Uru awoke early the next morning, maybe it was old age or perhaps she just knew she needed time to think. The Queen quietly padded down the rocky path towards the watering hole, she helped herself to a drink. As the sun crept over the horizon Uru felt the wind pass her and she looked at her reflection in the water and for a moment she thought she saw her father.




Ooc: lets have a quiet Ahadi and Uru moment, we can wake everyone else up ina minute. Yes, its thunderstorming over here! =0

Ahadi woke up feeling unusually cold. Annoyed, he pawed around for Uru, but didn't feel her. Opening his eyes, he looked around, but still didn't see her. Groaning as he got up to his feet, Ahadi confirmed that Uru was not in fact in the den.

He walked slowly outside and looked around the lands, spotting Uru down by the water hole. Smiling, Ahadi trotted down Priderock and ran over to her. Slowing down when he came near the water hole, he came to a walk when he spotted Uru. He looked at his mate, and saw that she looked preoccupied with something.

Approaching slowly, Ahadi came close to Uru. "Hey Uru," he said softly, not wanting to startle her, "What are you doing over here so early?"

Uru turned to look at Ahadi as he approached and she gave him a warm smile, accompanied by a small nuzzle. "I'm alright dear, i've just been doing alot of thinking." she added taking a seat next to Ahadi. His body always kept her warm from the chilly wind, "The best way for Mufasa and Sarabi to learn is for us to give them the Kingdom. We then add our recommendations as they go but they will never learn if we don't let them go."


Sarafina was up unusually early this morning and she quickly bounded towards where Mufasa and Sarabi liked to sleep, "Sarabiiii...!" she yelled nudged her best friend awake with a grin. Sarafina looked to Mufasa, he was the first to lift up his head and give her a mean look. "Topas is now part of the Pride!" she said with a grin.


Mufasa groggily let out a growl warning for Sarafina to leave but she continued to stay and talk, he lifted his head and looked at her. "Thats why you woke me up.....Well thats great news. Now go back to sleep." he said resting his head back on Sarabi's back.


Sarafina rolled her eyes and growled, "No Mufasa, i was wondering if you could show him around the Pride lands and me and Sarabi could hang out and catch you guys lunch. The wildabeest are down by the gorge so it will be a easy catch. PLEASE!" Sarafina begged with her big green eyes at Sarabi and Mufasa.

Ahadi listened to Uru's suggestion. "So you think that they're ready?" he asked her. He also thought about it. "Well, we let Sarafina run this place while we were busy, and she handles it well enough usually with just Zazu's help, and now Mufasa and Sarabi learned a lot from us..." He trailed off in thought. "But yes, if we let them take over, they will finally be able to get actual experience."

He looked up at Uru, smiling. "Well, now's a good time as ever to let them take over us. The time that will be required to organize the ceremony will just be enough for the new rogues to settle into our pride."


Sarabi was rudely woken up by Sarafina. Moaning in complaint, she lifted her head up. "Couldn't you have waited at least a little longer?" She asked sleepily, but got up anyways. She nudged Mufasa and muttered, "Come on, we won't be able to get Saffy to change her mind." She stretched to try and wake up before turning to Sarafina. "Alright, we'll do it," she said, not giving Mufasa a voice in the matter.

Uru smiled and rubbed her head off of Ahadis, she felt good. At the rate time was moving so fast for them and she wanted to spend the rest of her days with her King. "Yes, we can give the rogues a few more days to get aquatinted and assign them some new jobs in the Pride. Make them feel at home...also Sarabi and Sarafina should be preparing to create their first hunting party. It gives me a chance to rally a few good lionesses aswell." she added with a smile.


Mufasa paused a second and looked to Sarafina and then Sarabi and then back at Sarafina and he sighed. "Females.." he grumbled under his breath as he picked himself off the the stone floor. He let out a loud yawn and he motioned for them to leave the den, "Where is he...let me go find him alone." he said making sure Sarabi and Sarafina stay away. As Mufasa hopped down the ledges towards the lower den he turned to look at the two females, "I want a big wildebeest to eat for lunch!" he ordered.


Sarafina nodded and gave Sarabi a hug, "Thanks...I hope Topas and Mufasa get along. I really like him and he seemed sweet." she said with a soft voice. She padded beside Sarabi as they made their way towards a big shady tree, "We can relax a bit and catch the food mid day.." she added. "How are you and Mufasa doing with the whole King and Queen thing?" she wondered.


Mufasa stepped outside of Topas's den and he peered at the sleeping lion, "Topas...you up for a little walk and tour of your new home?" he asked curiously waiting for the lion to stir.

Being a male, Ahadi wasn't as familiar with the hunting procedures. "I thought that Sarafina and Sarabi were already hunting..." He said uncertainly, most likely misunderstanding Uru. "So don't they already have a hunting party?" He didn't want to sound clueless, but he had to swallow his pride for this one.


Sarabi let out a giggle. "Oh, Mufasa, he can be so funny sometimes," she deepened her voice to imitate him, "I want a big wildebeest!" She ended up sounding nothing like him and ended up laughing. "Only he has the courage to make such a request." She lay down in the shade offered with the tree. "But most of the time, he's just, Mufasa." She told Sarafina. "Big, bold... Not nearly as wise as he likes to think he is." She smiled and laid her head on the warm ground. "He'd be so much different if I weren't around to help him all the time."


Topas stirred when he heard Mufasa. He quickly woke up and got up. Life as a rogue meant that he was still used to waking up early and moving right away. "Sure, let's go!" He said enthusiastically.

