Uru nodded as she snuggled with him in the tall grass, "That idea sounds splendid.." she said giving his muzzle a few more licks. "Mufasa and Sarabi will be happy to take over the throne, maybe we will get to see the birth of our grand babies." she said softly with a playful flicker in her honey colored eyes.


"Taka was my little brother and after I was given the throne he changed." he said softly. Mufasa shifted a bit, "You will see him around here Topas, but now we call him Scar. Dont ever turn your back on him.." he warned his new friend.

After letting out a big sigh, his ears twitched at the sound of laughter. "Come on..lets go see what they are doing." he said quickly pasting a smile on his muzzle. But in the back of his mind he wandered what Scar was up to lately, it had been awhile since he had seen his brother.

Sarafina nodded and smiled, "Look Sarabi, they are just in time!" she said with another smile. Sarafina gave her light tan pelt a shake and got rid of the dirt before smiling at Topas. "Mufasa, Topas...did you enjoy your day?" she asked them smiling widely.

Mufasa nodded at Saffy, "Yes, now were is my lovely Queen?" he said looking all around and landing his eyes on the dead gazelle. "There she is..." he said picking up the gazelle's neck and giving it a playful hug.


Zira reclined beside Scar and smiled, "I go where I please I dont really have a home. But a little past this graveyard is a dry desert area...That is where i was born and where my mother left me to die." she said sternly. Her amber eyes flickered as the hyenas disappeared into the caves and darkness, "But i survived and I will never go back there." she stated simply.

"So is it true...You are one of the Princes of the Pride lands?" she said raising her eyes Scar's way.

Ahadi smiled at his mate. "Speaking of our children, why not go and see what they are up to?" He suggested. "I wonder if they are getting along well with the new members of the pride or not." He got up slowly, giving Uru time to get off him without forcing her off. "And if we want them to lead hunting parties of their own, it might be a good idea to tell them about it sooner than later."


Topas was for some strange reason reminded of Zira when Mufasa described Scar. Even though they traveled together, he never trues ted the lioness fully. But the thought vanished as soon as Mufasa suddenly veered towards laughter. He followed the lion and the two of them found Sarabi and Sarafina along with a fresh kill. He smiled and when he saw that Mufasa got what he had asked for, and the smiled turned into a laugh when the lion went and hugged the gazelle instead of Sarabi.

"They get along really well, don't they?" He asked Sarafina, motioning at Mufasa and Sarabi.


Sarabi growled a little at Mufasa. "You are so asking for it!" But she couldn't help but to smile also as Mufasa dragged the kill away. She stepped on it, preventing Mufasa from dragging it away even further. "Well, All Mighty King, what I say is that you dine with your queen here."

She looked at Topas and Sarafina. "Come on, you two! Dig in!" She said before reaching down and taking a bite out of the gazelle herself.


Scar was surprised at Zira's answer. "So you are a survivor... I like that." He said, grinning. "And yes, I am a prince of these lands. But second in line after my brother, so it doesn't really count." He said bitterly. "And of course, my brother is the strong, stupid one."

Uru stood to her paws and nuzzled Ahadi, "Lets go tell the girls they need to get prepared.." she said softly. As Uru walked with Ahadi she sighed, "Have you tried to speak with Taka yet?" she wondered.


Mufasa chuckled as Sarabi growled and then he let go of the kill as she stood on it to stop him. "Oh you win my beautiful Queen." he said picking her up in his grasp and nuzzling his muzzle on hers. He smiled widely as he grabbed a chunk of meat and joined Sarabi's side, "Now you know that gazelle doesn't compare to you my love.." he teased between mouthfuls.

Sarafina chuckled and looked to Topas, "They always have gotten along like that, they belong together. I don't know what Mufasa would be like without Sarabi keeping him to the ground." she said walking up to the gazelle. "Probably lonely!" she said giving a small giggle. She grabbed a leg and enjoyed her lunch next to Topas in the grass while Mufasa and Sarabi chatted, "How did today go..?" she asked the lion her green eyes gazing at him.


