[Private RP ~ Baya and Songo ~]

[Baya]

The sun began to rise, its red and yellow light beaming over the horizon of the pridelands. As its light enveloped the pride lands, animals from flamingo to giraffes began to stir. The news was given to them yesterday, that the new heir of the kingdom had been born! Of course, they were always excited at the birth of the next lion king or queen! Many of the animals began to make their way towards the legendary and historic pride rock! It was there that Scar had been over thrown after his horrible reign, and Simba had taken the reigns of his kingdom once more! It was there, that every royal cub was presented to the animals of the kingdom.

Speaking of pride rock, Simba, Nala and of course Kovu were eagerly awaiting outside when Kiara was giving birth the day before. Kovu seemed worried, and Simba assured him the cub and Kiara would both be fine. Of course, the worry and doubt was still there. When the cub was born as Simba had predicted, Kovu could say there was no happier day then the birth of his cub. Now, it was the time of the ceremony. The day after the cub was born Rafiki was waiting outside the den, whilst many of the other animals eagerly waited below. Kiara smiled at her own little ball of fluff that nuzzled into her golden fur for comfort. For security. For love. Rafiki held his hands out for the cub, and Kiara gently picked it up by the scruff and handed it to Rafiki.

"So this is done for all the royal cubs?" Kovu whispered, sort of worried about his cub. Kiara nodded.

"It's completely safe Kovu...Don't worry." Kiara assured with a smile. Kovu sighed as he nuzzled his mate in both pride and happiness. Nothing could ruin his life now. Zira was gone. The outlands and the past were behind him.

"Sssh you two." Simba said in a stern tone. He had grown a bit older in age, and was not the young lion he used to be. He still however, held onto his kingly aspects and sternness with Kiara and Kovu.

Rafiki rubbed the symbolic juice of one of the fruit onto the cubs forehead, per custom, and blew some dust in its' face. The cub sneezed and Rafiki chuckled. "Just like her grandfather..." Rafiki cackled, looking to Simba with a smile. He then approached the edge of pride rock, cub in hand. The animals all had their heads bowed to their new princess, awaiting her presentation. Rafiki held her out for them to see, and they all began to cheer in their various vocals.

Meanwhile, sitting near the base of pride rock was the rest of the lionesses all roaring in pride. Included within that group of course was Timon, Pumba, and the vicious straggler Baya. Baya and Vitani had gotten a bit closer ever since their first encounters in the outlands. Baya and Tupa were easily the most vicious fighters Zira had recruited to both Nuka and Vitani's disdain. However, Tupa and Nuka grew so close, that Baya found it very difficult to try and leave with her. She was his adopted daughter after all. It was hard to let go. Though within her little love story, Baya found his own when he continously fought Vitani for simple things like food. Though the irony was, he didn't even want it.

Whenever he won fights against Vitani, he felt far more special than he did normally . When she defeated him, it was another story. Baya could see downright murder in her eyes. After all, he had humiliated her many times. Murder being there, never did she express it through action. That is what drew them so close. They would beat each other to near death, but never would they take the finishing blow. Instead, they would just lay there. Basking in their victory or defeat. Sometimes, Baya would even open up to her with regards to his life in the desert. Sometimes she would open up to him, about how she felt about the war and her mother. Long story short, they grew attracted to each other through countless fights, verbal AND physical.

Now Baya sat right next to Vitani, who was roaring with the rest of the pride. She was happy for her brother, Baya knew. Though he wasn't roaring. All he cared for was Vitani. He always saw Kovu as weak and over-compassionate. Then again, Baya was under-compassionate, so perhaps it was all subjective. When the roaring stopped, Baya held no expression. Not even one of happiness. "Is this pointless ceremony over?" Baya murmured, looking to Vitani. He didn't know if he could call her his mate yet, since they didn't really...mate.

"Pointless? This is to show our respect for our new QUEEN! You need to open your eyes kid!" Timon shouted angrily, shaking his little fist. Baya's muzzle burst into a smirk, and he looked down to Timon. "Big words for such a small, old thing. Why don't you run along before you get hurt" Baya stated with a cackle as he let a burst of air out of his nostrils, sending Timon falling backwards. Baya then looked to Vitani once more.

Finally, it was time for Kiara and Kovu's life to move forward. A baby. The grin that crossed the lionesses face was large and her brown eyes flickered with excitement as her new cub was held up for Pride rock to see. She leaned in and gave Kovu's neck a quick nuzzle before looking to her mother and father aside of them, her family was complete.

