Jempa smiled. "I think we'll have fun. It's been too long since I've raced," he said.

Hammy nodded. "All right, let's head out and practice," he said.

It was the day before the start of the big race. Everyone in Nome was getting ready. Hammy looked at his friends. "Well, guys, tomorrow we find out if all that training pays off," he said.

Melony took a deep breath, "It should. This is the hardest we've ever trained before." she smiled, feeling more than ready.

Hammy sighed deeply. "At some point tomorrow, we line up at the starting point. At that point, we'll get to look at our competition," he said.