Zira smiled, "I am a survivor." she said laying to her belly giving a yawn."Its a shame he got the throne...well you know if you something should happen to him. You'd be next in line.." she said softly throwing the idea out there. But she wasn't sure how Scar would take it so she quickly changed the subject, "Are you hungry? Im starving..."

Ahadi faltered a little. "I err... didn't," he admitted. "I couldn't find him when I had the time to talk to him." He hung his head in shame. "I know that I need to talk to him still, but..." He knew that Uru would most likely get angry at him for failing to talk to Taka.


Sarabi smiled at Mufasa in between bites. "I know that I am better. That's why I stopped you from moving away instead of outright pouncing you so hard that you would forget your name." She bent back down to get some more meat.

Topas stopped eating. "Well, Mufasa showed me the lands and talked about them." He stopped for a little while, unsure whether or not to continue. "He mentioned Scar. Said Scar is, that he's kinda weird."


Scar nodded. "Yeah, I got some meat stashed away here. Normally the hyenas eat it all, but today I told them that they can't. They are not dumb brutes, you know," he said, "needing guidance, yes, but they can follow orders very well. You never know, they can surprise you."

Uru paused and frowned at Ahadi, "We can't let Taka get caught up in the shadows...hes as important as Mufasa is. He is OUR son Ahadi.." she said in weary voice. They walked quietly for a moment before spotting everyone enjoying some lunch, "What...no invite?" she said putting on a small smile. Uru reclined to her hinds by Mufasa and Sarabi, "Sarabi..I have a request for you and Sarafina." Uru said looking to them both with a grin.


Mufasa chuckled at Sarabi's threat and leaned in giving her a small nuzzle, "Hey mom..dad.." Mufasa said standing up and bowing his head. He laid down in the cool grass and looked at his mom and dad, "Whats the request?" he wondered curiously.


Sarafina looked to Topas and nodded, "Hes been acting really strange lately...he doesn't hang out with us and he kind of resents Mufasa for the throne. I think.." she said softly before noticing the King and Queen. She bowed her head respectively and looked to Uru, "What request?" she giggled at Mufasa. "Mufasa I don't remember your name being Sarabi..." she said teasing him lightly.


Zira nodded, "Obident dogs..." she said with a small chuckle. Zira stood to her paws and stretched forward a bit and nudged Scar with her paw, "lets go hunt? Come on..." he said offering him a chance to get some fresh food. "Nothing excites me more then the chase and the kill." she said with a evil smirk.

Ahadi lowered his head even more. "I know..." He still felt bad when they came up to the others. Ahadi nodded to them when they bowed their heads towards him, but other than that, he sat down off to the side, letting Uru do the talking.


Sarafina also laughed. "Nor do I remember you being called 'Sarafina'," she added. "So you can stay out of this," Done teasing Mufasa, she turned her attention to Uru. "So what's the request?" She asked, echoing Mufasa's question.


Topas nodded. "I think I understand." He said before noticing the king and queen arrive. He sank into the grass right away, still feeling uncomfortable around them.


Scar nodded at Zira. "Be my guest. I don't hunt myself."

Uru reclined to her hinds next to Ahadi, "Well Old age is approaching Ahadi and I. Well Mufasa and Sarabi will be running the Pride lands in no time, but I want Sarabi and Sarafina to put together their own hunting party. Gather the lionesses for a big hunt and put them were you think they will succeed the most. Sarabi you are Queen, so you will lead the hunting party. But on days you cant leave and have other duties it is Sarafina's job to fill the spot and lead on." she said with a nod and a big grin. "Well...?"


Mufasa let out a chuckle and then looked to Sarabi, "So you'll be leading the lionesses to get our supper." he said with a wink of his eye.


Sarafina grinned widely, " Of course i'll do it! I love to hunt and that sounds like fun." she said giving a look to her best friend. "Oh Mufasa, you better be careful before Sarabi makes you starve." she said with a small giggle. Sarafina nudged Topas and told him to relax as everyone chatted casually, "It will be a pleasure."


