated Series) Matt McGinnis
Batman Beyond: Return of The Joker (2000, Animated Film (Direct-to-Video)) Matt McGinnis
Batman Beyond: The Movie (1999, Animated Film) Matt McGinnis
Bug's Life, A (1997, Computer Animated Film) (additional voices)
Hercules (1998, Animated Series) Phillip "Hercules and the Kids"
Iron Giant, The (1999, Animated Film) Student
Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days (2009, Video Game) Demyx
Kingdom Hearts II (2005, Video Game) Demyx
Lion King II: Simba's Pride, The (1998, Animated Film) Young Kovu
Little Indian, Big City (1996, Live Action Film) Mimi-Siku
New Batman Adventures, The (1997, Animated Series) Matt "Legends of the Dark Knight"
Recess (1997, Animated Series) Digger Dave
Randall Weems
Recess: School's Out (2001, Animated Film) Digger Dave
Randall Weems
Superman: The Animated Series (1996, Animated Series) Boy #1 "Identity Crisis"
Toy Story (1995, Computer Animated Film) (additional voices)
What-A-Mess (1995, Animated Series)

So far this is all the information I can find, please correct me if I am wrong. :confident:

Wow, he’s been a busy actor from a young age! Impressive. :) I think he did a great job doing the voice for Cub Kovu. (he looks like a girl in that pic though, lol.)

Cub Kovu had the most cute voice of ANY lion king characters, in my opinion. He did a really good job being Kovu.