As Rafiki made his way back over Kiara scooped her bundle of joy from his grasp, a lick falling over the new princesses head. She smiled and nodded to the animals as they continued cheering and she stepped into the shadow of the den, laying down she nestled her daughter in between her paws. Lifting her head she looked to Rafiki, "Her name is Sarabi, like my grandmother." she said in a soft whisper. The brown furred cub let out a few soft mews before she closed her light amber eyes to sleep. Kiara lifted her head and looked up as Kovu made his way over to her, "Do you like her name...? The brown fur it made me think of her and it just seems to fit. She was a great Queen you know...strong aswell."


Vitani rolled her eyes at Baya's lack of enthusiasm for her new niece, "You know you could be a little happier for Kovu and Kiara." she said smacking his paw down away from Timon small body. She motioned with her muzzle for the pig and meek-rat to get moving before Baya decided he wanted a mid day snack. A smirk crossed her muzzle as her blue eyes watched Baya closely, "Lets go find some food.." she ordered stretching forward a bit before heading out into the Pride lands. She knew the lionesses planned on having a large hunting party in celebration for the new cub, but she figured it would be easier to deal with Baya away from the others. Vitani gave a look up at Pride rock as they all gathered to get a closer look at the cub and she was happy for Kovu, but she also wanted something more for herself awsell.

[Baya]

Simba's eyes widened at her new granddaughter's name, a smile following shortly after. Sarabi was a name that should never die in the pridelands, and Kiara was going to let it continue living. Simba got into the crowd of lionesses that were going to see new born Sarabi. Kovu had already spent time with her, so it wasn't as big of a deal that the others blocked him from getting to his daughter and mate.

Baya frowned as his paw was smacked away from squashing little Timon. "Oh great kings above! I thought was done for!" Timon whimpered. He and Pumba took Vitani's warning to heart as they began to walk away slowly, and make their way up pride rock to get their own look at the new little princess. Baya looked to Vitani once more.

"You're no fun..." Baya murmured in monotone. His ears flicked at her suggestion of a hunt of their own. That's how it usually went down in the out lands. Of course, they'd end up fighting normally. Baya smirked as the prospect of battle crossed his mind. "After you." Baya said as he also stood, and stretched a bit. He trotted after Vitani, hoping that the fight would be great! [p.s. I know what you are getting at, but Baya doesn't LOL]

[Songo]

Kiara was quickly over run by the lionesses and the other animals that managed to squeeze their way into her den. She finally had a moment to relax as they began to exit. A small sigh escaped her muzzle as Sarabi began to mew and she let the newborn cub suckle quietly.

"Kovu...I didn't see Vitani or Baya come and see our baby. I mean maybe not Baya, but I thought Vitani would've wanted to see her." she said in a soft curious tone. "After all..it is her niece!"

It was mid day in the Pride lands and the animals quickly got back to their assigned duties and Kiara looked up at her father, "The circle of life continues..." she whispered proudly. Leaning down towards Sarabi, Kiara gave her cub a few licks as she nestled her head close by. It seemed that Pride rock was quiet for the time being and Kiara enjoyed the silence. Until she heard the normal chatter of Timon and Pumba, "Shhh...Shhh..." she warned as they strolled into the den loudly.

"Where have you two been?" she asked as she looked over at Kovu and then back to Timon and Pumba.


Meanwhile, Vitani was low in the grass and her eyes were dead focused on a antelope grazing a bit to far from the herd. As she slowly stalked her prey the green blades rubbed past her soft underbelly giving her a small tickle. Trying to remain focused and keep her composure she crept lower and stayed hidden as the antelope moved closer her way. An sly grin crossed her muzzle lips as her claws silently dug into the soft earth, she was waiting for the right moment to strike.

She knew Baya was somewhere around here and she hoped he wasn't dumb enough to scare their food away. She didn't feel like chasing her prey down, she only wanted to taste it. Waiting a few more seconds Vitani quickly noticed something caused the antelope to stop grazing, a snort left her nostrils. Before her prey bolted in the opposite direction Vitani sprang from the tall grass, her claws catching the rear end of the antelope. Her first thought as she felt her prey kick back towards her in protest was where in the hell is Baya!

[Baya]

"We were below pride rock. Thought it was more of an occasion for the royal family." Pumba explained with a bit of a chuckle.

"I don't know why you keep that Baya lion around. He creeps me ouuuuuuut. I mean...theres like Zira creepy! Then there's Baya creepy! Whole new level!" Timon began to explain.