Zira smirked, "Alright Scar. Stay here." she said with a grin before disappearing over the hill out into the Pride lands. She planned on picking off one of the little sick antelopes for food.

Ahadi for the most part remained silent in the conversation, but he did add a few things. "Sometimes, you will need to hunt together, but in two parties," he said, "and will have to hunt in different areas, so the parties will need to be able to work together, but also independently." He fell silent again after that.


Sarabi glared at Mufasa. "I'd love to do that," she said, "if only it will mean that I will have a say on when Mufasa gets to eat," she said smirking. Next to her, Sarafina chuckled. "If at all." Sarabi added, just so that Mufasa would get the point. She is more than just his food service.


Scar sat down and watched as Zira walked away. He looked at his hyena friends. "Some lioness she is," he told them, "might be useful." Most of the hyenas voiced resentment at his choice. Scar rolled his eyes. Hyenas are not the brightest of creatures and hate lions with a passion, which means that Scar will have to explain everything to them. "It will also mean that you will have more to eat." He told them. Right away, all the complaining stopped. Scar smiled. "Good. That's more like it."

Uru nodded at Ahadi's input, "He is right...but that is the jist of it and yes Sarabi, you will keep my big boy here fed. Aswell as your Pride." she said with a small chuckle at Mufasa's glare. Uru gave Ahadi a nuzzle, "This is our future right here..."she said softly teasing. Uru noticed Topas in the grass and she grinned at Sarafina, "Tell me Topas, has Sarafina been taking good care of you since you've been here? She is one of our top lionesses and has a bright future here in the Pride lands." Uru added giving Sarafina a nuzzle.


Mufasa rolled his brown eyes at his mother and Mufasa looked to Sarafina. "Who said she was a top lioness?" he said jokingly sticking out his tongue towards Sarafina. He stood to his paws and stepped a back a few steps as Sarabi chased him.


Sarafina nuzzled Uru back and smiled Topas's way, her green eyes narrowed at Mufasa. "Mufasa you jerk!" she growled and smiled as Sarabi ran to her defense. She sat beside Topas and gave him a small nuzzle, "Hes doing very good here." she added.


Zira hunted a gazelle and dropped it at Scar's paws, "Care to take the first bite...its so fresh.." she hissed her face close to his. Her amber eyes side glanced as the hungry hyena's eyes popped open. She rolled her eyes, "I figured you mangy mutts would be hungry, so I left another one outside the den." she said with a small chuckle as they ran towards the entrance.

Ahadi sighed at Mufasa's jokes. Normally, Mufasa was much more polite and serious, but now he was much more like a cub again. Ahadi didn't exactly mind, and he had a strong feeling that Mufasa only behaved like that now when Sarabi was around. He grinned a little. Mufasa was so strange, and yet, still so perfect in his own way. "You will be grateful for her help, you know," Ahadi cautioned Mufasa as his son ran away from Sarabi, "becasue you will need it." They didn't seem to hear him, so Ahadi chuckled a little. "I think it will be some time before he regain his senses." He told Uru.

Observing ho casually Sarafina sat down next to Topas, he knew that the two of them would get along well. For once, Sarafina looked truly happy in a very long time. Ahadi was glad for it, because he was growing worried at how Sarabi cared for her friend, and Sarafina's loneliness hurt her friend, and in turn, Mufasa as well. But now someone came who Sarafina liked, and the future looked bright.


Sarabi glared as her future mate insulted her best friend. She allows Mufasa to poke fun at her, but Sarafina was strictly off limits. "You did not just say that! You take that back!" She shouted at Mufasa and charged at him. He ran away from her, but Sarabi was determined to teach the prince a lesson that he would not forget.


Scar beckoned for the hyenas to leave the den and feast on the other kill. Soon enough, he was alone with Zira. "Care to join me?" Scar asked her before reaching down to take a bite out of the meat. "Nice kill." He complimented.