Uru chuckled and nuzzled Ahadi's neck and her honey eyes looked up at him, "They can hunt and they both do very well. Sarafina is very quick and agile and Sarabi is very precise and doesn't leave a minute to spare. But together they can grab more and bigger prey. With a whole hunting group we can feed everyone easier, but I'm going to hold a sort of test. Some lionesses can hunt but not all are great hunters, so why not have the best of the Pride lands." she insisted as she rubbed her body past Ahadi as they got closer. Her muzzle lifted as she touched her nose to his, "With only a few of us my mother never made a huge hunting party, but now its time I can make a good one."


Mufasa gave Topas a morning nod, as they started their journey Mufasa took Topas all over the Pride lands. He smiled and nodded at his mother and father as they passed over them on a hill, he noticed his mother was chuckling. He enjoyed watching them happy it made him look forward to the older days of him and Sarabi, how much time together they would truly have. Mufasa noticed Topas was quiet as he walked and talked about the lands and the animals in it, "How do you like it here so far? It seems Sarafina has taken a interest in showing you around and keeping you company. She is a very close friend of Sarabis and mine." he said in a stern tone. Which also meant treat her nicely or he would have a world of problem on his paws.



Sarafina giggled along with Sarabi and then she stood to her paws, her green eyes squinted. "We can grab them both a gazelle." she said with a wink and bounded off in the direction of the grazing herd, she could see them not far in the distance. She looked at Sarabi and smiled, "When do you think you and Mufasa will try for cubs?" she asked softly as they ran, "I mean besides the crown thats the next part of your life." she teased.


Zira slept soundly under a rock but her mind was dreaming about Scar, there was something interesting about him. Something that made her make her way back into the elephant grave yard that morning. Her amber eyes scanned the boney area and she noticed a small crack in the earth and she continued down inside, smoke was filling the air around her. She stumbled upon Scar and a few hyenas chewing on a bone at his paws as they talked. They sent a few warning growls her way and she snapped her teeth back, "Get back you mangy mutts!" she growled before turning to look up at Scar with a smile.

Now Ahadi understood. "Oh, I get it." He smiled. "Are you going to be part of the party? Last time I checked, you weren't ready to retire on hunting," Ahadi teased her, "sometimes it seems that you spend more time with the prey than with me." He purposefully said it to get Uru mad. Before she can react, he jumped away, turned, and ran. "Catch me if you can!" Ahadi challenged her.


Topas looked around the Pridelands. "the look pleasant enough," he concluded, "certainly tame enough. Beats being a rouge, I guess." He got taken back slightly then by Mufasa's warning. "Hey, relax. I'm not going to hurt her. I like her." He blushed as soon as he said that. "So what was it like growing up and living at the same place your entire life?" He asked, hoping to change the subject.


Sarabi pushed Sarafina away playfully, but her friend just ran right back to her. "Too soon, Saffy!" Sarabi said. "Mufasa's not even king yet! At least wait for that! I want him to settle in comfortably first, then we will see about that." They stopped near the gazelle heard. Sarabi looked at the heard, picking out prey. "See that large one at the edge of the heard? I'll run to it's left, forcing it further away, and then you can get it."


Scar looked up and saw Zira. He smiled. "Ahh, I see that you're back. What do you think of your second day here?"

Uru's honey colored eyes narrowed as she chased after Ahadi, she laughed the whole time close on his heels. She quickly picked up the pace noticing Ahadi try and run up a small hill, she sprang forward and tackled him back down the hill. They rolled together laughing and she pinned him against the soft earth, "Got ya..." she teased softly nuzzling her muzzle across his furry cheeks.

She gave him a lick on his muzzle and smiled looking down at him, "I wont be joining them in the hunting party. They need to form the lionesses together by their skills and if they do it right we will have dinner." she said softly with a grin. "I want to spend the rest of my days with you..."


Mufasa gave a nod Topas's way and when their walk was finished and the sun was high he settled on top of a hill admiring the Pride lands. "These lands belonged to my grandfather and grandmother and my mom grew up here, my dad was a rogue. It was good having a home I knew I was safe in and its even better knowing one day I will be King. I want my cubs to enjoy the life I did with my family and once with my brother Taka...." he said as his voice cracked at the end.


Sarafina nodded and watched as Sarabi advanced towards the herd, Sarafina moved towards the back and kept herself hidden in the tall grass. It tickled her belly as she moved silently and slowly, it only took a few seconds for Sarabi to make her move and Sarafina was right there to attack. She sunk her claws into the flank of the gazelle dragging it down. "Sarabi!!" she shouted as the gazelle bucked and kicked. Sarafina kept her claws in the flank tightly and tried to get her fangs into a leg before she got hurt.


Zira smiled, "It was enlightening....I want to stay." she said simply. She circled around Scar slowly and her own amber eyes scanned over his lean body. "Something about you....Scar..."

Ahadi laughed as he ran away from Uru. Letting her catch up to him, she jumped on him and the two of them rolled around before stopping, Uru pinning him on the ground. Ahadi looked up at her in admiration. "You were always the one who would dare and pin me," he told her, "and you are the only one who can do so."

He gently pushed her off of him. "I like your plans," he said to her, grinning, "just as I will spend my time with you once Mufasa takes over as king." He nuzzled her. "And I can't wait until that day."


Topas notice how Mufasa faltered in his explanation. "Who's Taka? What happened to him?" He asked uncertainly, afraid that he might have gone into forbidden territory.


Sarabi chased the gazelle and pounced hard on it when it got tackled by Sarafina. She bit down on the animal's neck, strangling it. Soon afterwards, the dying animal ceased its panicked kicks and lay still for its last time. Carefully, Sarabi let go and backed away, as did Sarafina. Sarabi smiled at her fried. "Are you alright, Saffy? We got a good one!"


Scar watched as Zira circled around him. "You're not bad either," he replied. He noticed her also admiring the graveyard. "Where are you from?" He asked her.
