"Oh. Tough week," Adam said. "Now, Philip, I can give you a chance to live. Leave your wife and children, and you won't die. But you must stay on the island for six months, else we can't trust you. What do you say?"

The older mermaid sighed, "I just know, ok?"

Ginnny stared at syrena.

Philip shook his head no, "I will not betray them."

"Okay, just... sleep well." Syrena rolled over again, trying to sleep.

"Okay, Marina. Where should we start? The Pacific alone is about one hundred and eighty million square kilometers!"

"Your funeral," Adam said, and clutched the missionary's arm tighter.

Ginny tried, but she couldn't. "I...I uh..I'm afraid of the water." Ginny said out of the blue.

Marina grimanced, "We need the missionary as bait, " She said and than she swam towards the shore. Philip and Adam were under docks, so Marina's hand shot out from under Philip and grabbed him.

"Afraid? What do you mean?"

The mermaid's strength pulled Philip into the water, but Adam's vicelike grip sent him hurtling in as well.

Ginny sighed and looked away from Syrena. "I've had a fear of mermaids. Still do."

Marina swam the two men towards her sister. "Oh, looks like lunch caught on.." She joked.

Neryssa looked dubiously at the large man. "Who's he?"

"Alright... What can we do?"

Ginny shrugged, "You have pretty scales." She commented.


"The smaller one is the missionary," Marina said, pointing at Philip, "The other doesn't matter. Are you hungry?"

Syrena didn't know what to make of that, really. She nodded in thanks, and rolled over once more.

"Well, I dunno. It doesn't look like much. Just big arms." Neryssa shrugged. "You first."

"No, no, you first, I have to hold the missionary. " Marina replied.