"Timon, no need for that...this day is too special." Simba murmured as he looked at Kovu, then his grand daughter. Kovu sighed as he got closer at last, when all the other lionesses backed off.

"To answer your question, I wanted to let the others to see our beautiful cub. I know its not right to boast...but..." Kovu trailed off with a chuckle as he nuzzled Kiara once more.

"Wait, speaking of Baya, where did he and Vitani go?" Tupa called from within the den, as her magenta eyes darted around. She just about adored Kovu's daughter, and a tan furred cub not too far from Kiara was sitting patiently waiting. He wasn't more than six months old, and his eyes were the same magenta as his mother's.

"I saw them run off together. I mean...Baya was smiling. Is that good or bad?" Tuli asked, looking to his mother for an answer.

"Seldom is Baya smiling a good thing." Kovu chimed in with a sigh. It bothered him how rough he was with Vitani, but Vitani was just as rough with him. If Kovu didn't know any better, he would call it love, but they expressed it in such an odd way! Battle. Then again, he couldn't see Baya professing his love for Vitani verbally any time soon. He was a very closed lion, not really sharing any sort of feelings with anyone.

Baya let out a snarl as he too dashed alongside the antelope that Vitani had flanked. It took him awhile to process that it began to run while he was crouching in the grass, but once he took notice of Vitani going after that one antelope, he followed suit. It was a young one so it was a bit difficult for her to take down alone. He'd just tease about her needing help after anyway! Once he got close enough, he jumped at the side of the antelope, digging his claws and teeth into the tender young flesh.

Once the antelope was on its' side, it was kicking about. Baya was hit in the side by it, and coughed. "Annoying..." Baya said in monotone as he cracked its neck in one swift jerk of his head. He let its' neck fall from his mouth, and smirked as he slowly looked to Vitani. Before she could dig in, he pushed his nose against hers and shoved her back a bit. "You know the drill. You want the food, you'll have to fight me for it. It's been awhile since we last fought." Baya growled with a sinister grin.

Nala shook her muzzle and padded between Timon and Pumba, "The both of you are just as much family as Vitani and Baya are.." she spoke before giving them a warm hug. After she finished chatting with Timon and Pumba she smiled Simba's way. It seemed after all these long years Nala's crystal blue eyes still flickered with lustful gaze as she glanced at her King.

"Come on dear lets round the lionesses together and order a big hunt. Of course everyone eats good today, because it's a special day." she said softly rubbing her head off of Kiaras and giving Sarabi a lick as she slept soundly. Finding her way to the entrance of the den Nala stepped to the edge of Pride rock, she gazed at the land and the beauty it gave off. Glancing back she smiled as Simba was quickly catching up, "Shall you give the order my King." she teased with a playful smirk.


Kiara smiled as she gazed Kovu's way and she lifted her head licking his cheek, "The happiest moment of my life." she whispered. Seeing the worried look on Kovu's face as he spoke about his sister and Baya Kiara nudged him under his chin with her own muzzle. "Vitani is smart and Baya is no fool. Sometimes we don't realize how much we need each other." she added giving him a small smile.

"Are they together? I can never really be to sure...I thought they were." she chuckled. Kiara's warm brown eyes looked over as Tuli spoke and she smiled. "Come over here Tuli, you can get a closer look at the Princess."

Watching Tuli make his way towards her made her smile, he looked so much like his mother. Kiara wondered how Sarabi would grow up, hopefully staying away from the trouble Kovu and herself seemed to get into.

After the 'crack' of the neck Vitani picked herself up from the grass and gave her pelt a shake. Dust was kicked up into the air by the antelope and she could still feel it around her. A small giggle left her muzzle as she lifted her paw up to conceal her laughter. Seeing Baya get kicked made her snicker and she stepped his way slowly. Inching her head a lower towards the ground Vitani quickly had her eyes glued on Baya, a sneer plastered on her muzzle. "That much I figured!" she retorted before launching herself at his large body.

Catching him a bit off guard caused them to roll onto the dirt ground and Vitani opened her blue eyes looking down at him. "Maybe you should spend more time defending yourself then talking..." she hissed with a smirk of her own.


