Part of me wishes they would put out a new TLK video game.

It was a good game, now I just can not play it. I mean I can but I just can not enjoy it, as is the case with a lot of other classic games. I can see why they are loved in terms of nostalgia, but even playing the old Crash Bandicoot games turned sweet childhood memories into a sweet nightmare XD. They just have so many bad camera angles, and glitches but you dont realise them at first, then when you play them years later you start to see these things for what they are.

I pretty much play only old games after I sold my PS3. SNES is my specialty. Super Mario World 2 and Link to the Past are my 2 favorites easy.
What about the 1994 classic: The Lion King for SNES/Game Gear/ MS DOS + a few more consoles?
It's a good game but I wouldn't call it a classic. The difficulty makes me want to pull my hair out lol.

I play old games all the time and have equal fun that I'd have with modern ones.

Guess it just depends on the person.

And, I'm pretty sure that a decent amount of newer games still have bad camera angles and glitches. They ain't going away.

Yeah but not to the extent of older games, some of them are near unplayable, I can forgive a game like Kingdom Hearts, where you hold forward to run through a door, then run straight back into it because the camera has 180ed. I think the reason why a lot of people, or at least speaking for myself, find The Lion King so difficult is not that the game itself is hard, but the the gameplay is kind of odd. Simba feels really light in it, and sensitive to movement, you merely have to tap the D-pad and he runs full pace.

I am a -massive- fan of retro games. They have a certain charm to them that modern games just do not have. There are more widely available platformers (which, sadly are not so common in modern gaming days), the music has that retro-y feel to it and I find, are also a lot more catchy than all that rock band crap you get in the present gaming era. I find cartridges a lot more reliable! And, nostalgia plays a big part for me.

My three favourites have got to be the Mega Drive, SNES and PS1. Best. Consoles. EVER.

As for the games? I am quite the fan of retro Sonic, Mario, Pokemon, Donkey Kong Country, Mega Man, Spyro, Crash Bandicoot and Rayman.

So umm yeah, I do love my retro games xP hehe.
