Music Genres you dislike

I don't really like rave music and no offense but marachi drives me crazy!

I don`t listen to metal, just sometimes looking at the lyrics makes me shudder.
Jazz, as in the Miles Davis and John Coltrane kind, although it can be nice to listen to in the background in a restaurant.
Hip hop/rap. Not very fond of soul either. I`ve listened to some James Brown and Ray Charles, but it doesn`t work for me.

That`s the kinds I don`t like, otherwise I`m extremely versatile.

I really dislike all the Hot 40 type of music right now. I'm just not into one auto-tuned, dance-club ready song about dancing, partying, and sex. The same goes for most mainstream hip-hop. I know there's some exceptions, but most of the popular rappers are just constantly bragging about their piles of cash, their harem, how they want to kill their rivals, etc.

I will say a word about metal. Not every band that screams is "death" metal. That's a very specific genre that's actually a pretty extreme form of metal. As for the lyrics, sure there's some twisted ones out there, but they can be easily avoided and metal bands with a positive message do exist. To each their own though, I realize how much of an aqcuired taste heavier music can be.

Rap, it's horrible! It shouldn't even be classified under the world ''Music''. Any untallented idiot can make a rap song.

Country. I absolutely cannot stand country. I like a lot of different music genres, and I can tolerate stuff that I'm not even really a huge fan of. But country? Forget it. I detest country. New country or pop-like country is acceptable (like Taylor Swift, I really like her), but most country I just really hate. Their voices just sound terrible. No offense, but they just drawl on and on and it just doesn't sound good. I don't like the instrumental part of it, either. It's just not attractive to me.

I don`t like country where the singers are singing with a strong southern accent. It`s so stereotype to start a song with: "Well, I ain`t got no friends, I ain`t got nobody", sounding like hillbillies. Also I hate double negatives.

I really don't like country, but there are a few specific songs or artists that are an exception, like Brooks and Dunn, Taylor Swift, and a few specific songs I can't think of right now.

I also don't like rap. There might be very few rare exceptions. I don't mind some of the rap/pop/hip hop songs at school dances, but at home, I don't normally listen to it.

I don't like that really hard rock where it's a bunch of yelling and random strumming.

Amen, I'm sick of the mainstream American 'popular' music. Every song sounds so similar, they all just blur together. And the lyrics, don't even get me started xD I do, however, like European mainstream music. I also like the background music on some of the American songs, if I can versions of some of the songs without the singing, I'd be fine.