Ps- I did a little god mod, i hope you don't mind. She had to pin him atleast once! =P

[Baya]

[Don't apologize, I completely understand. Baya isn't God, so it wouldn't be fair if Vitani didn't over power him at least a little xD]

Tuli smiled as he looked at his technical cousin, him being the son of Nuka who is the half brother of Kovu. "She's pretty! Wait...was I this pretty?" Tuli asked his mother. That question coming from a young male lion was cute on its own. Tupa giggled and shook her head as she approached her son. "Boys are handsome, girls are pretty. Though you could be a pretty boy...but its not the same meaning as a pretty girl." Tupa explained. "Now if you want to look handsome, I'd have to give you a bath." Tupa said with a teasing grin. Tuli groaned as he was picked up by the scruff and taken to a different part of the den for his bath.

"She changed a bunch...when she first came to the outlands she was alot more violent...alot more...tough." Kovu said quietly to the others. "Now...now I couldn't even tell she was raised by Baya." Kovu said with a chuckle, as he shook his head in disbelief. He turned his attention to his young daughter again, and laid down next to Kiara. He licked his daughter, and then looked to Kiara with admiration in his eyes. "I have a feeling she'll be a great queen some day..." Kovu murmured.

"I know she will be." Simba chimed in with a warm smile. "After all. She has you two for parents. The odds are in her favor." Simba murmured.

Baya cackled as their eyes met once more, him being pinned down this time instead of vice versa. It wasn't rare that Vitani would over power him at times, but it was rare that they stared into each others eyes for this long. The battle was over, but Baya's heart still raced. That same rush was there, but with no cuts or bruises! To break this sort of awkward feeling from his mind, he pushed her off with one swift and strong motion. For once in the time that he knew her, he didn't feel like fighting. He just felt like being here with her. "Why are you still staring at me? Do I have something in my mane?" Baya finally said to break the silence, running his claws through his mane with an expressionless face. He then looked to their kill.

"Aren't you going to eat now? You beat me." Baya asked.

[Songo]

Nala poked at Simba's shoulder with her paw and she smiled her eyes looking at him, "You had two amazing parents aswell Simba. I remember like it was yesterday..." she laughed. Nala nuzzled Simba's furry tan cheek and she smiled, "Come lets gather the lionesses and get the hunting party going."


Giving a satisfied chuckle at the sweet Tuli and his wonderful mother Tupa, Kiara listened to Kovu's words. She gave a nod in agreement, "Tupa and Vitani were both very different...Baya is still well rough around the edges.." she muttered.

Kiara's warm brown eyes watched her parents leave the den and she looked back down at her new cub, " You will be a strong Queen and will only marry the finest Prince."

Resting her head on Kovu's strong shoulder she let out a exhausted sigh, " Soon you and I will be King and Queen. Soon we will chasing Sarabi all over the Pride lands.." she whispered as she nuzzled her face into Kovu's chocolate neck fur.

Vitani lifted her small tan paw and she shoved Baya's face away from her own playfully, she stepped towards the kill triumphantly. It had been awhile since she beat Baya and she felt proud, but there was also something strange about the way he stared at her. It only took her a moment to get caught in his gaze and she wondered if the sound of her beating heart could be heard miles away from them. But she would never display such a loving nature to Baya, she was sure he would laugh; at her.

Ripping a chunk of fresh meat from the antelope made Vitani's eyes close a moment as she savored the fresh blood and the joy of the kill. Opening her dark blue eyes once more she looked at Baya shaking her head, "There is nothing wrong with you...hush up and eat." she snapped.

Vitani took a few more morsels of food and left the rest to the big lion Baya, she rested on the soft grass as he ate. Her pink tongue left her muzzle lips as she cleaned the blood from her paws and as she fixed her ruffled hair tuft. She side glanced over at Baya and smirked, "Where to next? The watering hole? A nice shady tree?" she suggested standing to her paws in front of him.

[Baya]

Baya watched Vitani finish her meal, and when it was his turn he only took small mouth fulls. Though he was in the pride lands, his mind kept telling him to be on edge. His mind kept telling him food was scarce so he should eat a tiny bit to keep him going, even though there was an entire antelope here! Then again, Baya wasn't much of a glutton. That is why the vultures loved him so! Once he finished his portion of the antelope, he looked over to Vitani who was cleaning herself up. Baya wasn't much of a messy eater, so all that was cleaned was his own muzzle.

"Watering hole." Baya answered simply. He began to walk with her to the large watering hole nearby, that was generally shared between the animals. Baya was ready to tear into anyone who dared get in his or Vitani's way there. Then again, it wasn't so much his love for violence that fueled that flame. It was something far different. Once there, surprisingly there weren't many animals. Baya lowered his head to drink, but ended up dipping his whole head into the cold water. His face had gotten hot, even though the sun was only partially shining today.

