The trainer looked over the tired trainees. "Alright, run once around the cave system and then go get some sleep. Meet here tomorrow at sunrise again." He watched as they ran off. But before Delano and Muroki could go anywhere, he stopped them. "You two, wait!"

Delano and Muroki stopped, although truth be told, they did't exactly start either. The trainer looked over them in closer detail.

"You will have to drop out." He told them bluntly.

Muroki's jaw nearly dropped as the trainer told them that, "What?"

"I can't let you stay," the trainer said, "the two of you can barely keep up, you'r always last, and now look: you can barely stand. Don't think that I don't notice how you collapsed just now." He sighed and shook his head. "I simply cannot let you kill yourselves just for a simple job. Which is why I want you to leave tomorrow morning after you get some rest."

Delano was shocked almost to the point of speechlessness."But... we can't." He muttered. "We need to finish."

The trainer looked at them, waiting for them to explain.. "Why?"

Muroki frowned, "Well maybe if you told us that it matters who came last we would have made a bigger effort." he didn't do all of that just to be told he needed to drop out. "Everybody collapsed just now, it wasn't only us." He hated telling the reason they were doing this to every single lion they came across. "We're doing this for our parents. They were murdered." he said simply, not feeling like he owed the trained any further explanation.

The trainer stopped. At first, all he heard were excuses, but then it turned sour really fast. "Murdered by whom?" He asked.

Delano took a breath before answering. "We don't know... We were told that it's likely that the underworld was involved. So we want to get inside and find out."

The trainer stared at them, shocked. "You really are suicidal." He muttered. "So you were told to join up here and learn how to survive, correct?"

Muroki looked at the trainer, "Pretty much." he was going whether they did finish the training or not. He didn't care whether they came in last or not, maybe it just meant that they needed a little more training than the others. There was nothing the trainer could say that would change his mind.

The trainer shook his head. "So I also imagine that there is no way to convince you to change your minds..." He thought for some time. "Look, as you are now, you can barely keep up. What I am afraid is that one day, you will reach a point where you will do more harm than good. And as it stands now, I will give that moment as only a few days from now. So unless you can convince me otherwise, I will have to keep you from participating in the training. It's too much for you."

"We only need train enough to survive the underworld. We just don't know what that is exactly." Delano said.

Muroki looked at the trainer, "Fine, I'll prove it to you." there was just something in the way the trainer was treating them that really brought up Muroki's anger and motivation.

The trainer narrowed his eyes at Muroki. "Alright, I'll let you two stay. For now." He said. "But if I see that you can' handle it, I will have no other option but to force you to leave. Got it?" He sighed, annoyed. "And this time I really mean it. Now go run around the caves and link up with the others."

Delano and Muroki ran off, leaving the trainer. "I thought we were done for." Delano admitted as they ran.

Muroki rain, a determined look on his face, "I'll show him 'handling'."
