Manyota decided to check things out behind the Elephant Skull. She first smelled it, then, she heard two lionesses and one male. Then, she jumped and attacked. Leave me and the unborn cub alone! Then, Manyota slapped the Sirom, then the Sykara, then Huyani. Then, Manyota growled at the three outsiders. then, all Manyota did was growl. Then, she hissed at them. Then, she pinned Sirom. Go away from here! I live in this Skull! then, she slapped him.

Sykara simply nodded as Sirom introduced himself to Huyani in turn, and just as she was about to say "Yes" to Sirom's question, another strange lioness suddenly appeared in front of the trio, slapped them in the faces, and pinned Sirom down
to the ground.

Wonderful. Another Pridelander!

She walked up to Sirom, worry filled in her eyes, before turning back to Manyota, Sykara's face full of anger and confusion for Manyota's anger.

"If you're from the Pridelands, then please leave us alone, and apologies to you if we tresspassed on your territory without any knowing of it. If you're an Outlander, like we are, then none of us have seen you before, and therefore have done nothing to harm you. So please, leave all of us alone. Pain still emerged from Sykara's slap, but that didn't stop her from talking, her breaths getting louder and louder as her frustration grew. "You do not OWN the skull. In fact, none of us do. So, leave us alone."

Vitani would acknowledge that she wasn't the best swimmer; well, lions didn't really swim, did they? She'd say more words to Kovu, who was under the water himself, but that would only fuel the flames of this unncessesary battle between the two siblings.

Mother? Why does she matter now? Mother is dead, and all she wanted was power. You should know that, Kovu. What's happened to you today?

Vitani clumsily padded her way up to the surface, on the edge of giving up, but she made it as her slippery and wet claws managed to cling unto some grass. Vitani eventually managed to pull her way up, kicking as hard as she could in order to pull her entire body weight up to safety. As her nose was almost clogged up with the water, Vitani's muzzle finally made it up to surface, as her legs still kicked furiously. Soon came her entire head, and Vitani could finally open up her eyes again. Her confidence improved, as she could now breathe properly again. As her entire arms clung unto grass, and her legs no longer needed to kick, Vitani finally got out of water and unto the safer surface of the land.

Daring herself not to look back and check on Kovu, Vitani ran as fast as she could back to Pride Rock, not taking a rest. Drops of water still clung unto her pelt, and occasionally fell off of her fur and dripped on the ground. When she saw Simba, Nala, and Kivuli, also trekking back to the Pride Lands, Vitani padded to them, not running this time, as she felt like her legs were almost going to fall off her body.

"Simba..?"

Vitani looked straight into the king's eyes, and began to tell him what happened today.

There was an Outsider, right next to the border, and Kovu attacked her, even though she didn't hurt anything. I told him to stop, but he didn't...he threw me in the waterhole, and now I don't know where he is..."

Is Simba actually going to believe this?

Manyota wanted to slap Sykara, but couldn't. But Manyota didn't get off of Sirom. I'm an outsider thank you very much. You haven't seen me before hmm, well, that's your problem, not mine. And i'm with a cub, even for being at a very young age. And I want the skull, and your not stoping me. Manyota looked into Sykara's eyes. And growled into them.

"Who dies she think she is?The queen of the Elephant Graveyard"?

Manyota wanted to go back into her skull, but she knew that there'd be a disscution going on in a couple of mintutes. But one thing one was, Manyota was going to end the disscution.


Then, Manyota looked into Sirom's eyes. They reminded her of the unborn cub's father. Look, I'm staying here in the Elephant Graveyard.I came from the outlands. It was bright, too bright for me to stay there. I had to go to a dark place, since Zira died, and knowone was around, I relized I had to leave there. Then, I found this place. so, I'm staying here. I take it you two are too? Manyota said looking into both of their eyes.

A Vitani ran off, Kovu was trying to stay above water. But it wasn't going good. He tried to hold his breath for a few mintutes, but ended up breathing out. He was looseing air. He was about to drown.

That darn Vitani! I'm going to get her for you mother!And I will get her to show you how much I cared for you! I promise......

But something happened, he snapped. It seemed like Zira came out of his body, but was planning to come back in. Kovu tried to swim, but couldn't, he then rememebered the time he almost drowned while learning how to swim from the teachings of his mother, but his mother wasn't with him at that time. Then, it seemed like Kovu's memory went blank, and so did his mind, he was falling deeper into the waterhole. But when he was about to close his eyes for good, something snapped in him again, he was able to swim up. Then, a paw was on land. then, he got his whole body out of the waterhole.

Kovu then was gasping for air, then got some. Then, he remembered that he had to go tell Simba about that lioness, before he snapped. Then got up, but very slowly. And then started to run. It felt like his first steps, or his first run. But ne thing was he had to tell Simba. Then, he saw him.

Simba!

Then, Kovu saw Vitani. What's she doing there? But, Kovu just ran over to Simba, going to tell about what happened.