He lifted his head out of the water and looked at Vitani for a moment. A smirk grew on his muzzle as he pushed her into the shallow watering hole. He was such a charmer! "And after you got yourself looking really pretty too. I'm SO sorry." Baya said with a teasing smirk.

The pridelands didn't notice the vulture above the entire ceremony the whole time, considering vultures had very keen eyesight and could watch from far away. The one that was watching them in particular, had flown to the elephant graveyard shortly after, entering the old Hyena lair. Geysers released hot steam, almost igniting the slow male vulture's wings.

"Ah, my little Kachero..." A sly voice said from atop a cliff that over looked the geysers. Sitting atop it was a lion of slender physique, and gray fur. His black mane had an elegant curtain style to it, his outlander nose making it obvious that he was not a pride lander by blood. His green eyes met that of the vulture as he grabbed it by the throat in midair, and brought it down to eye level.

"Now tell me. What was going on, hm?" The lion asked, stroking the buzzards bald head.

"A n-new princess was presented to the pridelands! King Kovu and Queen Kiara's cub!" The vulture squawked. The lion sighed as he closed his eyes for a moment, still stroking the vulture's head.

"Mmm. Troubling, but not too much. What of Simba, and Nala? Are they in good health?"

"Simba has aged sire, and so has Nala!" The vulture yelped as he released from the death grip. The lion sighed as he rubbed his eyes out of fatigue.

"I am not such a young thing myself either. Never did I really enjoy battle, even as a young lion. He killed Scar none-the-less, and I WILL make him pay. Perhaps then...father would watch me from the heavens, and finally see that I was not a lost cause!" The lion said with glee as he rolled onto his back.

"Mrithi..." A voice called below the cliff, as several pale and rough looking lioness's looked up at the lion on the cliff. "We got some food, but not being detected ISNT easy. Lets just kill them already and -"

"NO!" Mrithi roared as he flipped back onto his paws. He glared down at the lioness that spoke up. "I'm not a brute. Do I look like I like using brawn? No, no, no! We must strike fear into their hearts! Plant seeds of doubt! Kill them from within. Make them wish they were never born and regret that they killed Scar...then...we will grant their wish." Mrithi cackled. His ear twitched as he turned his gaze behind him.

"Ahhh. Songo. Finally, someone who I can speak to of..." Mrithi glared down at the now angry outspoken lioness. "planning. Now, I will need you to command the lionesses." Mrithi cooed. "I have much faith in you." Mrithi said with a grin.

[Songo]

Vitani gasped for air as she re-emerged to the surface she pulled herself on the bank and her blue eyes narrowed thinly at Baya. Giving her pelt a small shake she lifted her paw and pushed his head back underwater a few moments before letting him return to land. "I was hot anyway.." she said simply before laying in the cool grass.

Stretching out her body she rolled around a bit getting comfortable and then settled on her belly by Baya. She looked over at him and smiled. Many thoughts had been going through her mind since the death of her mother and all the outlanders living in the Pride lands. It was a big change but one she was glad to make with Baya by her side, she sighed. "What do you think of me...?" she asked him quietly.

Her face took a serious look and she frowned a bit, those werent the words she had in her head. But she always made everything alot harder then it should be. So why should trying to tell Baya her feelings be any different.

Smoke from the gesyers flew over her lean chocolate covered body as she stepped from the shadows. A small smirk was plastered across her muzzle and she nodded to Mrithi. Her own bright green eyes glanced down at the angry lioness and she let out a roar in protest, "Shut up you pathetic fools." she hissed as she hopped down to the lionesses level. She circled around them and the sight of her own ribs protruded a bit and she paused staring hard at them all.

"If winning was so easy dont you think we would've already done it? How can any of us with stand a fight against well fed Pride landers. If we dont use are brains we will end up dead." she snapped. The lionesses let out a few grumbles and disappeared into the bony wasteland and Songo looked up at Mrithi. She gave a small nod and decided to let them talk amongst each other, when they were truly tried of starving and sneaking around they would step forth and fight.

Songo hopped up a ledge and stood aside Mrithi, "Soon we will have the numbers we need...but how can we shake their faith from within?" she wondered. Songo's green eyes stared at Mrithi as he paced back and forth before her and she wondered what he had in mind. She let her mind wander a bit as she thought back to their brighter days, when she first discovered him in the Outlands. He was young and fueled by hate and now the hate grew into a lasting final mission, one she would follow him to the ends of the earth for.
