Simba looked at Nala. "Nala, am I trying too hard to be like my father?" he asked.

Kovu was almost as worried, if not equally. "Simba, is there a problem?"

Simba sighed. "I want to be a good a ruler as Vitani and I's father, but I don't feel like I am with what Chaka did. I mean, neither me or Vitani ever rebelled against our parents like that," he said.

Kiara turned to her father, "What's going on, Mother? Father, Did Chaka do something?" Trying to get her father and mother's attention.

Nala wiped the crystal tears from her eyes and looked to Kovu and Kiara, "Chaka broke a rule and now he can never come home.." she whispered softly. "Chaka and Folle are expecting a baby. The rule is no one has cubs before the future King and Queen; Kopa and Ruby." she said sternly. Nala nuzzled Simba softly her sobs still heavy, "We did what we could Simba...Chaka choose his own destiny..now he must walk in it."


Mheetu rubbed his head off Vitani, "Lets hope Chaka and Folle live peacefully." he whispered into the darkness. His green eyes watched Vitani cuddle into their cubs and get ready for sleep. He stayed up watching them sleep thoughts of Chaka in his mind. Mheetu finally fell asleep..only hoping for the best.


Ruby nuzzled Kopa's mane for him to come and sleep, "We will talk to your parents in the morning.." she whispered as she walked into the den and laid down. Her amber eyes watched Kopa and she knew he was upset, she sighed.

"Oh. I'm sorry," Kovu said, "Maybe we should take a little rest. It's getting dark."

Simba sighed. "I can't rest. There's a lot on my mind right now," he said. Kopa looked at Ruby. "I can't believe my own brother betrayed me!" he shouted.

"I don't blame you," he said quietly, and walked into the den.

Simba looked at Kopa, Ruby, Kovu and Kiara. "Listen, with all of this happening, there's no sense in making you four wait any longer. You will all be married soon," he said.

Kovu smiled. "Thank you, King Simba," he said, and yawned.