Simba! I'm glad your still here! You see, I was patroling in the pridelands, when I decided to patrol at the Elephant Graveyard, but then, I saw this lioness, I said I'd report her to you, but I had to pin her atlest four times to stop her, then all a sudden, I attacked her, then, Vitani left. So I left the outsider lioness. Then, I pushed Vitani into the water. Then, I nearly drowned. But then I got out and came to you.

I hope he believes my story and not Vitani's

Sirom wasn't aware that another lioness was spying on them from a distance. He glanced over to Sykara and noticed her nod of approval and when things were looking good for them, out of nowhere, a mysterious lioness came out of her hiding spot, paw slapping all three lions in their furry faces. Things were happening so fast as Sirom's eyes widen in an antagonize matter, unable to reattain himself quickly enough and was roughly pounced to the ground. Simultaneously pressing both fore paws against the lioness's furry chest, he glanced up into her eyes with despair, still startled from this attack. The first thoughts that were coursing through his mind were the well being of Sykara and Huyani's conditions.

"Ermph... Wh... Who are you? What do you want?" Sirom's voice trailed off weakly, trying his best effort to shove the lioness off of him. He wasn't in good condition, not really having enough energy to break the lioness's hold against him. Being in a dangerous situation, Sirom's fuzzy brown ears perked up to hear the lioness speak of her territory.

"You're an Outlander too? In that case, you should treat us with more respect. Coming out in full force and claiming territory isn't going to get you far in these lands. Besides, we were just about to leave this section of the Outlands." Sirom managed to say, slipping out a low, intimidating growl. Things weren't looking good for him, Sykara and Huyani. The last thing they needed was a outrageous lioness in their path.

"Ugh... Can you GET OFF ME? If you let us go now, we'll let you have this part of the Outlands. So, what do you say?" Sirom offered and struggled in the lioness's grasp.

The silence around Simba, Nala and Kivuli was soon shattered by a distraught lioness who came charging towards them. Simba couldn't tell who it was at first until he squinted those caring eyes of his to get a better look. It was Vitani and she seemed in a horrible state. Shocked about what has happened to Vitani, the king listened carefully to her story and stopped in his tracks immediately. He took in all what she had to say and made a unsure expression. An Outlander amongst the border of the Pride Lands? Was Vitani really telling the truth? Simba observed her once more and noticed the sheer concern on her muzzle and eyes. It was really convincing to him and he leaned in to give Vitani a nuzzle.

"Vitani, I'm terribly sorry to see what has happened. Your brother should have been more civilized on this matter. Don't worry about the Outlander for now, I'll go and deal with this issue. I'm really concerned about your well-being, are you hurt anywhere? What sustained injuries did you get?" Simba asked politely, having a concerned facial expression pasted on his furry face.

Before things can get any worse, Simba's nostrils picked up a familiar scent and he soon looked over to spot Kovu making his way towards him.

"Kovu? We need to discuss some matters." The king boldly said, beginning to listen to his side of the story on what's been going on between the borders. Simba let out a deep sigh, giving a nod in response to Kovu's story before speaking up.

"Kovu, I understand what you're trying to tell me and I really do appreciate you for keeping those Outlanders out of the Pride Lands. What I don't find exciting is the fact you put your sister in harms way and you physically harmed her at one point. That's not the Kovu I visioned here, I know things can get boiled up deep inside of you. The last thing I want is you hurting your sister or any Pridelander for that matter. Could you please keep your temper in check?" Simba said calmly, glancing back over to Vitani who seemed to regain most of her stamina back.

"Vitani, do you by any chance know where this Outlander is going? Or where it went?" The king asked softly, still showcasing a concerned facial expression.

Before she replied to Kivuli, Vitani exploded onto the scene, looking very uncharacteristically shaken.

"Great Kings!" Nala exclaimed hearing her story which helped to explain Vitani's state. "I never thought Kovu would be one to do something so foolish. Don't worry, we'll have words with him. Is that him there actually?"

It turned out that it was Kovu approaching fast from the direction of the graveyard. Nala was considerably less restrained than Simba when she heard what he had to say for himself.

"Have you gone mad Kovu?" she cried in utter exasperation. "What were you doing alone in the outlands? You could have been killed! And why on earth did you attack them? You could bring all out war down on all of our heads. I thought that you cared about Kiara and our pride more than that. What's gotten into you?"

Vitani's pants of exhaustion that had occured while she was telling her story seemed to lighten at the thoughts inside her head that said Simba believed her story more than that of her brother. Even the great king's nuzzle seemed to make her be able to stand up on all four legs again, even if not for long.

To answer Simba's question, Vitani said, "Thank you. I was slapped on the face, and I believe that is the only true thing that's hurting me right now." The young lioness turned her face to one side to show the small marks Kovu's claws had left on her face, the shallow cut still stinging from her accidental swim. "The Outlander is probably still in the Elephant Graveyard. There was also another Outlander lion and lioness, but they did not do anything to harm me or my brother."

