Balto: A New Journey

Balto didn't know how to explain it exactly. "It wasn't about anything in particular... It was always the same one. There were wolves, a raven and it was all in the middle of no where."

Hammy was interested. "And then what happened?" he asked.

Balto sighed, "Nothing. I always ran and at some point woke up."

Hammy sighed. "What did you do to get through them?" he asked.

Balto shook his head, "I didn't. I remembered turning around each time. I think that once when I tried to get to them the ice between us cracked and I couldn't get through."

Hammy was interested. "Wow, that's an amazing story!" he said excitedly.

Balto chuckled, "It was just a dream." he was surprised to see that Hammy was that interested in this.

Hammy continued listening. A short time later, his musher entered, holding Hammy's harness. "Come on, boy," he said. Hammy got up and went to him. "I'll see you later, Grandpa," he said.

Balto smiled, "Good luck."

Hammy nodded as his musher put him into his harness. "Bye," he said. He left the area and saw that Lilly, Jempa, Melony and Samson were already hitched up to the sled and ready to go. "Hey guys. It's a nice day for a training run," he said as the musher attached the line to his harness.
