Yeah, and there are soooo many theories about Vitani and Kovu's parentage etc. The only thing we know for sure is that Simba is Mufasa and Sarabi's son and Nala is Sarafina's daughter. I don't think anyone disagrees with that. Yet.

In my theory, Vitani doesn't have Scar as her father. It would be sick because Kopa and Vitani would be related.

Many people say that, too. It depends on the way you see it. Marrying your first cousin is legal in many countries, and in some cultures it's even preferred (!).
And if Scar was Vitani's father, Kopa would be the son of her cousin (Simba). Some people think it's sick, I think it's just weird. But... they are lions.

That's true. That's why they didn't want Kovu to be Scar's son. But were the Disney people trying to say that marrying your cousin/parent's cousin is a bad thing? That would offend someone...

I think they were. I love how all the little girls running around wanting to be a real princess don't realize that real princesses married 1st and 2nd cousins (nearly all royal/noble families) or even their own brother (Ancient Egypt). It's all about keeping the bloodlines pure and politics.

To apply this to TLK, keep the Simba-Nala half-sibling/cousin marriage (since only Mufasa or Scar can be Nala's father). Now that is confirmed that all of Zira's cubs are not Scar's, you don't have to worry about anymore "incest" relationships.

For my own fan-tree, I will keep Zira's cubs being fathered by Scar to keep to the original storyline and real life monarchy models.

But cousins are not too close relatives.

Don't know but the example I brought up was Ancient Egypt. Pretty sure they don't do that anymore.

If you have fan characters, then you could. However, the canon version of Nala's father has to be either Mufasa or Scar. That information was given from the directors of TLK.

that's not official, since it was just something on the spot and they never thought about it before. really they just didn't even think about Nala's father at all during production, and had no intention of making it Mufasa or Scar. only afterwards did they realize the only official cannon males they put in TLK were Mufasa and Scar so there was no other option.

and it doesn't make any sense for Nuka to be Scar's son. if Zira was so obsessed with Scar and so in love with him, why would she cheat on him and have Kovu and Vitani? plus why would Scar chose the cub of his mate's other lover as his heir if he had Nuka? it doesn't make sense. I think Zira was just deluded and believe that Scar actually had feelings for her since he picked her cub as his heir.

It is acctually offical that Nuka isn't Scr's son. I found that out a few months ago.