Vitani sighed and waited for a response from Kovu, but she felt the need to say something more, something that was tearing her from the moment Kovu had said it. "Kovu was saying something about Zira, and fulfilling what she had in mind for him ever since he was born."

Will this incident today, will it break my friendship with Kovu? The one that we've had since cubs, and the one that Zira almost destroyed, months ago? Will his mind get more insane?

And, the hardest one to bear for Vitani,

Is Zira talking to him from the unknown?

Vitani simply edged back, hoping that Nala's pleas would also help Kovu's mind.

Sykara was still next to Sirom's side, her claws flexing against the ground, in case she needed to battle for the well being of her companion as well. Her ears flopped back in sadness, as her next words came out.

"Please, whoever you are, let Sirom go, and all three of us will leave you and your unborn cub alone. We can easily find another place in the Outlands to settle," her voice was getting louder, and her mind hoped that Sykara didn't unecessarily burst into tears. "Even though we all know we can't just CLAIM territory like this. After all, many lions and lionesses have been here before you have. But if you let Sirom go, we will make an exception."

But will she still just accept Sirom's deal?

Huyani watched Sirom and this new lionesses closely. She rubbed her now injured paw slapped face, and sighed at it. First few moment here and she had already been tackled and pinned four times, attacked twice and been paw slapped.

"Ughh..."

"Mind explaining to me why you bother to jump more of your own kind, Outsiders, and claim territory like it's your own?" She implied as calmly as she could make it. The random attacks had to stop sooner or later, and she was kinda curious about this new lioness, and what her motives where in doing this.

Kovu couldn't beleive what happened, he was being betrayed again. He was upset now. He closed his eyes,with an upset face, he couldn't bare to look at Vitani now. Kovu culdn't beleive than his own sister would do that to him. Then, Kovu turned around for a second. Then, turned back around, ready to speck.

Kovu still couldn' think at that moment. Then, he'd answer Simba's question. "Simba, I didn't mean it. Something happened, I don't know what, but something happened. I wish I could tell you, but I can't tell you." Then, Kovu looked at Vitani. then, back at Simba. "Look, I don't know what was wrong with me. But one thing is, I feel like I don't belong here."

Kovu then, started to walk away when he remembered Nala's questions. Then, he walked back. "I haven't gone mad, and why would you say that, I would never do that, but somehow I did. And I was patroling, like I always do. I didn't attack them, I only pinned her, but when something hit me, I attacked the outsider. I care about Kiara and the pride with all my heart, but I don't know what got into me."

That's it, this ruined Vitani and I's friendship.I'm not going to talk to her.

Then, Kovu was thinking what to say to Vitani.

I don't know what happened to me, but I think Zira's ghost came into me.

Then, Kovu wondered something.

Is Zira my real mother?

Then, Kovu started to walk away. "Thanks alot Vitani." Then, Kovu ran off to the waterhole.

Manyota looked at the two with powerful eyes. Then, Manyota got off of Sirom. "Fine, but...." Manyota didn't want to say it, but she had to. "But I want to stay with you two, besides, my cub would need to know a few lionesses and a lion. Besides, what if a pridelander comes and kills me or my cub?

Then, Manyota waited for a reply. As she did, she saw a rather big rat, then, she stalked at it, then jumped and killed it. "Besides, I'm a good hunter."Manyota then smiled and gave the mouse to them. Then, Manyota decided to tell her name. My names Manyota, and what are your names?

I hope they let me stay with them.

Vitani sighed as Kovu ran off again. It was probably true that everyone had their days, and sometimes, in Kovu's case, the results would and DID, cause injuries of other lions. Maybe Zira's ghost had come into him, and made Kovu go into some sort of bloodwrath..

Guilt was surging through Vitani, and now it seemed like this time the guilt would paralyze her paws to the ground, and she'd stay there forever. Maybe...just maybe..was she a little bit too harsh to Kovu?

But still, Kovu had physically harmed lions and lionesses, most of them Kovu had never seen in his life, and probably never will see again. Vitani blinked once again at the scenery, guilt still trapping her from ears to tail.

Sykara listened to Manyota's words with intent, and while she had attacked Sirom, her feelings toward the expecting lioness were starting to change. At least she had gotten off him.

"I doubt even the Pridelanders would kill a lioness and her cub." Once again, Sykara remembered Kinahra and her rather compassionate actions toward her, Sirom, and Shani. "But, if you promise to not attack us again at random, we will.." Sykara still wanted to hear Huyani's and Sirom's approval or dissaproval. "Anyways, my name's Sykara."

Huyani narrowed her green eyes at the lionesses. She completly disapproved of her tagging along, but then again, if she was able to meet this two and tag along just then, why couldn't this lionesses? Yet she didn't attack either of them. Her eyes shone in disapprovment, but Huyani didn't say a word about it. "The name's Huyani." she said, and slowly looked away after speaking to her.
